I previously sold my own ride n actually gained at least 10k compared to dealer n ad offer. The con was about timing between disposing of old ride n taking ownership of next ride. I was few weeks wihout a ride. This u cant control. Thus, a number of car owners preferred to have a seamless transition where they just drive in old ride to collect new one.�

That said, some dealers esp ADs will give you an overtrade for your ride and even though they quote you lower, the overtrade more than makes up for the lower price quoted. You will not be able get this difference if you got no car to trade in eg Your car worth $30k, they give you a $5k overtrade but value your car only at $28k so take in your car at $33k so you still better off by $3k.

I am on the verge of signing up for a new Vezel. I have narrowed down my choices to JDM and Auto Selection. The reason is purely based on prices. They are both selling at $104,8xx guaranteed COE without topups.
I have a better feel at Auto Selection. The place seems nice and professional. Freebies are printed out so there are no inconsistencies. Not sure though if they are willing to give out more if requested. And it seems that their business is quite good. Always have to wait my turn to get tended to both times i am there. The only negative is that their COE rebate is at $48k whereas JDM is at $50.8k.
However, I am leaning towards JDM for the higher rebate value since we are in a falling COE environment right now. Sales lady also said she can give me more extras once i am very sure about signing. I have been reading up on FB and here and found quite a fair bit of warnings abt JDM. I read abt one FB user's bad experience but are all experiences with them the same?
Anyone has any thoughts or experiences pls share to enlighten me b4 its too late... After which my wife will kill me if anything goes wrong. LoL.

Will be signing today. And will try to get a confirmed delivery date. I have looked ard quite a lot. Since I am not a risk taker, i wanted the guranteed COE no topups package. And from that, the best offer will be from JDM. But since there has been some bad reviews and from my experience with dem I have decided against it.
From the way I see it, prices are all pretty much the same. Its juz where the risk is allocated to. I have a good feel at Auto Selection so will go with dat. Contractually they are supposed to get the COE no matter what, so it does not bother me when they will bid for it. And yes, I agree they will probably not bid as long as there is a chance to get COE lower and closer to the $48k rebate value.
Either way, whichever COE package we opt for, there will be pros and cons. Juz a matter of which one we prefer. Cheers. :)

Nope. Cancelled my order with that PI and bought a new mazda 3 from eurokars instead. Hahaha delivery in 1 to 2 weeks time. Got my coe in 2 bids from eurokars... AD is so much different from the particular PI I dealt with...

6bid guranteed w/o top up does not mean you will get ur coe 6bid after u signed. Not only J**. I get from ex**us gl****. Got coe after on the 8th after I signed in mar 15. Now still waiting for car. Till now still no news. Best is write down compensation if not able to delivery after certain date. Hardcode the date in the contract for coe and delivery date. Contract will indicate estimate delivery which we are in losing end.
Despite reminding the SE that they ough to bid for me on the 6th bid but they failed to submit a single bid, I cancelled my contract with them.

now those PI that are like the one that you bought from are hoping the COE to drop further and are now selling at 102 to 106 where established players are selling at 108 to 110.

Sometimes company states the min selling price n package, SEs quote themselves using that as baseline. Extra they keep, too low they eat into commission.
I asked my friend to call in foe quotes, same PI, diff SE. 2 of them quoted different prices. And the higher price one still said price is final. The lower one can still nego..

I havent tested mazda 3 yet. The Hatchback Mazda 3 in Soul Red is damn chio. But the skyactive engine is over rated. I would prefer a diesel engine in Mazda 3, design the cabin to be as spacious as the Vezel with magic seats. Then is a worthy car to consider. Tested the also sexy Mazda 6 2.5L Wagon. But cabin very small for a hunky car. Long but not wide. 2.5L, so much untapped power for the sake of better FC. Dat was a sianz part also. Else i wud really love that car too. Cos i am a wagon guy

I like vezel space but I also asked myself if I need the space...haha...im the sedan guy but I also find the hatchback good looking. Anyway my verdict btw vezel n mazda 3 deluxe (abt same price, I bought my mazda3 del 104.888k)...
Vezel:
Engine better more bhp same capacity.
More versatile Space (taller but shorter than maz3).
Fuel consumption slightly better.
Cheaper accessories (original mazda sports pedals cost 250sgd!)
Weaker gearbox (im not a fan of CVT. Maz3 uses 6 speed auto).
No electric seat.
No sunroof (sunroof is std in all maz3).
Higher CG means lower stability. Maz3 handling is confirm better and more stable at 1.339 tone (tested hrv vs maz3)
Guess vezel will b the best choice for family people :) till then I will stick to sedan 1st

Am i missing something here? 51k body + 58k COE = 109K. How is dat cheaper than 105k guaranteed COE no topups assuming COE is at 58k as u mentioned? This is extremely confusing bekoz obviously 105k is a smaller number than 109k.

They will then be liable for compensation as it is stated in black and white and can be sued and at the same time risk their reputation as social media and forums in this age gives us consumers an advantage to share these discrepancies openly to the general public. How are we as consumers to know if a dealer outright wants to cheat you? That's where choosing a dealer with a good track record comes to play.

We do not know the contents of the sales pitch and verbal tantalising by SE. Whether it is congruent to the intention of the buyer b4 signing the contract.
After perusing the T&C stated in faint fine print behind the SA and PA for trade in, the whole deal seems unilateral.
Suppose the buyer's fair requests are turned down and have to continue with the purchase despite realising his intentions were not to lose paper value of the car upfront despite accepting a higher than market price purchase due to his lack of information when signing the deal.
Must congratulate the SE. He scored a home run! Ka ching ka ching.
But technically, no balance deposit can be forfeited. And no deposit for purchase was given to seller of trade in car, hence there is still a way out of the sure lose deal.

As with Jover Chew case, nothing much can be done as consumers here are not well protected. Being in a more civilized and advanced society, we consumers assume that businesses are run ethically without the intention to cheat. It took a social media outcry to put that Jover behind bars.
For now, we can only rely on social media platforms, forums and word of mouth to distinguish the good from the bad dealers. From what I have been seeing online, the good ones are Hup Long, Auto Selection and a few others.
But the good dealers are not cheap. And Auto Selection only recently dropped their prices to be in the competitive range. Which, is lucky for me else I might have signed with those super good offers from unreputable dealers and may not be sleeping well at night now.

Buying a car was so complicated. I think this only happen in Singapore.
Complicated and risky only if buying from PI. There are only 1 or 2 PIs where the whole process could be much smoother and worry free but you will have to pay top dollars for it, negating the benefit of buying the car from PI.

For mine package (Not from Auto Selection), it only comes with 1750. Therefore requires topup if need 2750, 5750, 8750.
But as sound is not my main concern. I asked my PI to sway my current 5550 with the 1750 instead, at least my 5550 comes with BT.

Hence if sound is not a big issue for you, I think you can save money from not upgrading, haha. Just my 2 cents.

btw guys, understand for half-leather,�Syntactic Leather will be used.
With today's technology, synthetic leather are more durable, lighter, and probably have less of an impact on the environment for production. (Of coz wun have the genuine leather smell)

Booked on 30th May and collected 6th Aug. Net car price is 56K, think the PI really laughs all the way to the bank. Paid additional 780 (and GST!!!) for Cool&Lite Titan solar film, 580 (and GST!!!) for upgrading to Pioneer 8750.

With the premium paid, one should expect better service. But when collection, Iroad V7 was missing and solar film looks quite dirty (seems like a rush job). Will have to drive to the workshop for iroad installation this week.

Conclusion: All PI (including�mine who is of the most reputable ones) will try all the ways to maximize their profit. But at least I got to collect my car instead of waiting endlessly

Last week my SE told me my car arrive in sg and awaiting for appointment for VITAS inspection. Appointment with VICOM will take 2-3 weeks.
I called up VICOM and was told appointment will take at most 2-3 days to make and inspection will complete in 1 day.
Dunno whats holding PI and telling us VITAS takes a few weks.
Is the risk high getting a CEV $10K.

We will also require motor dealers to submit documents such as test reports or certificates to substantiate the declared MPO values.

I have been asking a few PI on S model regarding CEV if it's confirm $5K, one of them even say can be $10K depending on batch. I tried asking PI to state rebate if it's CEV $10K but was rejected.

I did consider... but i'm priced out for it.. S is my max i can go... I'm a very heavy usage guy 99%city with alot of start stop.. ignition starts about average 30times a day..
