    Hi Guys and Gals,

Anyone knows where to buy the Hard Tonneau Cover for the Vezel? preferably a place with ex stock.

    Thanks alot
    K

Right now still not much accessories can be found ex stock. Mostly buy from toaboa. My HU installer did bring some from Taiwan; visor, side step ... etc, but limited quantity. Company name is Link Auto Accessories, call Chong 9666 7469 if u wish to enquire more.

Did my 3x coats at ceramic pro for about $1250 on 15Jan. After 3 weeks of torture under the weather, water is still beading on the coating; not just the car body, but also the windscreen. Rain drops practically fly off the coating surface when strong wind blows at it. Tyres are still shiny and rims are still free of brake dust. What do you think?

Ps: I am not affiliated to ceramic pro in any way. Just my personal observation on the coating applied to my car.

I did mine end Nov 14. Results is the same as yours and still very good condition. Easy washing as well.

I went to do this in less than 30 days after getting car, so my warranty is 10 years ... But am being realistic, if can last for 5 years very good alri. The only 1 thing that I dislike is the coating on windscreen. It makes the wiper jerk if small amount of rain/water.

    Hi bro Dino,
Haha, me also a noob in HU... Seem like pioneer HU is a popular choice.
No experience in getting car from PI... So like to ask some more question..
Does you mean you pay on your own for the HU, solar film with additional to the car price.. How much?
If not convience to discuss about your package, can pm me.

Hi bro, this is a tough one. There were many theory and debate on this. Start/stop of course lower FC but not good for engine and battery. However theory behind is now days tech is cater for this. There are capacitor to store the power needed to run air con, HU ... etc during off engine. Also engine design has been change to withstand more start/stop.

As for me, I only fully depress the brake pedal to activate the start/stop when there is longer idling/stop time. If only short stop, I depress brake just enough stop the car from moving.

Yup. Too many debates. But basically the eng start stop is different from a full crank of the engine hence the damage may be lesser, as according to some techies. But there is also a recent article last year which pit against this technology. Anyway this tech had been around for years. To me, i will simply try both. If the fuel efficiency savings is less than 10%, then I find it pointless to activate.

Bro, so your opinion means I should use the start/stop engine or ? I still haven't get my car yet, so I just reading up on all of this theories u all put on this forum for reference.

Or should I just use the start/stop engine since it's already there for us to use?

Very very unlikely a w40 engine oil lead to vibrations

You could meet a vezel owner or two to compare the vibration sound that you been experiencing.

my ride also had some vibration noise i thought was coming from my dashboard. guess what..it was actually my front recording camera vibrating. perhaps it was at its resonating frequency hence e larger resonance. used my fingers clamp it a while it stops.

Hmmm will try shell or esso for my next full tank and see how it goes. Currently using mobil 1 5w30 eo. Just to check eco mode on is when u see the green leaf on the display right?

Eco mode on = green leaf lights on. With Eco mode off, there is more power. Try it to feel the difference. Plan to switch off Eco mode when driving in Malaysia during the CNY, especially on highway for better over-taking.

how much did they coat? i found 5 layers 9H ceramic $500 kangtao which i haggled for that offer. 5 yrs warranty with min $100 a year "servicing" somehow i dun mind that $100 a yr..planning to add 2 coats every yr. reason why i need a super thick coat is becos my estate CP has ALOT of irritating pickup trucks and lorries parked here. the way they swing the door is horrible. Honda paint is famous for being thin. Prev accord kena paint chips..6 paint chips in 5mths. it only had 2 layers of 5H glass coating then for showroom shine, easy cleaning and water sheeting... if coating doesn't work to prevent some scratches and chips,i wud have to go for clear sheets installed for the doors..but those r expensive!

Hi guys. I'm been lurking in this thread for some time ever since I saw a black Vezel parked near my house. There's really a ton of useful information here and I appreciate everyone sharing their experience here.

I'm one of those conservative types who prefer to buy from Kah Motor because I've heard about the horror stories about buying from PI. And finally, it seems like Kah Motor will bring in the HR-V this year. I expected the higher pricing, but the spec sheet showing "Halogen lights" (I'm assuming they're the typical yellow lights) for all 3 models really made me think twice about buying from them. That is probably the one thing I was looking forward to in any new car I'm getting, and it makes no sense to me because the X and S models have white LED lights.

I have a few questions about buying cars from PI.

If I buy from a PI, can I still go back to KM workshops for servicing?

Bro... These are stuffs to take note

    Headunit (min avh2650bt)
Steering audio control (X model and above)
    Leather seats
    Vezel floor mat
    Solar film
    Window visors
Front and reverse sensors (comes with reverse cam)
    Front and back cameras
    GPS
    Boot tonneau cover
    Vezel boot mat
    Free servicing

Are these the standard packages I should ask for when I buy the car? Do PI really throw in window visors and front/back cameras, cos I had to buy them on my own for my Jazz. Should I make sure the electrical retractable side mirrors are included too, as I've read that someone's X model didn't have the steering audio control even though that's supposed to be standard for that model?

There are also generally 2 types of PI; direct importer and non direct, meaning they buy from other PI that import the cars before selling to you. From what I have been told, direct importers are bound by LTA to repair any car recalls even after warranty period, FOC.

Where can I check which PI are direct importers?

Wow, 5 layer for that price is cheap, if compare to other. Can I know what company is that?
He quote me $750 coat 2 layers on the exterior, 1 layer on windows and rims with 5 year warranty any time can go back if any problem..
Saw it online, clear sheets once you remove you car paint Colour will change and you need to respray again, not sure is true or not.

Is it available in the market already? The most effective way to reduce body roll is to lower the height and increase anti roll bar size. Too bad vezel come with torsion beam set for the rear.

The list of PIs and the things to ask/negotiate for will prove to be very helpful to newbies like me who has never bought a newcar before. Yes, I am super green and most likely will be taken as a carrot top when I see the sales execs :(

I note that there has not been many recommendations for PI except for Mistercar in this forum. I do see a lot of you going to Hup Long and Leco though. So perhaps I will go to them as well since I do not know any better.

I would advise bros hereto find out more on ceramic coating before proceeding. It is definitely not scratch proof. My petrol inlet cover was accidentally scratched by the pump attendant while pushingthe pump nozzle into the tank's inlet. I guess there is no such thing as scratch proof coating. However, it did help to lighten the scratch mark.

    Hi all bros,

do you allhave concern regarding having additional hard objects install at the airbag areas (steering wheel, dashboard). I am thinking that when the airbag activates, these items may accidentally throw at the passenger or driver at very high speed thus causing seriousinjury. Example are :

    the round ring:

and the steering wheel metal "V":

Just hit half tank, very happy with the consumption, at least 40% better than my old ride. Without Econ mode

That's very good FC, considering the tank capacity of Vezel is 40 litres, means you're getting 20km/l FC. [thumbsup]

However, it did help to lighten the scratch mark.

yeh definitely not scratch proof..my prev ride had cats claw marks. however the visible scratch seen is on the coating, unless super deep svratch by penknife then sure enter paint level..a quick hand polish faded the marks significantly..i tink if they touch up for me free by adding coating wud be fine. but b4 i went for touch up i sold my prev ride alredy haha..buyer urgently needed handover..wud have been nice to see how the complimentary after sales service was...buyer of my prev ride wud also enjoyed e freebie

    Hi, everyone,

I am new to this forum and I'm reading this because I am looking to buy a Honda Vezel :)

Just wanna say thank you and hope to see more joiners to this excellent forum!

Ya, Hup Long seems toappear quite a lot in the collected section..

If you see the latest list, there is one from Hup Long, jan delivery, still in the booked section.

Not sure what is the issue? may be too many orders and cannot support all of them?.

with the recent discussion on paint protection, im wondering if it might have helped with the scratch i got.. a long one on my rear passenger door! wonder who is the culprit! heart very pain!!

do be gentle on the revs on mineral. for us in sg,the start stop kind of traffic requires us to service frequently. according to a table my mechanic fren showed me is abt 8000km for our traffic. european countries or USA they do alot more cruising than us hence the table shows 15-20k on full synthetic

I like this too. But my HU does not come with HDMI port and it has only 1 USB port. Give up the idea some time ago. Sianz... [:(]

pokadot, how does HDMI/USB port in HU affect installation of the USB/HDMI panel? I thought can just buy and then go to any workshop for installation?

I am keen to install the panel but not sure whether it can be done in my yet to be registered vezel or not.

Hi Vezelers, i was quoted $500 just to upgrade my headunit from a 1650DVD to 2750BT. After scouting around the HU market, i found a shop selling a 5750BT for $550 cheapest cash and carry option. So i intend to buy that and get the installer to install for me when my car reach spore shores. My question is Will my 1650DVD be sellable at $300 ? Or what should the proposed price be for it to be cheaper than shops but not so cheap to spoilt market rate

Do take note that installer might not want to install for you if it is not bought from them. Do check beforehand..

    Bro,

In your enthusiasm of negotiating for a cool deal, please take care on how to protect your deposit.

In any con case, what ever contract you have them write onyour sales agreement is useless.

So, try to balance out, not paying ridiculously high pricefor security.

    Don't rush.

I am keen to install the panel but not sure whether it can be done in my yet to be registered vezel or not.

The HU will not affect the installation of the panel, i.e. physically it does not get in the way. What I meant is that the ports on the panel will not be useful unless it is connected some of kind device like a HU. Basically, it acts like an intermediary because there is no easy way to access the ports behind the HU. My HU is Pioneer 2650BT. It does not come with HDMI port and only has 1 USB port. Next time, if I upgrade to Pioneer 8650BT, I may consider installing the panel. Right now, I just work live with 1 USB cable lying beneath my central console near the 12V plug.

Bro, so your opinion means I should use the start/stop engine or ? I still haven't get my car yet, so I just reading up on all of this theories u all put on this forum for reference.

Or should I just use the start/stop engine since it's already there for us to use?

IMHO, use it. It has nothing to do with engine but more on the Starter Motor & Battery, which is resolved by introducing of Capacitors at the back of the boot. Anyway, you do have a choice to step harder on the brake to trigger it when necessary. Ultimately, must belive the basic theory that Honda also won't wish to tarnish their reputation over an "innovation" that has been around for quite a while. As some of the Bro mentioned in this forum, u already pay for it, use it. =P

Anyone tried twisting the steering wheel slightly when come to a complete stop with start/stop activated?
It actually kicks start the car as it you have let go the brake pedal to start the car to go.
    Try it.

That's normal behaviour. Power Steering pump is link with engine. So when you steer, the PS-pump need to work. So it will tell the engine to work. So engine will start..

Just curious what grade if fuel u guys are using? Recently did my 1k servicing milage keeps hovering ard 12.5km/l. Using spc 95. With eco mode on and doing 50/50 city highway.

If you are 50/50 journey, then i think your millage is correct.
I am 85-city/15-HW. And so far i had been monitoring (manual calculation method) on every tank :
    Tank-1 = 12.06-km/L (Eco On, Start/Stop On, rpm <3,000)
    Tank-2 = 12.00-km/L (Eco On, Start/Stop On, rpm <3,000)
Tank-3 = 12.28-km/L (Eco Off, Start/Stop On, rpm will) travel from West to East very high speed
Tank-4 = 11.55-km/L (Eco Off, Start/Stop On, rpm will, *Rear tyre pressure reduced from 230 to 220))
Tank-5 = 10.63-km/L (Eco Off, Start/Stop On, rpm will, *Rear tyre pressure reduced from 230 to 220)
    * this is a sure killer. I really can feel it. The up side is, the ride is less bumpy.
I tahan for 1-tank plus in order to prove myself. For me, I decided to opt for FC & be more turtle speed over hump & avoid pit holes as much as i can.. Topping up N2 shortly.. =)

Hi all. vezel only got 1 white right? Which is pearl white? Any white vezel owner need to do top u $$ to get pearl white?

    No need

By the way any bros warranty by Hitachi Capital? Any idea which WS they use?

how much did they coat? i found 5 layers 9H ceramic $500 kangtao which i haggled for that offer.

Already experienced. Coat is for acid/chemical, hairline scratches & easy maintenance.
Impact against stone or metal, totally vulnerable. If really want tahan impact, at the moment can only think of PPF.

Are these the standard packages I should ask for when I buy the car? Do PI really throw in window visors and front/back cameras, cos I had to buy them on my own for my Jazz. Should I make sure the electrical retractable side mirrors are included too, as I've read that someone's X model didn't have the steering audio control even though that's supposed to be standard for that model?

Where can I check which PI are direct importers?

About the servicing, I heard that if buy from PI then intend to go to AD arms, need to pay an "adoption fee" which end up maybe close to the cost of buying it from AD. Furthermore, the warranty most likely will be voided.

How much freebies can obtain actually depends quite a lot on your negotiation power & the generosity of the PI. As for the retractable side mirrors are original come with car. Only "S" model come with audio control steering. "X" model is add on item, again depend on your bargaining power.
