Any idea, if your COE secured or not secured, they rest of the peers that getting the same car as yours will be sharing the same result? Or different SE (from same AD) bid the COE for their customers at different price?

Ok maybe will change once it starts turning sticky. I still prefer those cover which shows the button on thw cover. At least can just press without removing from the pouch if I decided to unlock the car from a distance away. How much is the Braun Buffel anyway?

Only can choose between 2-3 designs that fits our key fob.. around $55-58 can't remember exact price.
Those rims are wicked aka BMW styled, can PM me where to get them?

Thanks. Actually it's the new rims for Audi A7 sportback and the new TT

I got it from Leong Seng Ubi. It's replica.. around $250 per rim I think and that was 9 months ago.
Got the COE last Wednesday. Paid the outstanding on Friday. Was told my car would be ready today. But I decided to collect this coming weekend.

Seems like TC is fast hand fast leg.

If they have existing stocks, they usually don't like to drag.

From booking to collection, mine took 10 days, existing stock, black colour.
2 questions :

Is it right to say all lights (regardless what setting) will be turned off once we off the engine ?

Anybody drive without the auto off and eco mode ?

Not all lights are turned off immediately upon turning off engine.. QQ have homecoming lights. Not sure if you can turn it off.

The LED DRL remains on for my 1.2T for a few seconds, depending on my settings. Then it turns off. Same for when I am walking to my car and unlock it from a distance.. the LED DRL comes on.

anyone interested in qash qai K&N air filter?
anyone interested in qash qai K&N air filter?
Still prefer the original air filter, even though the original filter is likely to have lesser air flow than aftermarket air filters, it will ensure the engine is cleaner in the long run.

I traded in my old car too. My car ready this week. I guess could be your colour. But then, it should be already ready stock, else your SE wouldn't be able to nail a date.
Just wan to ask if the trade in price for cars good for TC? My ride is 2009 Avante. Please advise. Thanks.

Hv grid lines to gauge the distance. What is the difference between gps j11 and j10? Am told reverse camera does not have lane marker showing up on display , true or not?
Just went for first servicing this morning together with the checking of my foggy head lamp. The engineer take a look and got his supervisor down to take a look. Then I show him some photos and he inform me that he will replace the headlamp. If no stock, may need to indent and wait 4-8 weeks. Anyway, took some photos of the pricing for servicing and accessories for reference. Sub woofer price went up!

looks ex for the servicing package
J11 is current model of qashqai. The GPS HU should come with the car when you buy it.What is the difference between gps j11 and j10? Am told reverse camera does not have lane marker showing up on display , true or not?
You can activate the lane marker when you are in reverse gear. Tap on the screen to switch the gridlines on, but I notice my gridline angles are slighlty out and I have disabled the gridlines. Cant adjust the angle of the reverse camera as it is a fixed angle camera.
Yea, thats why must get the NPMP from your SE when ordering.looks ex for the servicing package

if you mean same bid value... it depends on the dealer, some send bids in bulk for all customers at the same value...
also depends on really who is doing the bidding - some dealers its only the management that does the bidding work.

Of course it also depends whether someone is reaching near the end of their stipulated delivery date

So long as the first few cars lead the way, everyone along the line will be fine. Had an ex collegue who joined the road trip few years back. Was so excited that he was sped past the speed cam. Came back from trip few days later to see letter at doorstep.I will have to skip Malaysia road trip, not familiar with driving there at all. But by all means go, enjoy the drive, stops and scenery, as well as get to know and make friends with one another.
there are more than 200+ pages here talking about QQ 1.2 & 2.0 here ... happy reading

Spent almost 3 days to finish reading the whole 100 plus pages.... Seems like the 1.2L Turbo got this loss of power problem (seems like a major safety issue), cannot accelerate when the steering wheel is not straight (interesting problem). The 2.0L version is 12k more expensive than the 1.2L version, larger rims (19" compared to 17", maybe higher FC), higher road tax. Might not be able to buy the 2L version due to budget issue. Unless TC can get the 1.2L version of power loss fixed, if not I might need to find other better options. The troublesome thing is I feel I like the outer look of this car, will need to find some time to go down to the Leng Kee cars street to see the different options that I have.

I have also read about this power loss issue but so far never experience it on my ride.
The only issue is now the water vapour in my headlamp. After they replaced my headlamp housing and it is still happening today. Not sure also why my start stop function has stop activating as usually, my start stop function will activate many times during every driving trip and it did not activate at all after servicing.

My 2 pence on choosing a car: Avoid buyer's remorse. Read all you can (as you have done) with a discerning mind (there will always be pluses and minuses between choices), visit all the showrooms and sieve them out (as you planned), and finally choose the car that smiles at you most and has stolen your heart.

Apparently it is bec of some wiring issues done by local installer.... It is not inherent from the factory so nothing to worry about.
Btw, does the new car comes with reverse sensors? Thought of installing front sensors before collection.

The front sensors will have a separate switch installed near your right knee.. where all the small switches are, so you can turn it off when not in use.

I only turn it on when I am driving through tight spaces.

Also.. the sensors display is in the form of 5 LED. It will light up when you are near something. Up to 4 LED will show up, before the 5th one in which there will be sound. For the sound to come up, it has to be really near like 3-4 inches (if I recall correctly) from the sensors.

Just wondering if any bros going to add any basic kits to the existing body during the collection? Should I do it with TC and outside workshop? How much would it cost roughly? If there is kaki doing bulk order for any of the items below, I am also keen.
- Car alarm
- Front styling plate
- Rear styling plate
- Mudguard
- Boot mat
- Customized floor mat
- Throttle controller
Thanks in advance.

Hi, are there any Qashqai +2 owners here? Trying to gather feedback but I haven't seen any owners of the +2 here.

If you own a Qashqai +2, how do you like it?
Booked my Qashqai on 11 Nov, got COE on 18 Nov and got my car last week. Thought will feedback here.

I was thinking if I would regret buying the 1.2l Turbocharged Qashqai. I read some negative, mainly local, reviews that there is loss of power for the 1.2l turbocharged version. But this is very contrary to many positive reviews from the Ang Mo reviews from UK.
So I decided to buy the 1.2l Turbocharged version after test drove in Leng Kee.
No regrets. I would say the torque is adequate albeit not sometime you expect from WRX or Volvo turbo engines.
Overtaking on the road is good. Don't really need to be worried that it does not has the torque and speed. It does. Max torque comes at 1750rpm which is something you will need to hit before overtaking anyway.
The Auto Start Stop feature is something I am still getting used to. I probably will disable this feature. It is useful for saving some fuel while cutting off the engine at stop lines or traffic junctions. But how much fuel can you save.
I like the map navi that comes with the car. Very quick for signal to pick up.
Also the gadgets are plentiful to keep you interested in how to optimise these features.
Interior wise, I like the dash quality. Really premium feel. Especially the dashboard, it looks and feels fantastic. I would say most of the Crossovers from the same category lag behind the Qashqai. The front seats are comfortable and spacious. The seats behind are tight and legroom seems to be smaller than the stated 1646mm.
Exterior wise, I think it is quite subjective otherwise I thought it looks muscular especially the waves on bonnet feel especially good in black colour.

Start stop can save quite a lot of fuel e.g. one litre for every fuel top up if you drive in city traffic say 50% of time and stop at red lights reasonably often (and you press brake hard enough to activate the stop).

Only thing people worry is whether so often use will cause battery and starter to wear out faster.
I suspect won't as the start up in start-stop don't seem to be the normal cold start with starter cranking the engine - the sound is different and the speed of start up is much faster.
I read somewhere that the start in start-stop use minimal starter cranking - it is mainly the engine pistons stopped at a good position where with some fuel left in some of the pistons, the fuel can be exploded (by the spark plug) to move the pistons with enough energy to start the engine.

Hi all,

New to this forum and also just collected my Qashqai 1.2 two days ago. Some feedback on the car and questions to the experienced seniors around.

Day 1 feedback
Saw lots of stretch marks on the seats after the first day of usage. Called up my SE and promptly arranged for me to take the car back to a leather workshop in Ubi to have it fixed. Although inconvenient, I appreciate the prompt post-sales service so thumbs up to TC for that.

Day 2 feedback
Headlights
Drove the car out at 730am with the headlights still on auto. The headlights did not go off even when I was driving on the highway with the morning sun in my eyes. Turned it off and back to auto and it still came on. Turned it off manually for about 5 minutes and then back to auto and it was fine for the rest of the day. Have to monitor longer about it.

Start-Stop
The start-stop function is a lot more noisy than the Honda Vezel or Audi cars. I find that after lifting your feet off the brakes, you have to give it about 1 sec before you step on the accelerator or you'll get this loud cranking noise from the car. Am I the only one experiencing it?

Audio/Radio set
Far by the worst stock unit I have heard from a car. The sound is completely flat without any bass. Volume 1 is too soft to hear, Volume 2 becomes so loud I have to raise my voice to talk. Who the hell can put it anything about 5 or 6 with this bad sound? Anybody has lobang to get this changed please?

Seats
Much more comfortable than the Toyota Altis or Honda Civic I used to drive around. Although the handle to pull to adjust the inclination of the seats feels extremely cheap and often gets stuck when I am adjusting the seats.

Pickup
I am kinda old school and believe in running in a new car engine so I tried to keep the acceleration below 2000rpm as much as I can. This is when I do not understand why some of the folks are saying no power. What are you comparing this car with? Evo? Wrx? Golf GTI? The pick up is perfectly fine and on par with most 1.6cc cars in the market.

In-car camera
Got the Dabonda race in-car camera installed by TC and although it is sleek and looks aesthetically very pleasing, the lack of an in-built LCD means I am unable to set my settings directly on the camera without the manual and a lot of guessing. Quality of the video is quite lousy too. May look to change it to something else.

Ok sorry for the long post. Happy to share more if anyone is interested. :)
Thanks for sharing....
I think head unit and sound system don't put high expectation lah.... Unless u pay at the range of 200k. I also think the acceleration is good enuf for a small suv. So far for similar price range it is hard to beat esp from authorized AD.
Wifey was looking at Vezel and her first comment was body panels flex like tin can.... Lol. Pass straight away which we ended up either QQ, CX5, 2 series AT.... The rest is her decision.
Hi all,
New to this forum and also just collected my Qashqai 1.2 two days ago. Some feedback on the car and questions to the experienced seniors around.

Yea same for me. For the past few days, driving out of carpark at 7.30am seems to have the headlights on. But I just switch it off manually since it is bright enough for me.
Start-Stop
The start-stop function is a lot more noisy than the Honda Vezel or Audi cars. I find that after lifting your feet off the brakes, you have to give it about 1 sec before you step on the accelerator or you'll get this loud cranking noise from the car. Am I the only one experiencing it?
Could it be the brakes? Because when your car is in stop mode, i think the brake fluid has not pump through the brakes due to the engine is off and therefore, you can hear the sound of the brakes rubbing against the brake disc if you step on the gas immediately. I usually release my brake slighlty before the light turns green to start the engine.
Audio/Radio set

Yah, i notice when playing usb, 2 is loud and 3 is louder. Not sure how to adjust this. Radio is slightly better. Probably can try to adjust the loudness under the sound settings to see if it works.
Seats
Much more comfortable than the Toyota Altis or Honda Civic I used to drive around. Although the handle to pull to adjust the inclination of the seats feels extremely cheap and often gets stuck when I am adjusting the seats.

Yes, can easily move off at around 1750 - 2000 rpm and keep up with all the traffic. Engine is really quiet.

No problem at all. My budget only allows for second hand cars now. Am considering qashqai +2 and if getting sedan, Honda Civic.
Those depreciation is way higher than new ride.... Insane prices tbh.
Congrats to your new ride...me collecting next Tues...ur seat is black color? Not sure whether black is locally or factory installed... Thanks for the headsup, will inspect that too during handover.
1.2 T leather seats will be locally installed while 2.0 is factory fitted.
Curious, how do you know auto start stop saves 1 litre per top up?
I think this is proven base on field test by car makers.... But the savings of fuel offset with early failure of electronic components makes the whole process pointless.
The feature is to meet EUR 5 requirements.... Let's see how it affect wifey driving style.... I bet she will disable it.
Congrats on your new car and your very first post on this forum, and a long one at that. Welcome. Look forward to hearing more sharing from your rides ahead.Hi all,

I just realised what happened this morning. They adjusted my brakes tighter, that is why my usual pressure on the brakes did not activate the start stop option.
Are you driving the qashqai? What problems are you facing?
No budget for the 2.0.as for 1.2,it's just too unreliable
Good luck and good hunting. No problem at all. My budget only allows for second hand cars now. Am considering qashqai +2 and if getting sedan, Honda Civic.

Sorry to say but you need to justify why it is unreliable. I have driven the car but have not encounter any major issue to classify the car as unreliable. If not I will just take it that you are trying to gain post count with one liner replies.

Thanks for the post! I went to re-evaluate my choices thanks to you...am trying to find the lowest depreciation car for my budget now. I agree the second hand car market now is rather insane.
hmmm, just askd my agent about the front sensors, she tells me they dont come with it and did not mention anything about it being optional...
do the front sensors apply only to the 2l ones as standard or optional?

1. Leather seats - Don't bother, the stretch marks will return easily & quickly. The quality is sub par. My other cars 3yr+ don't even have a single stretch mark but QQ1.2T will have after a day of long drive. Also, different batches of QQ1.2T.. seems like the leather thickness differs.

2. Headlights - Have options to set Earliest/earlier/normal/later for how early/easily your headlights to come on. I have it on Earlier

3. Start-stop - No hesitation for mine. I switch immediately to accelerator and it moves off smoothly.

4. Volume - Vol.5 for normal urban small road drive. Vol.8 for highway, higher road noise at higher speeds. Vol.10 when it's raining cats & dogs.

5. Acceleration - Can't help it if some people are unrealistic. At this price level, don't want to sacrifice anything, want everything. The 1.2T is not fantastic, but serves well as a daily work horse ride for me that drives like a normal 1.6NA but with better FC and early torque for city driving.

Just some pointers for a new QQ1.2T driver
Hi guys.

Great to be here after reading so many posts about this car. I made my order at TC-LK for the 1.2L variant on 08/11/15 for magnetic red color. COE was successful at 1st bid and now patiently waiting for the Xmas present to arrive. Hopefully by end Dec.
Pray that all will go smooth.

Just wondering if any bros going to add any basic kits to the existing body during the collection? Should I do it with TC and outside workshop? How much would it cost roughly? If there is kaki doing bulk order for any of the items below, I am also keen.
- Car alarm
- Front styling plate
- Rear styling plate
- Mudguard
- Boot mat
- Customized floor mat
- Throttle controller
Thanks in advance.

Most of us here got our accessories online either Aliexpress or Ebay. You can just search for Nissan Qashqai 2014 and a lot will pop up.

2.0 seats direct from factory.

1.2T seats locally fitted, nothing to do with colour. Can choose stitching colour, in case anyone still didn't know about this. For e.g mine is black leather seats with red stitching for all seats + side door cushioned panel for elbow rest.
Good luck after the warranty period

Good pointers.
I also remembered stitching can choose color. But my SE and one other SE at bukit timah both told me not available...anyway small issue for me.
Choice of the stitching color with seat leather color is not available anymore.. Heard due to the various happening of Miscommunication between the SE and the leather factory side .... Resulting customers making noise when it does not tally with the customer request.Good pointers.

Curious, do you drive the Qashqai 1.2l? Care to explain why it is unreliable?

Coming from someone who owns and drive a 1.2l Qashqai, I do not find it unreliable. In fact, in my earlier sharing, I find most of the comments and 'reviews' about 1.2l having loss of power or underpower were mostly from local forums, especially here.

I do not experience loss of power. I do not experience 'underpower' while overtaking. I do not experience unreliability.

Care to share why do you say 1.2l is too unreliable? So that the owners, to-be owners and ppl thinking of buying one, can benefit from your insight. Thanks.

Nowadays car makers research, develop and launch new engines for most new car models.. you mean you avoid these instantly just because they are not "tried & proven"?

Like that you can only stick to bread & butter cars who use old tech, NA engine setup E.g the recent new Camry was still using an old 4 cyl 2.0L NA engine with 4AT

Seems like you have an agenda against Nissan or the new Qashqai.. Hope you get to buy the car you like & can afford.

Almera is good. Low tech but reliable engine n gearbox

I guess everyone must give & take, no right or wrong though.. I can accept new technology easily if carmakers launch new engines, gearbox or interior creature comforts / gizmos for more enjoyment.

But others want cheap, low running cost, simple to use, easy to repair, hard to break down. I just thought if everyone can give new tech a chance.. it will make driving cars at this segment more fun.

Another way is to use the tire plug repair kit (and air compressor if your car don't come with one) which can buy from Autobacs.
Self-repair tire nail puncture on the road-side (quite fast, just slightly longer than replacing tyre see - video below. Can be even faster if nail is so obvious that no need to search for it and no need to remove tire from car and just repair tyre while still attached to the car - save on the jacking time).
Then you no need worry about big bulge while still can do > 80 km / hr on the original wheel.
Only if tire damaged on the side where cannot do plug repair, then still got skinny spare tire to use. (Have never had such damage before. All my tire punctures were repaired using plug repair - pay money at workshop because at that time, did not know could buy kit to do myself). Note: the foam repair kit some cars have is not advisable to use as may not work, will limit speed to 80 and will cause a mess in the tire which some tire shops don't want to clean up (or will charge more for the clean-up, replace valve etc). Better to do the plug repair.

The tire plug repair kit from Autobacs (comes with tube lubricant so don't need the silicone spray mentioned in the video below but note that kit does not come with the plier so remember to also buy plier - also available from Autobacs).

Avoid for first one to two years. Modern technology is like PC OS, avoid version 1.0. (In fact, nowadays most new engines are heavily computerised so new car is actually also a new computer program besides being new hardware).
Let others find the bugs and the manufacturer to debug first.

Sidesteps if not design properly might not be reliable. Somemore got to drill body...
I find it unreliable cos the 1.2 digi is not a tried and proven engine

It is sort of tried and proven but also not at same time.

Some say engine is derived from Renault 1.2 TCE or D4FT https://en.wikipedia...ype_engine#D4FT which very likely since QQ 1.2T engine is confirmed made by Renault and they only have this 1.2T. (Nissan also has a 1.2T but that one is different as Nissan's is supercharged and 3 cylinder, whereas QQ is 4 cyliner turbo-charged which fits 1.2 TCE description).

Since Renault engine out since 2007, so sort of tried and proven.

However, some say engine has been modified for QQ - hence, the changes made may not have been fully tried and proven yet.
The side step looks very nice.
Amazing.
Think it's functional too.
Can help to get in and out of the car especially for older folks.

Good luck after the warranty period
Ok bro.
if worried about reliability then vezel may not b best choice as still about same time since launch as qq1.2t.
may be better more tried and tested e.g. mitsubishi asx and subaru xv which have been out longer .

Im not the one worried about reliability

True vezel is quite new but so far no engine reliability complaints iirc...other than it being abit noisy..but still yeah if want tried and tested then the other models you mentioned might be better :)

My FD civic is an 06 early model (1st year of production), no issue to date wrt the engine ...generally i agree with the bro who mentioned about rngines being tried and tested under severe conditions before being signed as fit for production, so it's less of a concern, especially if its a japanese car cos the japs are known for churning out very reliable vehicles. I'd be more concerned about gearbox, suspension issues as more often than not, these tend to wear out/ have issues before the main engine block.
Guys, just want to share this door sill plate which cost less than $100 with shipping and is from UK. Have sold more than 500 pieces. Anyone have bought from him and any reviews?

Yes, these do take place. While serious, they are a tweak here and there to correct them and usually involving ancillary equipment not the engine itself. And are correctable. They are never the doomsday , end of the world , worst case, total catastrophic systemic failure of the engine. And the best deal (eg kia) will give 10 years warranty but restricted to the engine only and not any other parts nor equipment. So on the latter (i.e. ancillary equipment including software) aspect , all dealers here are giving the same warranty validity period.u r right for cars 10 years ago and also that
no company wants to fail but the complexity of modern cars makes it difficult to achieve .
if u go to us govt recall web site, u will find almost all new car models have recall one time or another.
even the most reliable brands like toyota and honda.
nissan qq not sold in us so would probably never know its true issues if any.
as seen in vw fiasco, other countries not so strict as us in reporting such issues.
modern car complexity and frailty due to too many demands and trade offs required of them.
e.g. must be very fuel efficient, must be green, must have many features, must be bigger than previous generation, must be lighter, must b safer etc
also now every thing computerised (your steering wheel does not connect to the wheels, your brake pedals dont connect to the brake etc - all just give signal to computer and computer thru program decide what to do)? those who write programs know impossible to make them 100% bug free.
so best advice is let others debug the hardware and software for you when car model is new.
So then where is the reliability advantage of one make who offers a 10 years warranty vs others who provide 5 years for the engine, when engine is never the component which prematurely fails but instead the issues are more with the other ancillary equipment but which are of the same warranty period across all car makes.

Agree that generally, the engine block and piston itself usually don't fail.
However, one of the most common failures nowadays is in the auto transmission - again due to too many demands placed on it to be as light and small as possible and yet provide as many gears as possible (8 gears / 9 gears) and to allow shifting to be seamless as possible (e.g. DSG or CVT). They now become very delicate and complex.
Hence, all the reports about CVT and DSG failures (famous ones are Nissan and VW). Worse thing is some of these failures may happen after the 3 or 5 year warranty (and if you read the fine print of the car warranties, not sure if all of them will cover the full auto-transmission or only some of the parts in it for the warranty period).
The new transmissions are getting better but inherently, they will never be as reliable as manual or simpler 3 or 4 gear auto-transmissions with heavier/stronger parts and lesser moving parts.

With regard to catastrophy, depends whose perspective it is. For the car company, not catastrophic to fix a program bug but that bug may already have killed some people because the car suddently stopped in high speed traffic or suddenly verred off its lane (remember, it is the computer now controlling your acceleartor, brakes and steering - all your control actions are just suggestions to the computer - it will decide what it wants to do with it). See below article:
http://www.economist...d_software_bugs

The article is 2010 and by now, the computerisation of the car is even more than then (in the article, at that time only some car brakes were controlled by computer - nowadays it is probably all the models because it is cheaper to the manufacturer as the brakes already need to be built with computer control for ABS and Vechical Stability Control / Traction Control so it is a redundant extra cost component to have manual control components from brake pedal to the brakes. To save money, they just run a sensor wire from the brake pedal to the computer and the computer can then do all the control whether based on manual human input or other inputs that trigger off ABS, VSC etc.
In cars that now have electric hand-brake, you even lose the final human-controlled brake that was the hand brake.)

I have own 1.2 since July and during this have also driven up north NSH twice, I dont face any 'unreliability' . I always find QQ a pleasure to drive, power is adequate if you manage your expectation. At high speed, overtaking is not a problem, off the stop line, if you are willing to step on the accelerator, moving off briskly is not a problem. My driving style is more sedate, QQ provide a quiet drive and smooth cvt hence I always enjoy driving it.

Weird of you to make a sweeping statement like that especially if you dont own the car, someone reading your comment would think you own the car. Usually we can label something as unreliable only after we have the privilege to 'use' it, not just because it is new and unproven.

Weird? Just because I do not conform?

Yes bro, you hear it right.... Weird, because you do not confirm... Any more questions?

Bro, I don't think Weezersg used the word "weird" in any negative way...maybe more like "strange" of you to make statements such as "1.2 is just too unreliable".

I'll just state my personal view since I have owned and driven the 1.2T since end Jan 2015 and I have enjoyed every moment of it. It's a great car to drive....good FC, nice power when cruising (esp'ly along NSHW), comfortable cabin filled with wonderful features...so there's plenty to like about the QQ 1.2T.

But just like in life, nothing is perfect and even the nice QQ 1.2T also got some "issues" here and there la. I note the comments made by some bros here... and I respect their views andopinions... but in the end, that's what they are, i.e. views and opinions.

So let's just maintain some perspective when we pass comments about the car coz there are thousands of QQ 1.2Ts out there and only a handful of us here chatting about it.

This is just my view la...weird or otherwise
Guys, just want to share this door sill plate which cost less than $100 with shipping and is from UK. Have sold more than 500 pieces. Anyone have bought from him and any reviews?

The point was about the 1.2 engine reliability so in a way we are now digressing . If we consider the other parts, software, mechanisms and systems , this is a far far more complex and debatable area. Obviously here there are very valid reasons in favoring one brand over another, continental vs Japanese vs Korean argument, and those based on reputation eta, since reliability differences among brands do exist. While they are good historical background to make some inference, one should be careful not to make a sweeping judgment that A brand software system is always consistently more reliable than B brand software system nor one brand gearbox is better than another make's .Agree that generally, the engine block and piston itself usually don't fail.
In cars that now have electric hand-brake, you even lose the final human-controlled brake that was the hand brake.)

whyUK made a 1.2L cc car? Thought western country like big cc car instead.

If they put a 1.5 or 1.6L cc turbo for this car, it may be the best of both world.
Jialut.. SQ wanna bring in new planes with newly derived engines. Better not take SQ already then.
My experience with them last time was positive. Fast to respond if you have questions via email. Able to give discount if you tell them you are gonna order a few items together.
I got the chrome cover for 4 door handles and a few others, couldn't remember.
The set of door sills plate I currently have (bought from Aliexpress), looks exactly like the one in your link, they are all the same actually.
Thanks for the review! Still deciding..
dont buy from Ebay or ang mor site..
they basically buy from China at a fraction of the cost and sell it to you at insane prices.
Visit Taobao or aliexpress for the same stuff.
Ok, will look around first. Thanks!
Sidesteps must buy from UK sites. Dont need drilling and sealing. Just bolt in can already....
Well said....
Ohh thats nice. I heard from my friend driving vezel that his car need drilling, maybe he look at aftermarket side steps.
Hi all,

Back again with more of my whinning nonsense on my QQ 1.2 DIG-T.

Day3/4
Engine
On the morning of day 3, I did a cold start of the car and the engine shook quite violently while starting. Monitored for all the other cold start on day 3 and 4, but it did not happen again. Any experts to share their knowledge what happened?

Rims
Day 4 of driving and I find a lot of black particles on the rims. Much more on the front two than the back. Someone said it is from the disc brakes? Somehow I never had it on a Toyota or Honda... or the Nissan Sunny I drove more than 10 years ago...

HU/Speakers
Resolve the Vol 1 to Vol 2 huge jump in volume by setting the sound to focus more on the rear. Sound still sounds like crap compared to what I am used to. Someone here said he posted something about making it better without spending money, will have to look into that for sure.

Shift stick
It did not really occur to me that the labels on the shift stick are on the right, but the stick is on the left. Labels does not light up when headlights are turned on so when driving off from a dark car park, have to check the screen to make sure it is on Drive mode. No big deal but expected a little more from that.

Aircon
Seems like the UK made car inherit the weak aircon of most continental cars? Not that it is a problem since I drive only early in the morning and late at night. Might have to turn it up a few notches when driving on a hot afternoon. Disclaimer: I have never owned a continental car but I have sat in many and every single one of them have pretty weak aircon on level 1 compared to a Japanese car. If I am wrong, apologies in advance.

FC
Decent. 1/4 usage on the fuel guage after driving for about 230km. Could be too early to tell though since I hardly accelerate beyond 2000rpm.

Door locks
No auto door locks upon driving off. Locks on the driver and passenger side will "lock" all the doors. When the doors are "locked", it cannot be opened from the outside, but you can still open from it inside without unlocking - unless you set the child lock catch. This, I really do not get. How is a door locked when I can still open it without unlocking? Bah QQ.

Conclusion
A really nice decent car. It's far from perfect but it suits most of my needs. From all the conversations going on, it's too early for me to say if the new engine is reliable or it's better than the Vezel. Planning to do the Ceramic Pro treatment soon. If anyone is interested on the reivew of that treatment, will post some feedback after that.
