The car will stikk shut itself off after a while. Try it.

Doing that activates all the cars system short of cranking the engine. This will sap battery faster.

In instance where i want to wait for a passenger and wants to listen to the radio, i run a risk of the battery running flat?

It is normal, front brake are 70% braking force, clean your rims, before the brake dusts "Baked in" the paint surface.

Agrees that the general guide is 70% of the braking force comes from the front wheels. I wash my car once every 2 or 3 weeks, but I don't really notice a lot of brake dust at the front wheels. Another point is, I don't drive my car hard and try to be as smooth as possible. Maybe our driving style ?

Btw, anyone knows the height of the floor to the boot? Ferrying dogs around and may need to get a step stool for them rather than them jumping into the boot space. Thanks.

Tested the start stop system few times today. However, have encountered twice that the car would not move immediately despite pressing the accelerator pedal. It take more than 10 sec before it moves.
    Any one encounter such issue?

Understand from the manual, ithe start stop system will auto on everytime we start the engine..meaning need to off it after starting of engine.

Finally collected my QQ from Leng Kee yesterday and glad to join fellow QQ owners on the road

    color is bronze, 1.2T

solar film, auto-fold and front sensor included into the car, if you look carefully at the picture, the front sensor is below the DRL, at the corner of the front bumper

still getting used to the car but quite fun to drive for sure

    IMG_4028.JPG

I havesome questions for enlightenment, why does the QQ have 2 fog lamp icons? 1 is green and 1 in yellow??

    IMG_4025.JPG

also, what does the this tyre function do?

    IMG_4026.JPG

    many thanks for your advice

are you saying they will light up once you turn on rear fog lamp?

    Hi,

I believe someone else in the thread experienced the same issue of the car unable to move immediately after starting. I think its more of allowing the system boot up before able to move off. Don't think its because of the Start/Stop feature.

I am writing this review for long distance driving for 1.2 QQ. Travelled from singapore to kuantan Pahang.

the trip took me about 5 and the half hours, i would say if youdriving it easy there is adequate power for the whole journey.

overtaking would require some planning before overtaking but as much as i was concern my rpm did not exceed 3k.

comfort wise, i would say that the qq is very comfortable as both me and my partner agree that after such a long journey the vehicle still feels comfortable.

as for fuel comsumption i would say the qq is extremly good. i used about 48rm of fuel from jb to kuantan, travelling speed was about 110km/h -120km/h, didn't dare to drive too fast since i was driving in the night on a two way road.

As for the original low beams, i don't think is bright enough.

    what i like

    - comfort of the vehicle

    - fuel efficient

    - suspension absorb bumps well

    - vehicle takes corners well

    - gps was accurate

    what i dislike

    - lack ofovertaking power (but can be overcome with proper planning)

    - low beams are not bright enough

    conclusion

The qq would be a nice relaxing drive, since the qq is design is a family car, no point driving hard on the vehicle. the vehicle is morethan willing to hit higher speeds buthave to floor the accelerator.i would advise against uphill overtaking. As for bends and corners the qq is able to handle them quite well, i was taking most bends at 110km/h and up. super amaze on fuel consumption.

overall a good and comfortable car for long distance driving.

This review is based solely on my own opinion, sorry to those who have different views on the qq

Think that's me. Think you need to let the car computer boot up properly first, else you will experience this braking issue whenever you brake the car to a stop. I also notice that when this happens, it will go away once the car has been thru one cycle of the start-stop function. On top of just letting the car boot up properly, I do experience this auto braking randomly sometimes, but cannot find any particular pattern to repeat it. Just find this thing very irritating when it happens.

Im observing some issues with the car. Its intermittent. Only encountered it twice. After starting the car and engaging the drive gear. once you step on the acc pedal, it will start to vibrate "thud thud thud thud thud". It will bit happen again unless you stop the vehicle. The same symptom happens even when you change to reverse gear. Only way to stop it is to off and on engine.

    Any advise?

I saw in the UK forum of people encountering this Auto Handbrake when the car brakes to a stop. It will also go away when your car experience the first Start-Stop function. Another forum user here got the same problem and feedback to TC, who says they found nothing wrong with the car. I have just messaged my SE, see later what she says. Anyway, to all who have experience this, we should all complain/ feedback to our SE and during servicing. So that TC will not think this is a one off issue and they will then start to seriously look into it.

    I agree on this.
Regarding the front styling plate, which workshop to go toninstall it? Understand there is a need to drill holes? Also im interested in some of the accessories I.e scuff plates, rear boot plates and side moulding.
    Which vendor would be reccomended?

i wouldn't say power is that critical as overtaking can be planned, depending on experience of the driver driving on the route

i would say comfort is the most important as you would like your passengers as well as yourself to be as comfortable as possible on long distance trips

No worries, in fact if they already committed the date they should deliver as per their commitment.
No need to worry they do rush job. Anything not satisfactory they have to make up for you.
You jus need to make it know to them.

My previous experience with other AD is they will commit as long as they did not fulfill what is stated in the sales contract.

Was trying to say in the organization, SE job is technically done after handing over.
She canask or make request to the other dept.
But once handed over, the service dept calls the shot.
So if service dept decides to bo hiu her, its gonna bllst situation.
Good that you have a on the ball SE :)

Mind sharing what your booking price?

Does that happen if you disable the start/stop feature? If it stops, then at least you can narrow down the problem..

For now, I will leave the start stop feature on to see if the issue will come back.
So far, no issue without the start stop kicking in. The twice in the same journey happen with take start stop feature kicking in :(

Install my 1st two set accessories from Aliexpress, must say, I am very impressed with their speed using China registered mail, reach SG in less than 10 days, even for bulky item

quality of the chrome material also quite good

Rear Fog Lamp reflectors: - fit nicely and 3M tape sticks well

    Trunk protector

the fit is also good, but would like to ask if anyone has install similar trunk protector, do you have any problems opening your boot thereafter?

    hi gohhappy

I need the trunk protector cos in my previous car, I always scratch that portion of the trunk when removing stroller, golf bag etc

its not really a problem opening, just that I feel have to use a bit more strength to lift the booth, I am not sure if its because the chrome is new or the fact that there is now another additional layer interacting with the boot catch

that why I am asking if anyone has similar experience?

hopefully after a month of opening and closing, it will smooth out

my these few days experience is whenever drive in the rain and stop/parking, next moment when I drive the car (maybe after 1-2 hours), the front suspension will got sound when cross the bumper. but the sound will go off after awhile, so I think maybe is the water trapped somewhere that cause tat sound?

Never experience unusual sound when I brake. Sound when you put the car in motion from standstill. Was this because your car applied the Auto Hand Brake when it stop ? If yes, your car will not move when you release the foot brakes, then after 2 seconds, you will start to hear a cracking sound for another 1 or 2 seconds before the brakes release.

Yes u can order from parts dept. Its in tpy but u need to go lokyang collect the parts after paying for it. Then go to any TC workshop to install.
Alternatively u can ask an SA to do a parts order but u need to pay first. Takes 3mths by sea. But the pricing is premium + gst
    Heheh
My first kicking plate order from TC parts dept was about 300 plus. It was made of rubber...
2nd kick plate with led was nearly 600.
But during then, online shopping wasn't as easy as now.

The 3k items in total should cost about 1.2-1.3k if u get online without installation.
