Activated CTBA twice these two days when drove too fast and close to gantry. I just continue my driving and the CTBA light will just go off.Would like to double check v bros, am I right to do so? TQ!

As long as, you take your foot off the accelerator it should be fine. I experienced it while trying to filter into another lane after I realised that my current lane was turning right. The alarm startled me quite a bit, especially when I was trying to concentrate on merging into on-coming traffic on the next lane.

Well, this is a perfect case where a smart system tries to be too smart, and end up making things worse off. LOL
Finally VezelX was registered this morning, and managed to pick up this afternoon. The drive is good, suspension is great, now learning all the cool stuffs in the vehicle. Very impressed with the technology come with the car.
Thanks to all Bro & Sis who have been contributing and sharing the dos and don'ts.

if you appreciate a nice looking car paint surface, try to remove the bird droppings as soon as you can, you would be impressed by its acidity. the profile of the bird dropping etches onto the paint really quickly.

no amount of polishing there after can have that profile removed :)
Do you regret buying the car 1-2 months too early? What happen if yoh realised vezel will be selling $10k cheaper next month onwards?

these types of things happens bro. once i purchase mynissan years back, before taking delivery of my car (within 1 month), COE drop 5K and the car price also drop 5K.

Actually i feel very happy alri that i have gotten the car. if i were to book the car later, i would have read about volks auto pricing and would jump into it and lose much more.

If we have a car to sell or trade in,as coe drops..trade in price will drop too. Abt the same. main problem if take high loan. For brand new buyers, can take advantage of e drop if any. Seems not easy for COE to plunge..old car scrapped to recycle, these owners who scrapped their car also needa buy car. I believe no. of bidders in the last few bidding rounds outstrip even the increased quota. Really a 50/50 situation
Currently my ride is old MAzda 3 SP 2007. Any possibility to trade in my old mazda n fork out mjnimal cash? Any advise?

although poo looks most obvious on dark colored cars, probably that's y u felt that way. so white / yellow / green one should be least visible?

First of all, no one actually knows what will happen in the future. If there is someone who can see into the future, he won't be driving a vezel, he would be zipping around in a Audi R8.

If you have a car to trade-in. The longer you wait, the higher the chance to loose out as your old ride may not be attractive enough to re-sell. Being eligible for 2nd hand car market would command a bit of premium over cars to be scrapped.
Saw this video on the stuff you can do on the car remote, like close/open the windows, folding the side mirrors, not sure this applies to the Vezel models available in SG. Maybe the owners can check it out and feedback...;)

If you would like to go for a flushed, be it 17" or 18", you need play with the rim offset i.e. ET38mm or ET40mm,etc....

Thanks for the help. I know we can play with the offset of the rim. But normally Taiwan rims comes with standard offsets, unless we want to use Jap rims which normally comes in a lot of different offsets in the same size rims.

That is why I hope to find out if a 17" Taiwan rim will sit flush with Vezel's body with standard offset or do we actually need spacers to do so, which I do not want.

Anyone using 18"? How much is the FC affected?

Usually, there is no loud sound. Just loss of power and irritating beep beep beep.
The loud sound comes if you happened to be accelerating.

Either case, just ease off on the gas for 1-2 seconds and you are good to go.
I experienced four times of CTBA activation. Two times with beep beep sound , last two times was really like crashing my baby on somethings

Hi bro, 18" not only affect FC but also more bumpy and noisy ride. I change to 17" RM rims from Taiwan. Many selection. Check out Cheng An Da if u wish, many selection.
Question: will I see any japanese words on the dashboard for a honda vezel car? Any significance from it?
I am quite sure no jap words for X. This is also because the audio unit is local fixed. But I think there is for hybrid.

Thanks bro. I am actually quite used to noisy and bumpy ride as I was running 18" on my previous lowered car. Overall look definitely nicer. But not sure now as coming new car will not be lowered.
Can it be turned off everytime you board the car?
Yes. CTBA, idling start/stop, VSA is set to default ON. So every time you board the car, you can switch these off. I do switch off CTBA and idling start/stop depending on situation but never switch off VSA.
Auto brake hold is default OFF. You need to switch this on if you wish to use this function.
Econ mode is permanently ON or OFF depending your selection.
I heard iroad is not bad. I use blackvue front and back. Paint protection, I use ceramic pro. It is quite expensive but I feel that the coating is tough & easy wash car. I have installed mud guard and now waiting for the window visor.

I am afraid of getting a $15k CEVS rebate while paying the same price as other owners here.
Bro Seankwa was one of the earliest Vezel owner. Hi Vezel was accorded CEV band A2 ($15K)

see his post
http://www.mycarforu...-5#entry5246424

then later, LTA accord them band A3 ($15K) until now.

I am very sure the PI would know depending on if they re-do the whole test processes again.
Although the cost of re-testing is high, if there is a batch volume, they can be spread out to lower individual cost.

At the moment, it is cost saving to buy the (old) report.

Vezel X data:fuel consumption and mileage: 4.9 l/100km / 58.2 mpg (imp.) / 48.4 mpg (U.S.) / 20.6 km/l emission: 112.7 gCO2/km average estimated by a-c: 7 l/100km / 40.3 mpg (imp.) / 33.5 mpg (U.S.) / 14.3 km/l

http://www.automobil...l_2wd/2014.html

But Singapore VETL test shows Vezel X to be in the region of 123 gCO2/km or so but definitely below 130, hence band A3.

anything you multiply by 0.92 will yield lower value.

123 x 0.92 =113.1 gCO2/km

then later, LTA accord them band A3 ($10K) until now.
But from 11 jan 2015, lta allow the 0.92 coefficient factor for all PI cars isn't it? So now is A2 or A3?
bro cool88 most recent register is still A3.

like I said earlier,if one or twounits they may purchase test report.

Unless if they have a batch of say 5, to go through complete re-test, then there is a high chance for these to be A2.

Bro... Thanks!! I oso thinking of drop-in air filter... But looking for those dun need oil kind
bro cool88 most recent register is still A3.

like I said earlier,if one or twounits they may purchase test report.

Unless if they have a batch of say 5, to go through complete re-test, then there is a high chance for these to be A2.
I read that quite a number of bro/sis are collecting their ride just before or after CNY. Maybe they can provide insight on the band and perhaps the certification/test date if there is an accompanying certification.
I will also like to enquire especially to those who collected their rides: what is the mileage clocked at the point of handling over of your new car? What is deemed an acceptable mileage for car purchase from PI especially with the latest inspection requirements?
Bro... How many quart should i buy?
I just completed my svc 1/2-hr ago..
I brought along 4-bottles of 946ml (cos I can't find 4L one). They used 3.5-bottles. I get to keep the balance.
I using Mobil-1 : 0-W30.
Hope this info is of use.
Yeap. Shell Ultra Helix. Next servicing at 6k.
Tried 200/210,it is too dragging for me. 230/220 is better and comfortable. Trying out 250 to see if can hv better FC
Mine used to be 230 for both front & rear. Personally I felt that the rear is pretty bumpy, especially noticable when going over humps..
Just now ask the technician to release the rear pressure to 220. Still experimenting it. However, the ride back from the workshop was still not too bad.
Dear all, for Vezel S model at D drive, when move off can try click the paddle shift "+" once, you can feel that it can move off faster.

Did they only charge you labour And oil filter? Will it potentially affect warranty by workshop? In this case should be ard 40bucks labor plus 6 bucks oil filter plus gst..total just under $550
Collected my freebie hard tonneau cover from my PI. They are selling Vezel X model with very good deal. Waiting time 3 mths. When i saw the price, my heartache coz my baby is lot more exp. But I enjoy fast delivery service. You gain some and will lost some at the same time
Pm me if need details.
Hi sis, jsut curious.. Does your hard tonneau cover comes with a string to attached the the boot door so that when the boot door opens, the tonneau cover opens too?

maybe i came from driving a Rush, which is very bumpy, but even at 250 i think it's a very smooth ride.. thinking of going up to 260 next..

my fuel consumption is quite consistent at 15km/l, 50/50 city and expressway, on eco mode.. i just tested the modes and realised that on pickup, and on eco mode, it hardly moves higher than 2k/rpm.. without the eco mode, it roars like a beauty, reaching 100km/h really fast!
That's rite.
Actually, I felt the noise (or bumpiness) is always relative one. Depends on one's past exposure. Like you said, you rode a Rush & felt its more bumpy than vezel. And Vezel's roar is a beauty to your ears.. Its all one's relative past experience compare to a present. No rite or wrong.. Ownself happy & acceptance is good enough..

Hi bro, I did test drive the QQ 2L before TM introduce the 1.2T way back in Aug 2014.

The QQ interior is more upscale and quiet from vezel, engine smooth and quiet with good sound insolation. The LED tailgate light is very chio. In vezel, the technology features are superior and of course better FC. Interior simple but like the coupe feel. Rear seat space is almost the same but didn't like the QQ seat being too "straight" up.

In term of power to weight ratio, vezel would be the best of its class; 128bhp/1.2 ton (vezel)vs 138bhp/1.9 ton (2L) and 115bhp vc 1.8 ton (1.2T). In Singapore roads, the QQ 1.2T would be okay but will stress the engine in Malaysia roads (however, you might not notice it, as the engine is quiet).

Just called my PI and he told me:
1. After car arrives in SG, need to go Vicom and it takes 2 weeks to get a Vicom date.
2. After Vicom, then can apply for VITAS. When applying for VITAS, LTA does not tell PI the date of the VITAS immediately.
Wonder if the bros/siss here have similar experience? Appreciate if you can share and enlighten.
Booked my car on 9 Nov 14 and seems like I can only get delivery in early Mar 15 and that is not for sure as well.
TIA.
I booked mine around same time as you and I got my ride 1-night b4 Santa arrives..
Hi guys..where did you get the 1.9tons unladen weight for Qashqai? I went to check a few websites. Just under 1.4tons only..my ex-Accord wasn't even that heavy. Only 1.5tons. Any car nearing 2tons would be somwthing like a Bentley already i guess

Hi Guys,

I will be doing my 1k servicing tmr. WS quoted $168 using Mobil 1 5W30.

Just wondering what is the amount you guys are paying for the servicing?

Thanks

Shud front or rear tyres be of higher pressure?
Supposingly, higher pressure is to take heavier load...
Front side have engine & etc.. Rear side have--- depends on what you carrying (most of the times)...
Too low pressure, tyres will have more material contact with the road thus need more power to overcome the friction / resistance.
Too high pressure will be stiffer (since its to take heavier load) thus will be more bumpy. Having say so, when you carry heavier load, the weight is strong enough to press the extra pressure thus its like cushioning the bump..
Hope this simple explaination can help..

I think i know why the confusion..it is the difference of curb weight and gross weight read in the specs...curb weight is weight of car. Gross vehicle weight is the heaviest car load allowed for the car to be driven safely....

Do you regret buying the car 1-2 months too early? What happen if yoh realised vezel will be selling $10k cheaper next month onwards?
IMHO.. Frankly there is no rightful comparison one.. Up or down surely have some happy & some upset..
The main key is consider & judge the tiiming by own decision (or prediction). Once decided & materialised, move on & don't look back. Then be a happy Rider. Else there's no end to it one. There's always better ones out there.
Don worry.. be happy..

In both LEEST & krytorn case, looking at it from a positive POV, isn't it a good help that the CTBA kicks-in. Else it may have cause more damage to our ride, our pocket & our heart ? Although in most cases, it was unintentional or overlook..
Thanks bro. I am actually quite used to noisy and bumpy ride as I was running 18" on my previous lowered car. Overall look definitely nicer. But not sure now as coming new car will not be lowered.
You may take a look at Stamford Tyres.. Using N2 gas & FOC top up. Nice if you work nearby to them.. Few outlets available.. check out in the website.

Since I brought my own EO, they just charged me for OF & Labour. Warrenty I din asked. I think should not be affected cos I did discussed with them before proceeding to buy the EO by myself. Even the type to buy is also concluded after I discussed with their Jpn Engr expat. And I spoke to their TOP person as well, not any technician..
Total damage is $72.50, excl GST. I felt that the charges are reasonable. EO is depend on each rider liking & resources to purchase. So its fair to all parties.
The ws really is Jpn run & is very neat & tidy & clean. With huge glass wall for you to witness how your beauty is being "stripped & caress", openly & transparent.

ceramic anot, just enjoy ur new ride la. b glad u still can afford one during this time of expensive coe.
Depending on how we drive, the various road & traffic conditions (city or highway), plus factors like whether driving alone or carrying passengers/loads, and recently, the discussions on brand and viscosity of engine oil used, size and inflation level of tyres and whether using Eco drive/start-stop function or not, most of us appear to be hitting around 14-15 l/km on average.
For me, that is considered very good already as I tend of have a heavy right foot. My daily mileage is not much such that my full tank can last me up to 12 days (I live near my workplace & kid's schools). At Shell, they have a Ferrari sticker collection contest..... so far, I've only managed to collect three and don't think I will ever get to complete the card at all! Then again, I also don't get to enjoy the drop in petrol prices as I take 2 weeks to fill up each time! But this is only my case, so I don't mean to compare with other Vezel owners.
Here's to better FC for all of us Vezel owners!

Same here too, the booklet that i received from PI/workshop is 1k & 10k only, no more 5k, same explanation ie better engine, better oil. Any bro/sis skip 5k here ?
bro/sis, it is understandable to why there has been discussion on what has been the appropriate engine oil change interval, 1K, 5K or 10K.

think it is unanimous that 1K is necessary, it is more precautionary then anything to ensure early "foreign" parts are flushed off the engine...where or not we should go for Mineral or Fully Synthetic or Semi Synthetic is no right or wrong. It would be about how deep your pocket and when would you like your next engine oil change interval is.

Thus, you may even go with fully synthetic engine oil and do a next change at 5K mileage, there would be no harm done to the engine.

My own practice has been always every 5K to 6K mileage for an oil change even on fully synthetic engine oil. Why? I enjoy the feeling of having fresh clean engine oil and its smoothness. It does cost you that little bit more but the trade offs are extended engine block life with minimal wear to piston rings and etc.

Is it Right or is it Wrong? it all depends on one's preference.

Do also remember to change the ATF on a regular basis (this is something commonly overlooked) and later on the Coolant.
