    Should be still SKT

    Should be same...standard.

    Still SKT or SKU already?

When armed, the security alarm in 1.2 will sound the siren (not the horn) and blink hazard warning lamp continuously for about 27 seconds, if the alarm system detects that:

    1) the door or hood is opened (not by intelligent key or door request switch), or

    2) the intruder sensor detects an illegal attempt to enter into the passenger room, or

    3) the battery connection is disconnected, or

    4) the power supply to siren control unit is blocked.

I noticed there's also no auto lock for the 1.2T. The car doesn't auto lock when:

    1. Engine is turned on AFTER all doors are closed
    2. After moving off for a few seconds

The only method to lock the doors is to press the central lock button after everyone gets in.

Can this be changed in the settings or have to live with it?

No, the feature is removed to comply with europe regulation. Even if you lock it manually, it does not prevent the passengers from opening the doors inside. It only prevents outside opening..

Preferably... Both! Wondering if TC can change the locks to unlocking by pulling door lever once then pull again to open door (like conti cars).

But I was initially referring to auto lock when turning on engine or driving off. Now if I don't press the central lock button, the doors will remain unlocked all the way.

Not possible to mod like conti. Have to live with it.
If u notice, x-trail can central lock cos the market is for Japan :)
Japan and Europe have different safety standards.
Its possible to replace w/ x-trail lock but TC will not compromise as it concern safety.
You can replace it outside but at your own risk.

    Bros,

I bought a sharksfin antenna from ebay, got a small PCB inside for the antenna to connect, but the reception not as good as the stock antenna.

Shaded areas either no reception or combined with lots of static, especially Class 95. The stock antenna is bad too have static, but in comparison the sharksfin is not so good. Some stations work especially out in the open, but the gain seems to be limited voice quality muffled.

Lucky did a few dry runs, taped the antenna on the car and went round town, KPE etc. In the end connected the stock antenna back. Now trying to figure out some next steps.

I'm using this antenna from aliexpress. Listen to kiss92 most of the time, and in SG only, not bad, tried other stations also at times, sounds normal. Only underground/enclosed carpak will have static.

Screws are meant for different car makers, QQ can fit one of the screws, but I can't remember which one. Btw, picture never shown, but when I received it, there's the word 'TRD' imprinted on it. [shakehead]Not sure if the seller picked the wrong one or all his stock are like that. The start-stop function is not bad in terms of saving the environment n petrol but did anyone noticed that when it's on, the aircon will not be cold. Like how when the aircon is on while the engine is turned off. Find this quite annoying at times... especially if stopping for longer periods.

Guess the only way is to turn off the start-stop function.

Think the engine will only turn off when a few conditions are met, one of which is the temperature. Once the engine is turned off, the air con compressor stops working and the fan goes to the lowest speed. Think the reason why you feel it is not cold is due to the low fan speed. Once the temperture raises to a certain point, the engine will start again and thus the compressor. One thing bad about this function is that we cannot turn it off by default.

I'm referring to the idling auto start-stop which is a feature to help reduce FC.The fan speed and temperature remains the same when the engine turns off during the trigger of the idling auto start-stop function. Only thing is that the air from the aircon becomes not cold most likely due to compressor switch off because engine is off. Once you let go of the brake, theidling auto start-stop function will turn off and engine turns on. Then the air becomes cold again.

    Auto-Stop/Start System:

    Stop:

    1) stop/start is in ready condition-like battery can support restart, engine coolant temp suitable...

    2) vehicle speed - 0

    3) steering wheel - not steer

    4) brake pressure - sufficient brake force applied

    5) engine speed - around idle speed (750rmp)

    Restart:

    1) switch off stop/start

    2) insufficient brake force applied

    3) aircon cannot keep the performance

    4) battery condition deteriorated

    Cannot restart if you:

    1) open the hood

    2) release driver seat belt

    3) open driver side door

    Tua

People are using Nitrogen gas to pump the tire because nitrogen "leak" slower then normal air and therefore, you do not need to pump the tire regularly.

Why the puncture did not result in a total lost of air because, normal tubeless tire have this build in feature that when there is puncture occurs, the rubber around the "hole" will comes in to stop the leakage. This is possible if the punctured hole is not very big.

anyone know for the clock on our speedometer display, can this be changed to 24hr time format?

currently it showing as 12hr time

I tried many ways to change but cannot

for our radio HU, that one can change to 24hr time and it seems the speedometer clock takes the time from our radio HU but the format is in 12hr

By pumping nitrogen gas into the tyremight helps to slow down the puncture,

    No, it will not.

Pink color wire behind. The system can disable this function but password protect. Tried 1234/0000, doesn't work, so cut away the pink wire behind the HU to enable.

Front power outlet is constantly on even you off engine and locked.

Your middle glove console, is not "live", so if you off engine and locked your car, it will be turn off.

*Installed my TPMS, hence tried out on this. [:)]

Instead of cutting the Pink color wire, dose anyone have the password to this HU ? With the password we can just go in menus setting to disable it.

From my own experience, my tyre got puncture in Bukit Panjang and drove all the way back to the west still ok. Only notice the puncture the next morning.

That means, either the hole is not big enough, or the soft rubber manage to seal the puncture good enough to slow the tire deflation. Not because of nitrogen.

If I'm not wrong, partly also because of Nitrogen molecules is larger than the normal air, as such it leaks slower from the hole. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

    Correction after checking online:

Nitrogen molecules larger as such less leak under "normal circumstance" means the frequency of tyre air filling is less compared to normal compressed air.

    78% in normal air..

To get the desired benefits for tires, nitrogen needs to be at least 93% pure.

Yes, this is precisely what I meant. In a tire puncture, although nitrogen molecules are larger, it is still a super big hole to the nitrogen.

So let's say I pump first time normal compressed air (78% nitrogen) and according to molecule theory, since oxygen is smaller, it will escape through the tires leaving behind nitrogen. Go back and pump again and more nitrogen added to the percentage... continue for a few more times and pretty soon.. we should reach the 93% requirement... makes sense? hahaha

    Hi

Did my paint protection (Arctic white) at Revol. Approx $1600 for 4 session over 36 months, so can go every year before CNY.

Did it a week after collecting car in end Jan. paint work still in very good condition. Go ask for Marcus..nice guy and good service. He will explain the diff packages u can choose from. I chose the ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection. I find them good, in terms of quality of work and also level of service.

In theory, your are correct if you keep doing this many times over a long period of time. In practical, there are other considerations. Nitrogen will still escape, only at a slower pace compared to oxygen. Normal air also has water. Racing cars use the nitrogen that comes in tanks without the water. Too many things to think and consider.

If the nitrogen is offered free, just pump it. If not, just use the normal air pumps at the petrol station, like the 99.9% of us do. You should not notice any difference. If you do (when using the normal air), it simply means your tire is leaking air.

The cig plug in the arm rest/console box should not be live when engine off and door lock. You need to lock your door and try. The power should switch off after locking door. The one in front is live.
