This evening saw a truck towing a brand new black color vezel to inspection. Saw that the car was tow on its rear wheel rather than driven or piggy back, really pity the owner of the car as the rear suspension sure get damaged, as it was driven above 70km per hr on PIE.

I have a question, when testing the bhp the car will be running on dyno at its highest rpm for the max bhp, but I thot we supposed to run in engine for 1k km generally for cars?

Isn't it that if the puncture is patch-able, the leak should be slow enough if you leave the nail there and you should be able to pump up and drive to the nearest tyre shop?

I did that many times before and sometimes even from completely flat.

Provided your car is light and there is no passengers.

    Hi all Vezel owners

Did anyone of you went up north to run your cars between 120-140km?

At what speed do you feel the vibration and how is comfortable is the ride at different speed?

I test drive it 2-weeks ago when it had not installed any DVD Player yet.. I felt it was noisy.. But the SE told me its due to the BIG HOLE (DVD) exposed. Once its fix in, it is not that noisy one..

indulge, to start with - must get tonnue cover. that will cut off some noise.

    quote from Response JP

"However, on the whole, the ride never feels especially clean or refreshing, and is a bit noisy. This is because the Eco Special tires' road noise and the exhaust sounds creep in through the rear cabin, due to the lack of the tonneau cover and luggage room hardboard that the hybrid model's premium interior are equipped with."

It is more than that. Your engine bay, wheel arch, all doors, roof, the whole of your boot areas and how many layers of the sound proof material. How far you want to go? If just doing 1 or 2 items it would not help much

I meant no offense as well. I quoted Q5 because the price of 2nd hand Q5 abt the same as vezel and the handling and spec also much better than vezel. This car recommended to u definitely a better car to use on NSHW.

I start to doubt you have anything constructive to say or do you even own a Vezel?

If you have nothing intelligent to offer like in your previous postings for 77 pages, I suggest you don't make a fool out of this forum and display infantile behaviour.

Some bros offered their views on their Vezels and no matter how different their views may be, I respect that, and take in account as mature and constructive information if I decide to purchase a Vezel.

Q5 is great. I think you should buy it. That's my recommendation to you based on your strong suggestion.

    Go study, kiddo.

Its pretty good. It is ok. If the Eco button is off it is even more powerful.

Suppose to be a 2 litre performance due to high compression engine.

I downgraded from a salon 2.4 litre. Still find it ok. Its not Q5 pickup though but for the price it is good.

Just find it abit noisy on some roads. Maybe it is the wheel area. Trying to think what to do.

    Hi Coolsurfer,

I understand Vezel has its limits, that's why I did not ask for speed beyond 140 km/hr

    How's the car feels at 110 - 140 km/hr.

  • 09 November 2014 - 10:48 PM
    Mulberrypork

Hi there, as a Vezel owner here i would like to share with you that from speed from 90km/h to 120km/h, there has no hint of vibration

Actually the othe day i sped up on AYE to 120km/h for overtaking and i felt like i was going less than that until i glanced down to see the speedometer. Stable and smooth. Noise s there but negated by my stereo which i totally can tahan ...thats just me saying

The pick up at low is a little slow, but once u hit mid range it is more punchy, but bear in mind if you use/ switch to 'S' gear it will be more punchy and of course fuel consumption will be dramatically affected [laugh]

from 1.8L to 1.5L i personnally think is a good and friendlier to your pocket.

if you have more queries do PM me for more info which i hope i can help u answer

    my 2 cents

    hope it clears your doubt.

the colour change is just a normal lighting setting bro

Any idea for the speedometer outer ring what does it mean when it is green or white?

    Thanks

Bro I do not own a vezel yet, are you referring to this?

Perhaps our bros who already owned a vezel can confirm?

Saw Nissan - TC also bringing in 1.2 Qashqai, Lol..think will be also underpower. But duno understand for SUV why would you be so concern on Engine power, isn't it more on fuel saving and safety function?

My problem with the back handles is that it is too high. My p1 son must do full stretch to reach it. Hahaha

1.2 Turbocharged won't be so underpowered. Fuel consumption will be lesser due to efficient engine.

Guys my ride is coming and I need advice.. I read all about our previous tyre conversations and understand most of us got 17".. But personally, why 17 over 16? And which profile? 225 or 235?

I don't feel like topping up for 17" but if it has it's benefits, I'm willing to consider.. I've always been someone who leave my car stock.. So damn noob in this.. Thanks in advance!

high rims profile = high fuel consumption. its more on the aesthetics, unless your 17" rims are lighter than your 16"
