Anyone compare what upgrade TC can provide with what UK spec offer?

Since our local 1.2 and 2.0 have limited function only

There is.. Can take out the patch kit holder and place in a spare tyre like 2.0...

Has any 1.2t owner bro done that?
    Curious to know about this.

I don't think you can. The whole layout is different, you need to do a boot changed which may cost abit. At the moment don't think TC have or will do that. There are in fact 3 different kind of boot for Qq. Search online and you can find the 3 different kind of car boot.

The more I read, the more I felt our 2.0 technology is very far behind as compare to 1.2 abit and to add on, TC nv bring in more optional or suggest any further upgrade.

Those won't nv know the full function of Qq and what is lacking in our local 1.2/2.0, do refer to the link.

imagining..just imagining..if they bring in a QASHQAI HYBRID, in which Nissan already has this tech.
    1)4by4 AWD
    2)2.0L 150bhp petrol engine
    3)100bhp Hybrid Electric motor

Ermm... Uk side add the space saver tyre.... Can further ponder over it. :)
Wonder what is the size of the spare tyre in 2.0.....using the space saver tyre type too?

This is excluding the the tyre repair kit :)

Hey bro, your opinion is true to yourself, and has to be respected by anyone. Go with your heart :0)

For my side of the story, visually QQ's interior looks more premium but didn't feel so to me. I am someone who needs to touch touch feel feel to connect. I would go molest both cars thoroughly, shift the sit to your best restful position, close doors close eyes and feel, hehe. Then as a big sized guy i will shift the seats to my comfortable driving position and then go to the back and sit "behind myself". In tis case, vezel rear cabin was larger with seats that can lean back, whereas QQ seats were quite upright. I still felt comfortable in both. But the magic folding seats in vezel just kinda crossed the finish line 0.1secs faster and shifted my decision. Actually, also....when i was looking at QQ, only 2.0L was available and the pricing sucked at well over $140k despite COE not yet being the highest at 76890 in early Jan. The price itself turned me off, It was priced same as 2,5L Teana becos Teana was gg through sale.

In Altis thread alot of pple argue vehicle made in thailand, japan, UK or wherever are the same as long as they r manufactured by the same company, which i totally disagree. When i tested the QQ 1.2T vs 2.0L vs Xtrail 2.0L, it felt funny to me why 1.2T signal control is european style (left) while 2.0L was Japanese styl (right) and both gear lever felt cheap and rough despite everything else feeling premium. The soft touch material in UK made looks exactly the same as Japan made Xtrail, but Xtrail interior felt nicer to touch and feel, except for the seat which had a narrower base than QQ. I prefer QQ over Xtrail though.

External appeal, haha, for the right colour, i would wanna own both!! QQ drives very comfortably and Vezel to me drives fun. I have yet to test vezel cvt though, so my comparison is with my Vezel Hybrid. I think i need another test drive with 1.2T QQ which if my wife aim QQ in future it would be that. I wanna feel the higher end torque and higher speed pickup. 0-50kmh runs are good and perky.

For those bros driving the 1.2T, what you think of the start-stop technology of the engine?

now most new cars have it like the Mazda 3/6 or Audi also have

but for the QQ, when I test drive, I realize that it does not kick in immediately, firstly the compressor will wait until the interior temp of the car cools or reach a certain level maybe 22 degrees, then the start/stop of the engine will kick it to save petrol

but when it kicks in, the air-con power dies down quite a fair bit, machim like lose power

I test drove the Mazda and also Audi, their start-stop don't work in this manner, the minute the engine is on, this feature is present and it does not reduce the cooling power of the aircon

either the 1.2 engine is dam freaking smart or Nissan technology not up there?

    any bros face similar experience?

at least u can afford chg new ride instead of 3-4k repair. some have no choice but to pay for repair. for me, i still find forking out 1+k to fix some a/c n shocks still worth since i've at least 3yrs to go.

I don't feel the pinch when after buying a car, the price starts to drop. It doesn't affect me at all because I am already enjoying the car. Besides, if I had waited, my existing ride's value will most probably drop as well so the difference becomes quite insignificant.

Feel happy with what you have done. Enjoy the car and drive safe.

Yes, car is stock. It has the solar film from TC. Chose the darker tints for the behind windows. You can choose not to have darker tints for the behind so the car Windows will not have 2 different shades of windows. I was having that dilemma but decided to go for the darker one after considering the hot sunny weather here.

I was having that dilemma but decided to go for the darker one after considering the hot sunny weather here.

    Thanks for the info.
Sometimes difficult to make choice without any samples to check :(
So what your verdict or advice?

I feel 1.2TC too small, 2.0NA too big, why don't have 1.5/1.6 QQ, like Vezel?

Nissan Emergency Spare Wheel Assy "J11 Rad". It's possible to swap out the repair kit. Alternatively, 1.2T owner can swap with 2.0.

Probably TC worry that if they bring it 1.6, then it affect their 2.0 sales.
But then if they do bring in the 1.6, it should attract lot of ppl sitting at the side of vezel over.
Cant get all the pro of a decision.... Same for those deciding between vezel and QQ...lol

    I think TC didn't bring in 1.6T is a big mistake, should not bring 1.2 & 2.0,

nowadays small cc SUV is the trend all of the world, lets say 1.6T compare to 2.0, performance and better than 2.0NA but road tax saving abt S$400 yearly, plus fuel saving and purchase price low, 10 years at less 15K saving,

agree! just bring in 1.5 or 1.6NAnwith just under 130bhp for Cat A and 1.6T for Cat B.

it wun eat into sales of Sylphy IMO,targetting totally diff mkt segments. even if pple jump from sedan to compact SUV,it is still their sales. 1.2T is somewhat fine also for additional rd tax savings,as long as it's reliable (renault engine). 2.0L NA needs more power to justify

Nice! Our spare tyre can sell? Sell to Garung guni or scrap metal dealer?

Happy New Year to all Qashqai owners here!

Over the New Year holiday, saw quite a number of QQ on road. Nice! [thumbsup]

Collected my 1.2T Silver QQ on 13Feb,so been driving it for almost 1 week. So thought I'll just share a bit of how i find the car. Any fellow 1.2T QQ owners feel free to correct me / contribute inputs as well [:)]

    The ride:

    - has been smooth and comfortable. That being said, I'm a light footer and rarely step hard. But on slope, especially from standstill, think due to its massive weight, need to step abit harder. So in summary, be prepared to step abit harder from standstill.

    - I've been keeping my ECO mode on all the time, interior aircon at 23Degree C with fan speed at 2 most of the time. My best fuel economy shown was 18.6km/litres. But on average is about 15km/litres.

Just did my 1st re-fuel and upon calculation, I achieve 13.5km/litres.

    - Realise fuel economy is better (on highway) at about 100km/hr at around 2000RPM (fellow 1.2T owners, would like to hear your experience on this) thou initially I tried to maintain at 90km/hr at around 1700RPM. Am still monitoring to see any huge difference between the two.

    - Start-Stop function works almost 90% of the time. Realise it doesn't work when:

    - car interior temp. has not meet your chosen temperature.

    - did not depress the brake hard enough

    - any movement (eg. turn the steering wheel, accidentally release the brake) either before/after the Start-Stop function is activated.

    Interior:

    - The infortainment system is able to play media files via disc player, SD card and USB.

Via the disc player, can play only .avi video files format only ( correct me if I'm wrong cuz i've tried all various format but can't play ). If you sort your MP3 in various folders, all the MP3 will still be lump into 1 folder.

Via SD card slot, can play almost all video format. Personally, I'm using this to play all my music as well as the MP3 will shown according to the folder they are in and not lump together into 1 folder unlike via disc player.

Via USB, sad to say, I think my USB and Aux in port are faulty [:(]cannot work at all?! Estimating will be sending my car in for the 1st 1000km servicing somewhere in the 1st / 2nd week in Mar. Will raise up the issue for them to help me check.

    - Bluetooth function has been working well and voice clarity is clear.

    - GPS is working well. But the parking fee amount information for certain carparks are not up to date.

    - Only the driver side window is Auto. So for the rest, have to press and hold to wind down / up the window.

    - My current car boot configuration is the inner bigger board placed below, the outer smaller board in an upright position. Personally, i find the board separating the tool kits abit too thin. When i put a bag of canned groceries on it, can see it kinda dent in abit.

For my 1st 1000km servicing, am thinking of getting their
