no. use reverse camera. good enuf.

no good enuf if you want to see & judge your rear wheels location before bump kerb, something I need help with, especially since my Mon's wheelbase is long

But it has dipped reverse position function although must press the mirror select button to tell it I want that mirror to dip. Maybe Mazda3 same? User manual should say if got such thing.

Thks for encouragement bro. End of the day its still my own judgement, nothing to blame. Just that a series of things happen on such an exp new car made me very bek chek. I decide not to take too much heart on the car any more.

Haiz I also sibei sien looking at the prices now. Looks like a 2 litre car is gonnabe cheaper than my 1.5 HB deluxe...

You made the correct judgement based on limited information at that point in time.

I've checked with my se and I'm going in this round. But will only pay e balance in March, they can keep it for me. But I wanna know the rebate level, price, freebies, insurance cost, mz3 1.5 vs 2.0 servicing cost diff before deciding.

I found out the reason and the next will sure rise. But it'll still drop a few rounds later maybe in April.

What's the reasons leh? I wanna learn for... education reasons.

Conspiracy theory 1: Sunroof is actually a solar panel, M3D is a partial electric car :)

    Simply Brilliant! :D

If I do this, I will throw all Mazda owners' "face". I dont want to be ????

Is ok just cover your face, bomb the base :D :D :D

Thanks... Will take note of that when I reach around 150KM....

It just feels funny to drive and the fuel gauge just doesn't drop! Haha

Haha... Bro, if it drop too soon then I scare! Haha

    Bros,

When I first collected my car, the fuel gauge showed about 25% full. Then I went and to pump a full tank, and the fuel gauge showed 100% full.

Now here is the funny thing... I have driven for about 100KM these 2 days and the fuel gauge still show 100% (all the small boxes at the fuel gauge are white). Surely that makes me super happy until I change the display to "range" and seeing it getting lower bit by bit... So just wondering if there is anything wrong with my fuel gauge not displaying properly or I am super lucky to get a car that runs on nothing?

My Mazda 2 will show the fuel level drop by a mark around 170km traveled.

    :XD:

The car coming from Japan with only little petrol inside and at sea for weeks. As such, the contact point after the 'float' got oxidation and contact not working properly. After few pumps, it will show more accurate reading. Just like sometimes you need to clean your cash card "gold chip" in order to top-up cash. :meaw:

Another way is, try this, move the contact point a bit :

Toyota use Mazda Skyactiv engine ?

yeah... they have signed an agreement, Toyota apparently decided SkyActiv technology was so much better that they want to use it.

One of the latest Scion city sedan is a rebadged Mazda2

Actually, you don't want a remote boot release for hatchback. Otherwise, the boot will fly up and hit pipes / water sprinkler / empty parking lot detector if you don't notice.

In any case, you just need to press the button which is located near where the number plate bulbs are to unlock the boot.

Anyway, on to the first question. Any good tyres to recommend that aren't too different from the factory ones? I only intend to change the rear 2 - including the one with the tear - only 3 months old so I'm not going to get anything special yet.

Is it a defective tyre? Or tear during driving against kerb n etc?

I encountered bubble-like defects during my old rides at the side wall of the tyre and managed to do a change.

Maybe u check first with the AD, then also write or call the local bridgestone office?

No idea if it's a defective one. It's Toyo btw. Highly doubt that AD will do anything seeing as it's 3 months old. But thanks for the advice all the same. Still looking for a decent tyre brand and model. Gonna have to change them tomorrow to be safe - I have kids and a grandfather in the car.

Does anyone have any opinions on the Bridgestone GR100? I see that they have them at Autobacs - does anyone know what they cost?

I think our Toyo stock tyres are branded just for Mazda. Hard to find the same model outside. But, who knows, you may be able to because some of us traded in those tyres.

You can try Soh Brothers Tyres at AMK Avenue 10. I traded in my tyres there in December, who knows, maybe he still has them haha.

Quite true too.. Was looking at the car mart, it appears 1.5 hatchback has remote book with 2.0 don't have. But come think about it now, if I'm going for hatchback might as well go for 2.0 since the price is only 7k away. What do you guys think?

My Mz3 2014 was with stocked Toyo. I changed it to GR100 last Oct, around $600+.
Don't feel any performance or rolling resistance difference to Toyo. But they r very quiet. Maybe unfair comparison because don't know stock tyres how long under the sun.

I'm driving a 1.5 HB, remote does not have this remote boot thing.

I'll go with the 2 litre with this price difference, but things to take note of:

    1. Higher fuel consumption

    2. Higher road tax

    3. Probably more expensive insurance

    4. A bit harder to sell in future because people may prefer Mazda6 because not much price diff.

But, the pros are a lot lah. I'm sure you have seen it in this forum already.

M3 sedan for me also... Extremely poor reception, surfed the www forum overseas and is a known problem.

Not sure where gone wrong, all my previous rides never so worst...

Just found out the cause to my radio interference. Its caused by my new USB poweradaptor used to power car camera and for phone charging. It isgenerating "noise" thruany USB cable that is connected to it and is interfering with the radio reception... Just got hold of a few ferrite core bead to snap on the USB cables and the interference was gone. Something like the picture below.

I've tried GR90 previously, very good wet/dry performance and very quiet. I will take GR100 for my next change anytime since its even better than GR90.

Hatchback 2.0 OMV 18,575. Est. paper value 57,182

Hatchback 1.5 OMV 17,431 Est. paper value 59,082

    Sedan 1.5 OMV 16,850 Est. paper 58,501.

I'm pretty sure TEK will not align tyres as it costs quite a bit and requires time and special equipment. Rotate and balance is the usual order of the day. Alignment is not necessary unless your tyres have inconsistent balding (the inside surface wears more than the outer surface or vice versa). I've only ever had to align my tyres once in 20+ years of driving and 5 cars. Only my first car had algnment issues at one point back in the 90s and it was a Subaru Justy. aaaahhh happy memories... haha

Also a Subaru Viki, Hyundai Pony

Haha. Ya - my poly friend used to drive a yellow suzuki fronte. come to think of it, the viki might have been the predecessor to the subaru r1 and r2. I still remember the tv commercials for the Pony - the last words from the girl in the commercial "but ours is automatic" - I didn't even know what that meant. haha

No preference anyway. If wait till for next shipment will be April and the car will be ready by May.

Was told new shipment was in, but not release yet (my SE called and check color for me). Was ask to top up 1k more for sedan new shipment. ie. those here in Jan. that was what i was told. But decided on hatchback so when for the hatchback which i believe is the nov shipment based on what i see on this phone just now, where he log into the Euro Group site to check stock.
