Use charcoal stove cook is not unker hor, how many unker will even fark care or bother
to cook with a charcoal stove to preserve tradition? Everyone now want fast and easy, al lazy also.
If you have tasted food cooked on a charcoal stove, which you all have, you will know then the true
difference between that and food cooked on a regular gas stove. Also, the way the food is prepared
    in, no machines.

One ounce of effort, 10 pounds of difference. sleep.gif

    Published on Oct 6, 2011

    Buy SPH photos

    By Elizabeth Soh

Sixteen drink drivers were arrested early on Thursday in a four-hour traffic police operation.

Fifteen men and one woman were caught at road blocks along Ganges Avenue, Zion Road, Havelock Road, and Outram Road.

The highest breathalyser result clocked in was 75 microgrammes, or more than two times the prescribed legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 ml of breath.

Aged between 32 and 62 years, the drink drivers face being disqualified from driving for at least 12 months or losing their driving licences. They may also be fined up to $5000 or jailed for six months.

Microchip firm UTAC Holdings lays off 220 workers
Shift to higher-end manufacturing is UTAC's reason for cuts

    Published on Oct 7, 2011

    By Kor Kian Beng

A total of 220 factory workers and engineers were retrenched on Thursday from microchip tester UTAC Holdings, which is moving up the technology ladder to produce higher-value products.

These employees of its subsidiary, United Test and Assembly Center (UTAC), a provider of semi-conductor assembly and testing services that had employed 2,486 workers, were given the news in the morning.

Each was given one month's pay for every year of service and $300 for skills training courses, a severance package that their union said was 'fair'.

The workers' average age is 30.

stop starring at the comp or squint ur eyes... relac one korner for awhile..
or ask our migraine specialist, Mr. J22 for advise.

only advice is to sleep alot. drink more water.

other than that is notice your slping posture at night. is it correct. check is the pillow support is good if not change it.
buy a $100 over pillow if need to.

then go to spa look for those bone specialist to check if your neck bone a bit out of place. if yes, pay them to twist it back for you in around 12 to 20 session depending on seriousness of your migrane.

for that matter, back pain also same procedure.

if still having pain after lunch, will take the panadol extra ..

I think you need some beer. If it's left side migraine, take Tiger. If right side, take Carlsberg. If both sides, Heineken will do the trick (Every wonder why Heineken is more expensive?) sleep.gif

A man who stole $69,000 from his employer and gambled away the money at a casino was jailed for one year on Friday.

Daniel Ang Kok Peng, 38, who pleaded guilty, was a senior sales executive at Dickson Watch and Jewellery at Orchard Road on July 31.

After he had surrendered himself to the police the next day, the assistant store manager made a check and found $69,000 missing from the safe.

The court heard that Ang was having financial difficulties. He stole the money and went to the casino at Resorts World Sentosa where he lost everything.

one thing i see from these salepeople in branded goods retail, they have been surrounded with filthy rich people spending thousands and thousands on the product they trying to sell, some even friend friend with the rich (not real of course) until they cannot differentiate that they are only an employee (some only has o lebel). so they have the illusion that they belong to that circle which end up doing stupid thing dry.gif

This actually is a very common occurence especially in 3rd world countries. When I am in Indonesia, one dinner is can be more than the waiter's monthly salary.

There was this incident 2-3 years ago in Batam when the masseus came to my room. They had a 32" Plasma TV in the room. Back then, it cost around $1200. She mentioned TV very nice and asked if it is more than 'Sepuluh Juta' or 10million Rupiah. Based on the exchange rate then, that was around $1200 too so I replied I would think so.

She said "Wow, that is alot of money." If she has that money, she would be able to buy a little house (I am not sure but I asked her again and she confirmed can buy a small house in the sub-urbs.)

She said Singaporeans very rich, tThen she asked me if my salary got Sepuluh Juta a month. To avoid a murder case in Batam, I denied and joked "Where got people one month earn that much one?" I think she believes me.

I always find Batam vs Singapore very interesting. Just 20km seperates the 2 islands but the difference in economy is like heaven and earth.

yup, when i was Jakarta quite frequent years back, i always tip the driver 20K rupiah for a day trip, or 5K for a short one. The waiter cannot even afford a cup of starsbuck with they daily salary (they make likeS$300 per month).

but Batam and Bintan different, they charge S$, so they know biggrin.gif
