A man says that his wife is being forced to sell her body in Geylang.
Mr Luo (49, security officer) believes that his wife, 47, was taken away by her former supervisor (age 36).
His wife worked as a cleaner in a coffeeshop in Bedok North.
Luo's wife had gone missing several times and was only recently found in Geylang.
A friend had informed Luo of a woman who looks like his wife at Geylang Lorong 12. The woman was soliciting men for sex.
Luo went to Geylang to see for himself and found his wife standing in the street, with her head bowed low and smelling like she hasn't bathed in days.
The woman appeared fearful and kept repeating to Luo that she was being forced to sell her body.
Her ex-supervisor had supposedly threatened to burn down her house, and she felt that she had no choice but to do as he demanded.
Luo explains that his wife is very scared of trouble and her ex-supervisor is exploiting her fear.
He also found bruises on his wife, and believes that the ex-supervisor beats her when she fails to make money on the streets.
"She told me, when she makes money, they will stay in a budget hotel. If not, she will follow him and sleep out in the streets."
Luo believes that his wife is doing this because she is worried that her family may be harmed by her ex-supervisor.
He claims that the ex-supervisor targets ignorant older women, usually cleaners and dishwashers, and manipulates them.
Luo's wife has since gone missing again and he has lodged a police report.

A man has been sending his nude photos to potential sex partners on the internet.
The man had advertised online that he has a strong sex drive, and is looking for sex partners with no strings attached.
In the ad, he specifies that he is not picky with the woman's age, race, height and weight, and has only one condition, that the woman must also have a strong sex drive like him.
Masquerading as a 35-year-old woman, reporters contacted the man to speak to him.
The 38-year-old man, who claims he is an engineer, introduced himself as thin, mixed blood, 1.7m tall and 60kg.
He was also very willing to show his nude photos to interested parties.
He eventually sent more than ten of his nude photos to the fictitious "35-year-old woman".
Eventually, the man asked to meet his potential sex partner on the same evening at an eatery in the east.
When reporters arrived at the coffeeshop to meet the man, he appeared panicked and disappointed to find out the truth, but revealed to reporters that he is a lonely divorcee looking for sex.
He is currently fighting for custody of his children with his ex-wife and was introduced by a friend to look for sex partners on the internet.
He claims that he was nervous because this is his first time doing so.
Before leaving, he also asked reporters not to put his nude photos on the internet.

A Qantas pilot is under investigation for making out with a woman on a flight.
The incident happened last week, on Qantas flight QF32, from London to Singapore and Sdyney.
An off-duty pilot was seen sitting on a woman's lap in front of the other passengers in the first class cabin.
The man was not in uniform, and it is unknown whether he knows the woman or had behaved this way because he was drunk.
But the public display of affection led to a flood of complaints from passengers, prompting the crew to speak twice to the pilot.
The man was eventually moved to the economy cabin and only returned to first class after the woman got off the plane in Singapore.
An investigation is underway at Qantas and the man may lose his $240,000-a-year job.

SINGAPORE: The majority of Singaporeans just cannot stop working during their vacation.
A survey by online travel agency Expedia said Singapore has some of the world's most dedicated workforce with 81 per cent of respondents admitting to checking-in on work while away on vacation.
The study is an annual analysis of the diverse holiday habits of travellers around the world.
The 2011 study spans Asia, Australia, North America, Europe and South America, and compares vacationing habits and attitudes of more than 7,800 employed people across 20 countries.

Employees clock an average of 44 working hours a week.

Probation report called for girl involved in abusing boy

SINGAPORE: A probation report has been called on Thursday for a 14-year-old girl who held her 10-year-old male relative while her mother splashed hot oil on him.
The girl, her parents and two sisters aged 20 and 24, were arrested in June this year.
Channel NewsAsia understands the 46-year-old mother, who works as a cleaner, is the grand-aunt of the boy.
The court heard the boy -- who started living with the family at age four when his biological mother went to prison -- had been abused since 2009.
Early this year, the girl and her sisters complained to their mother that the boy had eaten all the food in the house, and was playing with the gas stove.
Their mother then instructed the three of them to hold the boy's arms and legs down while she heated cooking oil in a frying pan.
The woman then took off his shirt and used a ladle to splash hot oil from the frying pan onto his face and bare body.
She then told her daughters to turn him around, where she repeated the act on his bare back.
A medical report by Dr Sharon Wong of KK Women's and Children's Hospital revealed the boy suffered facial deformities, including multiple first-degree burns and several scars over his head and face.
The boy is currently in a welfare home.
Two other charges against the girl - of voluntarily causing hurt - were also taken into consideration.
On two separate occasions, she had aided her mother by holding the boy down while her mother snipped his fingers with a pair of scissors, and pressed a hot ladle against his back.
In mitigation, her lawyer, Mr M S Rajendran, said she was "not thinking rationally when she was confronted with obedience towards her mother".
The court also heard the girl knew the boy was in pain and "felt sorry for him but could not bring herself to defy her mother".
Her lawyer added the girl is currently in a girls' home and is remorseful.
Her uncle and aunt have offered to take custody of her and have signed a bond ensuring her good behaviour.
Both her parents and sisters will have their cases mentioned in court on 23 December.
