Situated right beside the junction of Changi Road and Telok Kurau Road, is the famous Anson Chee Cheong Fun shop, this place has all kinds of chee cheong fun, even curry chee cheong fun.
The house special cost just S$2.80 and is supposedly a specialty from Telok Anson, Ipoh, in Malaysia.
The fillings include turnips and shallots ? real yummy!
I couldn?t resist the variety and tried a different chee cheong fun on my last visit - mushroom meat chee cheong fun (S$2.80)
Also on the menu is Ipoh Hor Fun (S$3.50). During my last visit with the family some months back, we ordered 3 helpings ? I was the only ?non supporter?, somehow it just wasn?t my cup of tea.
If like me, you prefer something else, I would recommend the Curry Chicken Mee (S$3.50)
Or the yummy Yam Cake (S$2.20)
And the MUST TRY of the shop ? Pumpkin cake.
As far as I know it?s the one and only Pumpkin cake in Singapore (S$3.50).
If I could only eat one item at this shop, this would be it.
It?s softer than yam cake and you can taste a slight sweetness.
