A couple failed to consummate their marriage and had to learn how to have sex from a doctor.
The 38-year-old couple, both civil servants, were married at 26 years old. They could not have children for the past 12 years and approached a doctor for help.
After being interviewed by the doctor, it was found that the couple did not have children because they have not consummated their marriage.
The doctor found that whenever the couple tried to have sex, the woman would cramp up because she was too nervous. As her husband did not want to cause her pain, he eventually gave up trying to consummate the marriage.
According to Dr Kumar, a senior consultant at the Gleneagles Hospital Gynaecology department, more than 90% of sex-related problems in women are a result of psychological issues. This includes the cramps that the woman was experiencing.
He said, "Painful sex as a result of the vagina cramping up is mainly due to psychological barriers in the woman. This could be due to a lack of sexual knowledge or due to the woman's views toward sex. She could be very reserved or think that sex is a dirty act.
In the case of the 38-year-old couple, the woman had believed that she has a very small and narrow vagina. She was also very afraid of pain. This resulted in her cramping up and her fears coming true.
Despite counselling and learning relaxing techniques, the couple still failed to achieve intercourse. Finally, Dr Kumar put the woman on the operating table and sedated her to relax her muscles. The gynaecologist then showed her that her vagina is not as small as she thought it was.
The couple eventually managed to consummate their marriage and the woman became pregnant four months later.
According to doctors, 50% of Singaporean women experience some form of sexual dysfunction but most of them do not seek help. Most of these women develop problems between the ages of 25 and 35. Women between 45 and 65 also experience these problems due to menopause.

34-year-old Peter says he was cheated of $40,000 by his former gigolo boyfriend and nearly even enacted a will to leave part of his assets to the gigolo.
Peter works as a manager and claims to make more than $10,000 a month. He ended a relationship in March this year and started looking for comfort from other sources.
He got to know a Chinese national gigolo through a website and began dating the man by paying him $200 to $500 each time. The gigolo appeared very sincere towards Peter and comforted Peter when he was heartbroken.
"I did not want him servicing other clients, so he offered to be 'mine' for $20,000 a month. I offered him $10,000 and he moved in with me immediately," Peter said.
Peter recalled that the gigolo often praised him for being very special and different from his other clients. The gigolo also won Peter's heart by giving Peter a ring as a present.
"I felt that he was sincere towards me, so I went with him to a lawyer to enact a will to leave part of my assets for him," Peter said.
Luckily for Peter, his lawyer noticed that he was emotionally unstable at the time, so the lawyer declined to draw up his will for him then.
Peter added that the gigolo had used a fake photo in his internet ad. The ad had shown a well-built man with six-pack abs, but the gigolo was plump in person and even had a belly.
However, Peter did not mind the deception as he found the gigolo well-spoken in person.
Peter later found out that these Chinese national gigolos would hang around on the streets in Chinatown looking for clients. According to Peter, the gigolos can only stay in Singapore for short periods, so they try to make more money by getting clients to take them as "kept men".

Completely unmarked cars will now be patrolling the roads, specifically in areas with higher numbers of traffic violations and accidents. These areas include expressways.
The cars will likely have at least two traffic policemen, with at least one in uniform. The officers will note the license plate details of traffic offenders and send notices directly to the vehicle owners for traffic offences.
The officers will stop vehicles only when necessary.
According to Mr S. Iswaran, the Second Minister for Home Affairs, the move is aimed at "engendering self-discipline among motorists, to ensure that safe driving habits are deeply ingrained".
Such unmarked cars were first introduced in 2004 by the traffic police, but the cars were phased out after only a short period. At that time, the cars came in varying makes and colours, ordinary license plates, and were driven by plainclothes police officers.

To alleviate the symptoms, she ate some medication her husband, Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, 34, bought her.
The medications did not work. She then visited a local doctor, who prescribed her pills for dermatitis.
However, the pills made her face swell up and hives erupt on her skin. She stopped taking them after a week, and turned to some traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in town.
She was given some medication that reduced the swelling, but also made her put on weight. However, the medication was expensive, costing VND30,000 (S$1.88) a day, and did not do much to improve her condition.
Phuong soon began wearing a face mask whenever she went out. After her husband quit his job in 2009 to take care of her, they ran out of money and she stopped taking all medications.
She then decided it as a fate decreed by God and the couple stopped trying to cure her condition, Phuong told local news outlets.

A car enthusiast website has posted a picture of a Ferrari Enzo left to ruin in a parking lot in the desert country.
This followed a spotting of the rare Jaguar XJ220 supercar abandoned in the desert as well.
According to Motor Authority, the Enzo was seen in a police impound lot.
With daily temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius, the report said the car could likely be severely damaged in the heat.
Only 399 Enzos were officially sold to the public, the report said.
The Enzo was sold for about $3 million in Singapore when it was unveiled back in 2002.
