Aiyoh this brings its own worries lor

Pls dun come back all bai-kar bai-chiu, later Pool will suffer as a result. Already played so many games this season at club level, must hope they dun get injured - won't be good for their countries nor the club.

Also, either their holidays or pre-season will likely be affected somewhat, right? We need them to be freshened up after a long season to be ready for the much-needed improvement come Aug.

Plus with expected new faces joining the club, will need the new-look team to gel well. So pls pls pls come back in good shape...

Congratulation for starting another "actively participated" thread for new LFC season.

I do hope most of the Pool players esp DS are given bit parts in this Euro campaign. Better still let England pack up by the first 3 games.

Club selfish interest vs national glory. If they play England with all Pool players involved fully, big big trouble for Klopp. Preseason fitness program can turn out to be medical recovery nightmare. hahaha.

If England can do well without Pool players getting injured, that would be ideal scenario.

Klopp has been careful to say he is a Normal one. But based on his track record, I having strong feeling this new season 2016/2017 will be a Exceptional one. With so many cream of the crop coaches now in Epl, it would surely not be normal business as usual.

    Let a new dawn awaits.

Very true... More players out means less players for Klopp to train during pre-season ...
And more worrying, is that a higher risk for injuries ...
    Fingers crossed ....

actually. i was reading an article.

if the national team do well. although tiring for the players, due to the high from the winning the cup. they actually perform better for their club team the following season due to the morale boost.

if they do badly on national duty, then they will carry over the bad form into the next season which is further exacerbated by the lack of rest.

human psyche works in mysterious ways.

Well only Clyne is first team.

Milner more likely to play on current form rather than Henderson.
But henderson must be some teacher's pet or something. he's been very mediocre in his England outings.

I don't think I've seen him get like a rating beyond 4-6/10 before.

Then Surely will love Lovren, and possibly Sakho. Both were possible starters for their country, until Lovren fell out with national coach, and Sakho got into trouble with fat burner.

Actually Clyne is up against Walker for starting position. Walker is not as reliable defensively, but is faster and taller. So depends on what the mgr thinks.

And I'll be surprised if either Milner or Hendo starts. I don't even feel they deserve to be start for club, let alone country

First team MC should be Dier and Delle Alli based on form.

Reporting in, late forumer compared to the guys here, was reading on the last part where all the old birds used to watch during the 70s..

For me i wasn't an out and out LFC fan, i started watching during the era when Blackburn won their first title.. where they showed on ch5..

It was only a few years later where i worked at Prinsep st, there was this cafe called the Garage, the owner was a liverpool fan, and weekends there will always be huge crowds gathering to watch the game on the 2nd floor..the fans, the atmosphere, the love for the team, the gatherings.. there's where my love for LFC grew.. but becus due to lack of coverage, unlike now, i wasn't active..

During my time the often covered games was the Msia league, hence BPL took a backseat.. ever since den.. Lpool in my blood.. So much so i always tell my friends, no matter which hot gal, or even a celebrity who wants to date me out or even sleep with me, i will tell them to wait after my LFC game.. HAHA

That's the problem of having so many hardcore, die-hard & optimistic supporters...

    Hello hello hello.

Liverpool supporters, I mean the real ones, are seriously and dangerously optimistic. Their key spiritual immortals are in the spirit of Bill Shankly whose infamous quotes lives on.

    Quote

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
If you are first you are first. If you are second you are nothing.
The trouble with referees is that they know the rules, but they do not know the game.
    Unquote.
Every club goes through ups and downs. Many reasons like ownership changes, financial management quality and most important of all is the quality of coach on the pitch. For example, the end of the Alex Ferguson era some 3 years ago sees the decline of Man United as a powerful and feared footballing club, the key factor is of course the coach despite humongous spending on new players.
Liverpool's footballing performance was erratic and mirrors the financial performance after David Moore sold out the 50 year old family treasure to Tom Hicks and George Gillet on a leveraged buyout in 2007. Things seem to stabilize after Fenway Sports Group took over the club from 2010 onwards. After that the rest is a story you know best, a story of hope and optimism whenever a new coach after Rafa Benitez was put in place starting with Roy Hodgson and now we have Klopp.
Only thing left is to give Klopp time to put his act together. YNWA with Klopp.

Since the days of incorporating EPL as separate profit centre of the English FA, the commercial greed of max-ing out all the players physically dry is evident. England becomes team of millionaire football stars, not footballers in the traditional sense.

Everything is dollars and cents, The key players selected are usually burnt out. Winning for national glory is no more a compelling reason, but a commercially expedient option.

Signing b4 euros also gd. Then the players can concentrate on the tournament. This is the viewpoint of players. But for clubs, they may get to uncover other talents if wait for euros. But also the pkayers they already want may get other suitors if they perform well.

    You guys very disillusioned :D

When can we ever get a player from Barca to play in Pool?

esp now that we don't have UCL next season ...

I would rather, if the player don't have heart to play for Pool, and if Barca comes along, we will just cash on him ... but definitely must get more $ than current value, something like COV ! :))

All b'cos Klopp had brought far too many midfielders.

Need an all out-to-out striker like Luis Suarez, Pool will be there, right at the top of BPL. :yuush:

LS with Origi and Firmino in support from flanks ....... [thumbsup]

Luis Suarez is not just a striker, he is a very consistent striker. Can take free kick, can create his own chance, can run and run, can harass defenders, doesn't get injured regularly. And he is captain material. Older nevermind.

But i will have one request written in his contract, he will require to wear a mask that cover his mouth during the match and after the match until he goes shower [laugh]

PC has not been consistent in his performances and we should cash in on him when the opportunity arises.

Some may question whether if we can still attract people to Liverpool and continue our rebuilding. Imo, the answer is YES. With committed players who believe in playing for the club collectively, they will help the club's cause in rebuilding our stature and reinstate ourselves into regular European football nights such as Europa or UEL.

No one is indispensable so with the right mix and committed players, JK can then mould them into developing the same conviction in our rebuilding. When we achieve some success, it will be not be too late to attract star players and ply their career with Liverpool; whom some believe is not as glamorous as compared to other cities such as London etc.

Not forgetting, we are not very cash rich to attract star players with sky high wages.

My humble opinion as a true red - YNWA.

TBH if u guys are hoping for "stars" be disappointed.. i read an article about Klopp signing players for dortmund.. Who he signs are not bench warmers.. who he signs are players he believe are starters.. he dosen't care for age, nor experience.. he wants the type of players that plays to his heavy metal style..

The likes of Jonas Hector, dahoud, Sane, Mane, chilwall, zelinski.. these are players he believe should fit his system..

but seriously even if Suarez is 33/34, still a good bet tobuy (cheaply)him back (unless he wants to go back to Uruguay to play his last football)

at that age, think he can still poach 15 goals a season

Agree bro!!! south americans are for making $$$. do think not a bad idea to sell him if the price is right. Many bros will say " how can".. well I have been a red supporter since 10YO. and have been on annual pilgrimage to anfield for the last 18 years.. damn and we have not won the league...

time to win something... and if it means selling PC and get players that can help us win.. why not.. :pissed-off:[bounce1]:a-happy:
