I also kana, if the driver dispute, which is stupid, he'd have to engage his own lawyer, call you in as witness, and when he's found guilty, which he will be, end up none the smarter, cos he would have spent a few grand, instead of just paying the fine and ending it there.

Even with video evidence, LTA still needs your assurance that you are willing to testify in court if the need arises. It would be quite rare for the person to dispute the charges, so perhaps you can think over. It would help make the roads safer if LTA can take action against the driver.
I have a qns though...the ITB-100HD lens cannot be tilted right?
the whole unit can be tilted to adjust. for blackvue the unit is fixed but lens moves. same la. you only need to fix it once.
Currently, ITB is the top pick from my side now due to the night quality, wider angle in full hd + gps over finevu.So many option.

I reply them already, i think what they meant is that he will dispute over the tailgating part which my video cant prove, so i told him then based on the video, speeding on the 1st lane is enough to prove him wrong, now they escalate up to violation team already, without the need of my absence in courts if need to.Alamak, like that LTA surely will drop your case and let the driver go scott free!

dear ppl..just to ask..can a in-car video recorder record any collisions that occur at the side of the car (eg. a car bangs into my car

from the side)...also...am i right to say that the recorder will not be able to record if a car rear-ends mine? in this case..is there any recorder in the market that is available to serve this purpose?
Fix another cam at the back windscreen to records rear end accidents la.
As for side impact, its difficult liao. But yr front cam or back cam can prove the position of yr car (not reckless swerving left or right, not cutting sudden into another car"s lane)

Heard alot of good review for DOD product... i'm particularly interested in those model which have a screen, at least if accidentally adjusted it, i can still put it back to the right position immediately.

1) For day recording, they are great. But for nite, they cannot be compared to the current models.
2) For these two models they have a problem with some cars when set to auto start when u start engine. U have to immediately start ur car once u insert ur car key. If u turn to ACC 1st and then start ur car, the camera will detect as two different power pulses thus, at ACC it will turn on n when engine start, it will shut down.
Other than these two points, they are great car cams.

Actually I also have same query as yours.. I asked my regular car accessories shop if they do this, and they said yes..
Install the cams in the side mirrors, and hook up to a 2 channel recorder.. But the costs is ex.. about 600 if I'm not wrong, and its only 640 x480 (VGA) resolution.. Think they using the reverse cameras to fix up, maybe.
i have the front and rear cams fixed and they're wide enuf to capture rear end and front cut ins.. but I also worry the side impacts, esp those who switch lanes without looking at the blindspot or turn after just signalling. these can't capture..
A work around in this case is to use the front and rear cams as evidence you kept to your lane and did not swerve anyhow, and its him/her who cut into your lane abruptly and banged into you.. but this is circumstantial and need to have pictures taken of the side damage and the surrounding areas to substantiate this claim lo.
Some bros have mentioned this here too and I agree with them.. some also install another cam on the dashboard and face backwards... I feel this just captures some of the side views and not completely the outside side view...
So I still waiting for the good side cams / recorder set to come online n not too ex to install.. Then i hoot liao....

wow. i had a near miss with a car in front before. I wasn't able to stop like the car in the vid as the abs was activated. Lucky the car in front moved forward and i was saved.

Bro, the one behind u travelling very fast.. Can see u brake, he closing in rapidly.. The one behind him also very fast.. This is an example of safety distance very impt..
