    Hi Shochong,

Can PM the price for ITB 1000 & FineVu 300? also, both sets, can be fix on the windscreen using the 3M stick on is it? i dont like the suction type cos too big, yet at the same time, not sure if the 3M sticker will damage the car window film or not?

the recent Farlalee and taxi case, kinda make up my mind to invest on a good set.

    thanks

Why pay so much ? I hunted around in the past too.
Finally got an TF500 S$ 99 with good quality & clear view of full HD and night vision, motion detection it included ann 8 GB SD Card. Purchased one in Jan 2012 & this week just purchased another one for my company vehicle (better to be safe than sorry) - I'm an user NOT representing any dealer / distributor.

Any links to the product/sample videos? Did a search on TF500 but couldn't find any info.

    HELP!! I broke 3 DRS1100's :(

    Hi everyone,
I'm at my wits end here. I have a few Xdriven (UB1/UBone.co.kr) DRS1100 recorders. One seemed to stop working and I suspected it to be the SD card but I decided to do a firmware update at the same time. I put this firmware on it: http://www.ubone.co....g...rd=&s_word=

I formatted the SD card and put the .bin file on it, turned on the DRS1100 and the lights illuminated and then went off immediately and nothing else came on. Nothing happened with the SD card, and now it seems like it's not working at all. Because there was a problem with that DRS1100, I decided to try the same sd card on two more and the same thing happened to them both. So now I've potentially 3 broken DRS1100 :(

The only reassurance I have is that I seem to remember the very first one I got, I think I had a similar problem which I eventually fixed, I just have absolutely no recollection of how.

I've tried 3 different SD cards and it's the same thing. I've tried an SD card which is from a DRS1100 which is still working fine, but the .bin file on it and nothing different happened as to when I put the .bin file on formatted SD cards, from 2GB to 4GB. Same thing, both lights come on when I plug it in, then nothing happens until I plug it out again, where the two lights flick illuminate and then fade out.

    No beeping, no flashing, nothing.

Please, if anyone can help I'd greatly greatly appreciate it!

All units are DRS1100 as stated on the sticker on the unit, doesn't mention PRO on the sticker..

    Just a little feedback:

It's a little hard to release and tighten the locking knob on the Itonics ITB-100HD if the hand is too big/fat like mine. A slot for flat head screwdriver will be nice.

Just changed my cam to ITB-100HD from BV...able to make use of my current Powermagic and connection from BV so no need to re-wire. Below is both day and night sample. Quality for day is better than BV ( my opinion) and night is comparable so I am satisfied with it. So far so good in terms of heat but need to run for a few days to confirm. Software wise, I would prefer BV as it has more flexibility in the shock sensor control compared to Itronics. Of course there's no speech from the "lady" anymore....

    Remember to select HQ quality:

Just changed my cam to ITB-100HD from BV...able to make use of my current Powermagic and connection from BV so no need to re-wire. Below is both day and night sample. Quality for day is better than BV ( my opinion) and night is comparable so I am satisfied with it. So far so good in terms of heat but need to run for a few days to confirm. Software wise, I would prefer BV as it has more flexibility in the shock sensor control compared to Itronics. Of course there's no speech from the "lady" anymore....

Never use Finevue so cant compare with it but comparing ITB and BV, ITB is straight forward without the bells and whistles...just one button to turn mic on/off..no colorful LED lights...just one tiny red/green light to indicate its recording...

DRS1100 is an old product already, time to upgrade to better resolution ones.

I have the DRS1100PRO and have kept it in the store room long ago. I did not encounter any problems for my unit at all. Just format the SD card n insert into the unit. No problems during my two years usage.

U should use their player to playback the video to filter according to categories.
1min block is good in the sense that u will be able to retain a larger archive if it starts to overwrite incase important evidence is within the overwritten portion. happy.gif

Hi bro, normally we do not remove the unit after fixing up, tight is better than loose to be able to withstand the bounce n impact on the road.
and sorry i dont get u for:
"And i got chided by the boss of Car Beauty Centre for wanting to install the recorder for driving mode only without parking with the 11.8V + 72hrs cutoff."

It doesn't have to be removed all the time. Just that a screw driver is better than using hand in tight spaces.

For the 2nd part, it's a big mess, so I won't further elaborate, but I will discourage people from visiting that workshop in future.

My experience with the workshop: I was quoted a higher price for installing the cam from what bro Xavier said....

    Hmm which workshop bro?
I have 2 appointed workshops. Need your feedback. You can pm me & let me know.
Might be some misunderstanding in the price quotation. So far, i have not received any complains about the installation charges to me personally yet, just once when i forget to inform the additional $8 for the socket, so i absorbed the $8 for that customer.

Guys if u find any changes in the installation fee during the time of setup, please call me to verify with the boss to avoid such complication.
    Otherwise, i wouldnt know...

    Basically here's the installation charges:
    Workshop 1 (Serangoon North):
$30 for japan car to tap directly to battery & conceal wiring.
$50 for conti car to tap directly to battery & conceal wiring.
Used to be $30 for conti car before 16 march, till the recent adjustment of price due to the amount of effort & time spent on the complicated electrical system of conti cars.
    Additional socket: $15

    Workshop 2 (Kakit Bukit):
$30 for japan car to tap directly to battery & conceal wiring without socket.
$38 for japan car to tap directly to battery & conceal wiring with socket.
$38-$50 for conti car to tap directly to battery & conceal wiring with socket.

Please understand that conti car really requires effort & time for installation, so if some workshop are doing at a loss profit at low charges, our next question will be the services provided.

    Thanks!

The real mobilei that is manufactured in Taiwan is the real stuff with 30fps for full hd quality, china replica is only 10fps.

    I don't suppose there's a product out there that's:

    A) A Blackbox (HD recording, g sensor, great quality and all the rest)
    B) A Sat Nav (Garmin/NavTeq Maps and everything else a decent garmin has)
    C) A gps tracker? (Ability to track vehicle online)

I know a smart phone could probably do it all, but would be nice to have a dedicated device always plugged in in the car, would be handy to have a rear view mirror attachment for it too so it's disguised, and the Sat nav screen could be switched off if not in use of course.

For me, I uses Transcend 32GB class 10 SD card. So far, it lasts 2 days before looping.

I uses pretty much default setting :

    Driving Mode
Record Quality: Full HD (1080P) 24fps
    Brightness: Standard
Shock sensitivity: Insensitive (normal too sensitive for my liking)
    Display speed: On

    Parking Mode
    Parking mode: On, Shock-motion sensing
    Shock Sensitivity: Insensitive
    Motion Sensitivity: Insensitive

    General
    Shock-sensing alarm: Off
File deletion method: Deletion by time order

I mount it directly below my mirror. Aligned lens in the middle of windscreen.

    Hope this helps.......

Really? You don't think the processor in a phone could handle all 3 running together? What would be using the most? I guess once the GPS position is locked, it's just a case of mapping a route, recording to the SD card and then sending a location out that can be tracked online. I haven't a clue myself of course, but would be great if such a product was released! Be great for transport companies!

I know the technology for online tracking so far is by a 3G data plan sim card. It will transmit GPS coordinates to the server thru the 3G sim card. If u are thinking of 007, CIA, FBI, etc...... type of GPS tracking, they are not available at the moment.

Just try running the camera on ur phone while driving and have the GPS on at the same time also to direct u to ur destination. I know my Nokia E6 or N8 cant do that.

Thanks again for the reply. Somebody on another forum mentioned the police in the UK seem to have such a system in their cars, but I guess they'd be pricey for sure. I might try GPS and Blackbox apps running at the same time on my HTC Desire and see how it fares. Would be great to have a dedicated device to it though.

I mount it behind the rear mirror..the problem is the glare from the sun..was thinking how to reduce it...
maybe moynt a bit lower will help???

Mine is OPC car..so think parking recording will take up most of the space...

I guess glare cant be help lah...it depends on the time of the day...evening and morning glare...as long as sunlight strikes your dashboard, there will be reflection...
