My DR400G-HD has recently stopped booting fully. It will cycle through all of the leds twice and then sits on purple and does nothing else. No recordings, no sound. :\

I also have a DR300G and when I boot the device w/o a sd-card it throws an alarm, which leaves me to believe the internal bios might be damaged.

    Has anyone experienced this problem?

Hmmm, it seems in HK the distributor of FineVu is able to offer the choice of English and Chinese firmwares. Given the demographic of the society, I think it will be good to have both available so as to reach a wider audience.

I am still waiting for the firmware to be send. If those who have gotten it is willing to share (genuine buyer from Shochong), definitely will be great to have it sooner so I can update it before going to bed tonight.

PM'ed you. Received that same night.

Not sure if you have the channel to feedback or suggest to FineVu or not. I think it will be very useful if the CR-300HD is able to configure 2 separate recording mode for driving and parking.

    Example:

In Driving mode, set the video recording mode to 1080p without binning.
In Parking mode, set the video recording mode to 720p with binning.

To me, I like the less distorted 1080p while driving as in the event the video need to be evidence, the perception of distance, alignment, etc isn't that much distorted as compared to binning mode. But while parked, I would like the video coverage to be wider. So, if the above suggestion is feasible and make available (just like how the frame rate is separate for driving and parking modes).

Itronics ITB100HD has motion detection. For any car dvr, motion detection means during parking when it detects moving objects.
Btw i have checked with Itronics Manufacturer, those units sold in Ebay is not warrant under them as they are sold 'illegally' based on their context, therefore the ebay seller was not able to provide the english firmware as its not supported by Itronics.

the authorised distributor in singapore for blackvue recommends us to put full HD at 15fps to reduce heat, even in parking mode. they claimed that this reduce some amount of heat and recording image remains clear.... anyone try? i see the image at 15fps is acceptable but I did not have any tool to measure temp......

with 15fps & all insensitivity less heat dissipated.

Its not that bad. Delay in between video is there.abt 1-2secs.
Drains a lot of battery cost it use alot of processing power.
And its a hassle to turn on and off. Unless u hook it up to car kit when u dock to car.

Its pretty stable, unless u have incoming call when recording.cos running in background is nit so stable.
So in the end u will be spending quite a bit of money, might as well juz get a delicate one.

Brought and installed two Finevu CR300, one facing the front (behind rear mirror) and one facing the rear at the rear windscreen.

The front facing camera has no problem going into standby mode. The rear facing camera does not go into standby mode.

I swap the front with the rear, and now the front (previous rear) has no problem going into standby mode and the rear (previous front) does not go into standby mode.

Anyone has a similar problem? Don't know if it is the camera or the wiring installation done?

Guess for Finevu CR300, you need to connect to the battery for it power feed? If that the case, will it void some model of brand new car, like Mercedes C180K?
Understand that merz quite particular about the modification or tempting of the car that still under warranty..
in this case, will CR-300 still able to use for merz or any new car that forfeited modification to it car ?

Brought and installed two Finevu CR300, one facing the front (behind rear mirror) and one facing the rear at the rear windscreen.

The front facing camera has no problem going into standby mode. The rear facing camera does not go into standby mode.

I swap the front with the rear, and now the front (previous rear) has no problem going into standby mode and the rear (previous front) does not go into standby mode.

Anyone has a similar problem? Don't know if it is the camera or the wiring installation done?

Hmm bro, this is the first time i heard about this problem, but seems like its mostly cause by the wiring installation. huh.gif

You can just plug and play into the car cigar point like any other car dvr, tapping to battery is only for surveillance, same for any car dvr model:)

try tapping the power source from the IU instead, some conti cars electronic systems will deactivate if they detect any foreign device drawing power.

Try tapping direct from battery with its own fuse n switch. It will bypass all car electronics. No problem with warranty.

    Philip bro,
Remember to click ok to save the timing.
if failed, try updating to the korean firmware then set the time. then when its fixed, update to the english firmware.

u may wanna try kelong your config by setting your pc time earlier/later so that the actual time configured into funevu is compensated.
eg. if finevu is recording 1hr later than the actual time, adjust your pc to 1hr earlier, then save config.

    see if it works..

The Patriot T7 looks like the Papago models. At least you can turn it about and change the view. The Papago just point straight ahead and can't be adjusted. Didn't like that and the miniature CRT TV look. Challenger is still selling the 720 model (latest is 1080 HD) so I guess not many users here.
