    Amazon

Got it when it was even cheaper, US$27 or so. I bought 3, all seem to be working fine.

Most impt is its quality, almost 80%-90% of ICVR we see in market mostly make in china.

Quality and reliability is one big issue, one you use it and tested then you will know.

Some china ICVR looks good, but the lag time sucks big time. It through exp and abit of luck to filter out bad products.

Thanks I checked it out on the weekend.. as I guess must be one of the shop around that corner of Suntec.. Actually I don't think it is too big, but I have no experience with ICVR, I thot it was reasonable size. anyhow at 299 was rather steep when I know I can get it at abt 110SGD on dealextreme, but they are operating a store in Suntec and offering 6mth warranty, so I think it is good for those who want hassle free purchase.

What I like about this cam is that it is hassle free.. basically no setting except date and time. thats it.. just plug in and record..the guy showing me feature was very friendly too, so much so that I felt bad not buying haaa

Just back from Taiwan last nite.

The car cameras have lots of variety!!! Even have the replica of what ZMC is selling at NT$4,900. DOD F500LHD was selling at NT$4,888, F800LHD was selling at NT$5,888 and F900LHD at NT$6,888. Accidents can happen at any time, without notice. As is often the case after an accident, we are disoriented and don't always remember everything just prior to the impact. We may not clearly remember the conditions of the road, weather, and traffic immediately following an accident.
More higher claims for car accidents as reported in the papers. With this device, you will not just save money in case of accident which is not your fault, it will also save you alot headaches.

Lowest price Car Black Box with GPS Tracking & G-Sensor(Made in Korea) in the market now!!! New Replacement model for the highly popular DR-1000!! Prices are close to wholesale price.

    1) Mass Buy Price - Super Low Price(12 mths manufacturers warranty) - Pay for S&H( Shipping & Handling cost) to send back for repair.

    2) Promo Price - Discounted Price (6 mths limited local warranty and 6 mths of manufacturers warranty) - full replacement of set within 6 mths if faulty(if there is existing stock, if not we will send back for repair and no extra charge on you) and from 7 to 12 mths, just pay S&H cost and we will help you send back for repair.

Warranty does not cover owner's negligence, accidental damage, misuse, normal wear & tear.

Advantage of Mass Buy price is that you will get the cheapest wholesale price. Disadvantage is that we will not be liable for any faulty sets. You will need to send back the faulty sets to us and pay a S&H charge and we will help you send the set back to Korea for repair or exchange.

Advantage of Promo price is that you will get 6 mths of limited local warranty. If your set is faulty within 6 mths, we will exchange for you if we have the stocks or help you send back for repair(all charges will be borne by us). Disadvantage is that the price is slightly higher than Mass Buy price.

Please PM or sms me at 96952338 and ask me for pricing. Just indicate which price plan you are interested, Mass Buy or Promo price for DR-3000. For credit card payment, you can pay us by Paypal but all Paypal fees will be borne by you. Thanks.

This is another version of the HD720P. It is a good simple car camera with some basic adjustable functions. Only draw back is the suction cup, just use double tape to secure it and its good to go.

Your class 4 card is by Kingston or Sandisk?
Kingston class 4 is slower than Sandisk class 4.
Best is to use class 10 for video recording.

Strangely, I find that my Class 10 16gb Transcend SDHC has longer pauses between segments than my 2GB Sandisk micro SD card (no speed marking, so assuming its Class 2 or 4) blink.gif

Using CrystalDiskMark speed test, the Class 10 clearly has faster write speeds. But once the cards are full and overwriting starts, the lag for the Class 10 16gb card is 7 secs, compared to 5 secs for the smaller and slower 2gb card using the same settings on the DVR.

Anyone knows how this can be possible ?

The HD720P has more parameters to adjust whereas the milo can size car camera has nothing for u to adjust. Its like an idiot proof car camera. Some may like it and some dont. Daytime recording, both are equally good. But Nite time recording, the milo can size car camera is much much better.

Thatz the thing wif all the car camera I have. Each has a plus point but none has all the plus point. I guess u cant have everything in the world yet. laugh.gif

Wiring my back car cam??? Here is how I do it :
Cig lighter -> between driver n front passenger seats -> back seats -> car camera

Yup, my wire is exposed all the way from cig lighter to car camera. Cos 95% of the time, no one occupies the back seat and I do not look behind the back seat. So why bother to hide the wires. biggrin.gif Direct approach is the best.

I guess u cant have everything in the world yet. laugh.gif

Don get that 1 with LED light at night will reflect off ur windscreen. $118 where you get the price from? I brought mine online been using it for 2 weeks so far so good though the night recording is not as good compare to the milo can. But overall is still good.

BTW the HD720P is made by G.N.D Technology Co. Ltd. I don remember seeing they have a model with LED. You sure that model you are talking about is HD720P? tongue.gif

    Good day

Yes you can go under blackbox setting under software , unclick the buzzer setting , save the file inside the SDcard .
When you place the sdcard back into the camera you will realise that the buzzer sound it gone .

    VGA is 640 x 480
    Mega pixel is 1280 x 960

For longer recording use VGA , for better resolution , use MEGAPIXEL .

If you need anything else , please free free to let us know .

    Hi Guys

I think i recently run into very bad luck,

About 2 weeks back got into a hit and run accident in my HDB Carpark. Although report to police but until now still no update.

In the last 2 weeks i did try to walk around my estate in hope to catch this hit and run car, but sadly until now not able to.

Just this morning when i went to collect my car, it got scratched on all sides from the doors, to the bonet, boot cover, and top.

It is defintely an act of mischief, or maybe got aimed. I will be planning to make a police report later or tomorrow.

I guess i have pretty much made up my mind to get a In Car Camera, which have the following capabilities:
    Front and Rear Camera(I hope it is clear HD, and actually wanted to get a safe bet on this);
Viewing angle i think 120 degrees is a norm right?
    Motion Detection? I think it means movement near by how many metres will cause it to be triggered;
    Battery Operation(Hopefully no need to charge one(As in standby 4hrs that type), and can just use accordingly);
    Primary Function(Survillance only when Car Engine is Off, and not Moving. Good if can get with driving);
    Data Storage (Max up to 3 days will be sufficient, not sure if any models can store so much information);
If can hidden camera is best, as i planned to get this person jia lat, jia lat

I did see the Milo Camera which a brother recommended, and was considering to get it. Only thing is battery charging quite taxing for me.

So i did consider the Caidrox which is way out of my budget. Are there any other recommendations which you guys can help with?

    Would be very much appreciated.

For budget, then do it like wat I did. Get two milo can size car camera and wire it up directly to the car battery thru ur fuse box with a on/off switch. Switch it on and it will be 24/7 surveillience car camera.

But please ensure that u drive ur car every alternate day so that the car camera would not drain the car battery. If you are parking more than two days, just switch it off.

The last time I did it, it cost me S$25 only with switch included. Any car accessory shop is able to do it for you.

Actually wanted to check with you, in my case worst case car would be park for 2 days-3 days(Aka 48hrs).

Actually for the data storage of the milo camera, based on 32GB(The Specs says this is the max capaciity) or 64GB is it able to last that long?

In PC world there might be people who uses an external slim HDD or something like that for storage.

Would you be able to advise how you overcome this?

If you want to record in HD for three days footage, I suggest u get multiple 32G microSD card. Just change the microSD card when its full. Not sure how long a 32G card will last, cos I dont have one. My largest is 16G for my other car camera and it last 36hrs of recording.

Or you change the resolution to VGA, 640x480 resolution. Then one 32G microSD card can record for 3 days I believe so.

Connection to external HDD, this I have not tried.

For me, overnight recording is enough. Once morning, I walk to my car and all is well, the footage can be overwritten. Why keep old footage???

no lah i not plan to keep old footage.

Cos e.g. like in my case, Friday reach home park car, sometimes Sat will not use car. So earlist see car will be sunday.

Estimated like that need 2 days already mah.

16GB for 36hrs is solid, i would assume that 32 GB should last 3 days.

Btw have you come across a power supply add on to support 2 Cameras, in a way no need to worry about Car Battery running out.

Aiya, me also same. Sometime Sat dont go out at all. It is still ok one. But if u Fri reach home and only Mon then drive again, Then better turn off the switch.

I'm not interested in these power supply cos I drive my car almost every other day. No problem for car battery at all. Its been like that for 1yr 3mths already. No dead battery yet, battery was 1yr old when I installed. So now batt is 2yr 3mths already. Mine is MF batt.

SDcard solution is not good enough if you need to record videos for more than 2-3 days. You'll probably need hard-disk solution.

Using Caidrox here. Resolution is only good enough (640x480), not that great (cannot see car plate number well). And even so, one hr of video (front + back) takes up about 1GB. 32GB storage can give you 32 hrs, or 64 hrs if you only need front surveillance.

Bear in mind you'll need a lot more space if you are using HD-capable cameras.

Harddisk solutions will be more appropriate for extended recording.

There is nothing to see. The wires are all hidden by the installer. All u can see is a switch, next to my alarm led indicator, above my coin box and a short wire at top of windscreen connected to the car camera.

Hmmm, bro you got any recommendations if HDD Storage? It's a big problem if the camera can't see the car plate number. It defeats the whole purpose of having 1.

    BTW Adrian,

On the Extreme Web, it says it got motion detection. I am thinking it doesn't in actual.

i heard caidrox cannot record straight to hard disk. in fact, a lot of in-car cameras cannot. Haven't really heard of one that can record straight to hard disk (aka use like webcam).

Yup most in-car cameras cannot record to hard disk. Maybe need to get those hardcore cctv type (i'm not really very familiar with all the models available).
My view is most in-car cameras are good enough for on-the-road recording, where number plate capture not that critical, as long as you can identify the make and model of car, and most importantly how the accident happened.
For surveillance, its a different story altogether.

It will be a problem to use hard disk due to the size (and maybe power required) anyway. Being a mechanical device, vibrations (and heat) can also kill a hard disk easily, unless we are talking about SSD hard disks that are quite expensive at the moment.
Even if use cctv type, i'll be worried about car battery drainage.

    Hi Guys,

I just came back from viewing my friend's car. I saw how the Caidrox works, function wise is not bad.

However have the same problem with viewing of car plate numbers via a computer. Accuracy will require individual's eye capability, as in it really depends if you are lucky enough to see. Best price so far with installation of a front and back comes close to about 500. Per 1GB on SD Card can last about 1hr of recording, and max up to 32hrs assuming 32GB which this model can support. Auto Battery cut off when car not in used for 2 days/ 3 days or more.

I guess most likely i would go for the Milo style located here.

    http://www.dealextre...3557?r=16222746

The only current concern i have is on the capacity of the SD Card or memory storage it can hold. I'm not sure how it works, but in Caidrox it has a looping function dependent on your SD Card capacity. I would guess it's the same for the "Milo version". Probably need help from Adrain to confirm.

My friend did say that ZMC have another model which i believed is the H720 or something like that which can last up to 64GB, and clearer resolution then the Caidrox. Maybe ZMC can help on this.

Wow what trigger this type of revenge sort of scratching on your car? For some itchy hand to scratch around your car, most of the time is quote personal, either u offended some really petty fellow or its done by yr sworn enemy.

In 2005, my car was scratch by a petty fellow over over a case of parking lot misunderstanding.. n it was only a 40cm scratch by his car key.. n this fellow was caught by me n warned by police only. So yr case of this type of scratches must be those vengeful ttype. I think even if u catch him using the cam recording, there is not much within the law which you can do.. unless you are some white horse, men in white.. else i suggest u try to make peace with the person u suspect or let your suspect have a taste of his own medicine

Actually last night i again went to the scene of the crime, and analayse the series of events which happens and looking at surrounding.

I am almost quite confident to conclude that is not I sway sway gena this. It is a "purposedly" done case, with the risk and level of exposure level.

I actually had a few friends whom work as Police Officers during NS Time, and i was told this morning that if i caught this fella the next time it happened on my camera, it would only be classified as a case of mischief. So in a way, i can't make this person pay for the damages, but government will fine him. Unless i can catch him twice then i can do a civil law suit. This is definetly not sue for the sake of sue, but need to make people learn lessons.

I did went to a workshop earlier to access damages, in basic almost the entire car need to be resparay which comes to about 1.2-1.5k. Seriously jaw drop.

    Damages done:
    4 Doors, Bonnet, Boot, Top

I am sadden to hear this, victim gena panariod like hell, and own self pay tons of moeny on damage. Some people sit down there wait for me to come and report and collect money.

The only current concern i have is on the capacity of the SD Card or memory storage it can hold. I'm not sure how it works, but in Caidrox it has a looping function dependent on your SD Card capacity. I would guess it's the same for the "Milo version". Probably need help from Adrain to confirm.

This car camera has auto-loop function. No worries at all, it will auto overwrite when memory card is full. This is basically a fuss-free car camera. Nothing much for you to adjust.

Doing it my way, save $$$. Somemore it is recorded in HD or u can select to record in VGA.

Sorry to disturb again, is this milo verison using the SD Card or Micro SD? If SD Card, not sure if SDHC can be used?

My friend did say that ZMC have another model which i believed is the H720 or something like that which can last up to 64GB, and clearer resolution then the Caidrox. Maybe ZMC can help on this.

    Good day

Yes we do have alot of driving recorders for you to choose from , you can always head by our showroom and take a look with no obligations .
We deal with thousands of cases of car cameras, be it vandalism , sabotage or accidents , and we will share our experience with you not based on just one incident . So definitely you can count on our expertise to find something that suits you .
Please note that for HD720p there is also 2 variants , one is PROCESSED , but the other is a true 720p .

Harddisk recording was not recommended for a long time , we used to be playing with a few variants of it , but the downfall was the instablity , reason due to HDD not being able o take bumpy roads , so manufacturers try their best to make fanciful mountings to kurb with this problem. But by far , SDcard recording is still known to be the best , as it is compact and stable .

thanks guys for your great support in the recent years biggrin.gif

    Hi ZMC,

    A feedback for u.

Went for installation of the cd3000 about 2 weeks back. Last week when I was cleaning up the car interior, I found excess wiring tangling out in the open at 3 locations. First place near my foot parking brake, 2nd place at the bottom panel at the front passenger seat. 3rd place at the top side panel of my 3rd row seat. It is disappointing to b seeing such workmanship.

Admit that I m negligent as I only checked the car exterior after the installation.

Hope u can syn the installation standards of your tech for your future customers.

i feel that the supervisor has to check the workmanship of the workers before the customer drive off with the car.
if that is not done, your customers have to come back a 2nd time to rectify the issues. its really wasting people petrol and $$$.

considering the Black Vue and the DOD GS300. Looking for a slick small, in car camera . The BV looks good while the DOD has Full HD. Anyone did a comparison of the 2? Price wise both are quite competitive.

    Tks.
