Good news is he is in contention to start for Germany against France because of injuries to German midfield. That means he can kelong to bring Germany out of euros and finally go for holiday

I think he was shocked at how the players played so badly. I bet he didnt expect them to be so poor, especially on a major cup final. The Uefa cup final itself is more than enough motivation for the players to perform but somehow they let everyone down. We will definitely sign a left back as there is no proper alternative for Moreno. Flano and Clyne can cover but it is not enough, especially if there is plan to let smith go out on loan. You asked a good question. Why sign Mane and Wijnaldum? For Mane I feel it is because he can score goals from flanks and he has pace and that will be crucial in transition and counter attack.�

Not sure with the influx of new signings, how will LFC fared in the upcoming season. Not fanfare, no well known signings but some are real exciting additions. Speed and mobility seems to be what Klopp is looking for when deciding who to sign although availability and willingness to cross over is also very much of a concern.

As in past seasons, I believe that most of our signings (whether they are known good players or not) are good footballers. Question is whether they can play well as a team. Gelling them in with our current crop will be the test but in Klopp, I trust.

I have nothing against BR. I thought he did reasonably ok in the beginning but with the departures of LS and RS, it just became too much for him to handle.

Stewart. He also created the chance for origi to score.
Good win, a clean sheet and an overall Good team display.
Pressing was very good and intense.
Though Barca have their moments, the defence was ok, to be expected given their firepower upfront.
Mane looks like justifying his big transfer fee ( tho in the current inflated environment, looks ok)
Overall the boys look sharp and fit, and not going to miss DS too much.

Barcelona's passing is still slick, esp 1st half whereby once we allow them back to their passing game, they could easily slice the defence with those through passess.

I would say that after starting the game in the first 5-8 mins, we gave Barcelona no room to play their football.

What i observed as improvements in our game �- faster releasing of the ball (preferably one-touch) once we regain any possession that can cause the opponent to be off-guard.

Pool can agree to have a call back in the Jan window but problem is the club loaning the player might not agree cos it's disruptive to them so they might not want to loan him if there's too much restrictions.
So most times, it's a season long loan at least so can't call back.

i think loaning Flanno out its good. he is not first choice in both FB positions. and full backs are usually the last to be sub out to change tactics as most can play wing backs.

flanno after his injury nightmare, is a little too slow and ponderous on his return, need more first team football. with the clause of min 75% games for loanees, it gurantee him game time to rediscover his form. it was painful watching wingers getting past him easily last season.
