Most likely due to lack of depth in the squad as players get injured, suspended or NMF. Also the morale will also affect the performance so you might want to rest some players who are have low morale.

the other formation i tried and tested with good effects is 3-5-2 not in mcf league but other team in the same user name. takumi can go check it out if u want. cuz its man utd also. past few matches e effects quite good.
