With a third of the season already past us, lets take a review at all the
players and compile a Top 5 Best performers to date.
1. Gonzalo Higuain
The arge has gotten 8 goals (11 starts) for his team Real Madrid and
currently leads the charts in avg rating (8.46) We are aware there are
many galaticos in RM, but he has excelled in the CF role and continued to
bag the goals. Although there are some reviews that Higuain needs to
improve on his conversion rate, the sky's the limit as long as he keeps
fit and cuts down on the wastefulness in front of goal.

2. Alberto Giladino
The only reason why Fiorentina is in the top 4 fighting is mainly down to
the 28y/o italian. Frozen and outcasted by his former team AC Milan, the
move back to the Violas have recharged the deadly frontman. Tied on the
scoring charts with 10 goals, Alberto has credited his return to form on
his fellow young teamates which include Jovetic, Lavezzi & Montolivo who
share the assists. If he can continue his powress, im sure the Violas
will be a black horse for the top spots.

3. Fernando Torres
Before his move from Liverpool to arch rivals Chelsea, the spaniard was
suffering a goal drought. There has been no such issues once owner
Roman's vast fortune made sure he has his marque signing. Torres has
taken to his new team like a duck to water and his 10goals & 6 assists
are both top notch. "Form is temporary but class is permanent" will
definitely summarise his quality and Chelsea will be looking for "El
Nino" to shoulder the team's title hopes.

4. Steven Gerrard
Captain Marvel some say he is, for me i feel he is the heart and soul of
the team. Without Gerrard to pull the strings in the heart of midfield,
to power on his mates, Liverpool will never be the same. For some strange
reason, his performances for country pale in comparison for club. Steven
has 8goals & 2assists and the Reds' title hopes rest on him and his
increasingly fragile hamstrings & groin. I hope they have got the best
physios & surgeons in their team. *touch wood!!

Consistent displays combined with samba flair are always a joy to watch
and many neutrals are convinced Love will be a hit sooner than later. The
brazilian has the same number of goals as assists -7 and hopes his
performances have gotten the talent scouts attention. Although he is
committed to CSKA with a new 4 year deal, Love has made no secret of his
desire to move to greener pastures such as spanish or italian teams. The
only drawback to his dream? - the unpredictability and inconsistency of
samba flair

Oh. btw, Mancini won the Serie A with Inter so he cannot be that bad. The managers coming to EPL is like the players, not all are suitable for EPL e.g Veron, Forlan, Shevchenko etc.
Main problem for Citeh is the group of rather slightly above average players (90-92 in SM terms) they bought at inflated prices. They need 2-3 superstar level players to bring them up to the next level but it is easier said than done.
