If really want to speed and try your driving skill, drive up to Sepang like many other rich Singaporeans in their fast cars do and do all you want on the racing circuit. Just don't put other innocent road user's lives at risk for a cheap thrill.

How many of you have NEVER exceeded the speed limit before? Don't say 'but not by that much'. Every condition/scenario/road/car is different and you can drive dangerously even when under the limit.

I happen to get the chance to test drive a few power car before( not mine, belong to my rich relative ).for bentley no chance to whack til 200 lah hah, but cruising at 100-110 along highway definitely different from other car. I guess the weight and superb sound proofing plays a part. The raw power of these monster seriously u dont have to step alot to hit those speed. even on my mark X, heavy throttle abit the car very eager to climb, unlike my previous 1.6 car where i really must zham the pedal to overtake sometimes

Correction: Going 200+ would be safer on SG highway (based on the engineering and road surface) *if* most Singaporeans knew how to bloody drive properly and considerately.

When I'm going 200+ on NS h'way with my headlights (not high-beams) on and my right turn indicator on, I know that there's only a very small chance that �someone is going to barge into my lane. That's a calculated risk. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for Sillypore drivers.

Actually the police just saved the driver and passenger. Just that they dunno only and will never appreciate it.

not really le. i drove the continental gt super speed ... man i hated that car. it felt like i was driving a really slow boat.

the best part was when i attempted to change gears myself using the flappy paddles (they were more like 2 chopsticks tbh) and i was immediately told that "one shouldnt change the gears themselves" .. i was like ... wtf?? even for a superspeed, the door was extremely heavy ... had to really give the door a good yank to close (guess i have to hire a butler to close the door next time lah).

but it sure as hell didnt accelerate that fast or feel that fun to drive .. at all. i was actually pretty disappointed by the handling and the gear changes. bringing it up to 90/100 was easy, but the car was heavy and required a lot more concentration than i anticipated.

About the same experience I had with an E55 AMG a few years back. Maybe the Merc was slightly better, but still "fast but lumbering ship" was the metaphor that came to mind.

With such huge power under the pedal, i guess the driver really has to tip-toe unless he's driving on open roads with little traffic around [sweatdrop] ............ this brings us to the point that in places like SPG, such cars have a life of a rhino locked up in a cage [:(]

"eh .. his daughter so chio ah" ... and the distributor looks at me, smiles and says thats his date for the evening ... my jaw almost drop. if i can rate the girl 11/10 ..i would probably have (but i think the makeup + hair + dress had a lot to do with my scoring ... haha)

Sorry to the Audi driver at SLE at around 10 am yesterday. I was the Gen2 that undertook you at 90km/hr as you left a yawning gap between your car and the front car and due to the speed camera! I was in a hurry as my son was in the AnE of SGH due to an accident. I unreservedly apologised making you slow down further as i aggressively undertook you at 90km/hr on the 1st lane and most probably cause you to brake!

serious lar.....doctor says he had concussion and contusion to his temple. Was under observation from Monday 11pm till 5pm yesterday! Now he is at home resting and can see he is under a bit of shock. He had temporary memory loss initially! We are monitoring him to see any behavioral change!

I also dunno how they work. The only driver that I know tell me that he got to keep a log book of what he spent on the cashcard and mileage of where he drove to. Then the owner will do spot checks occasionally.�

4 vehicles-chain cum Hit N Run accident happened along Jurong Town Hall Road (towards Jurong East) On Friday, 31 Jul 15, 4.35pm.

White Honda Odyssey SGS9728S collided with a Yamaha Scouter, flinging the rider to the floor, before colliding with another grey Honda car. The Honda spinned, crashed into the railing and ended up on the opposite road.�

Due to the impact, the grey Honda car also crashed into another Toyota Van in front.

White Honda driver fleed the scene, leaving the car in the middle of road, without attending to the injured biker and checking out the car and van involved in the accident.�

I think its ok if she does it safely? Based on the DIPS, only reversing unnecessarily on the expressway is an offence. Never mention about reversing anywhere else. It didn't look reckless to me since there were no cars behind her at all.

SINGAPORE - Eight vehicles were involved in an accident that occurred along Simei Ave on Tuesday Morning.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they received a call at about 8.55am and confirmed that the accident happened opposite ITE College East this morning. One ambulance was despatched.

According to The Straits Times, a young man was spotted running away from the accident scene. He was wearing T-shirt and shorts and is believed to be one of the drivers involved in the accident.

I think he using phone while driving. Probably texting while at the lights lo. Notice his brake lights still on for a long time when the lights turn green so shouldn't be the start-stop problem.

Years back they rode scooters and often fell due to the smaller wheels easily tripped by potholes along the routes.

Somehow I believe they would buy themselves yet another car if forfeited their vehicles. So the fine is more like paying a compliment to them. Should provide a dedicated speed trial route along Ubin Island or Semakau.

one bmw yesterday keep giving me the "look", keep swerving through traffic ... trying to get ahead ... want to show his swerving / change lane skill (ie lane 2 go to lane 4, then suddenly switch back lane 1 with low/moderate traffic). the worse part is ... we were going the same direction, and i think i pissed him off even more cos i drive like tortoise and still catch up to him at 5 or 6 different traffic lights ... lol

It seems they go out of their way to catch people who speed in a relatively safe way while largely ignoring offences (not just speeding) in more congested locations where enforcement might actually make more of a difference to public safety.

That's why I privately disparage TP and (especially) LTA white ants as RGOs. Revenue Generation Officers. Because that's a truer reflection of their overarching purpose.

If they allowed a race track, even a small one with a quarter mile straight (with breaking distance), then there would be no excuse at all for speeding and they can be as fascistically strict as they want. And don't give me that lame excuse about land area. Scrap a couple of stupid golf courses and let the old fogey Mini Stars do without their doddering excuse for a sport for a change. [rolleyes]

Almost got hit by a young lady driver in a RX8 while crossing road at junction next to Capital Tower. Green man came on and a group of us started crossing, halfway through I saw a car approaching at almost 70km/h and it made a turn towards us. She jam brake just 2 feet away from us pedestrians. Stooped down and gazed at her, she looked away. After the last pedestrian crossed, she drove off at breakneck speed, horning away like crazy. . . From video cannot really tell leh. Cuz he could have crossed the line before red also and the car turning right too eager to turn. Not alert at all.

in terms of causality, if nobody cheong red light then no matter how incompetant the u-turn/right-turn is also won't have accident. �cheong red light is the most evil of all traffic offences as it can result in the most devastating consequences. hope you can become the witness and ensure the culprit (who as usual will say he didn't see it's red light or brakes not working) receive his due punishment.

Well at least� with their budget, they did not choose to send their TP officers for army scout/sniper training for better camouflage.

Actually this sort of deserted road, practically no other vehicles, no pedestrians, why the fark do they really care if one speeds?

It seems they go out of their way to catch people who speed in a relatively safe way while largely ignoring offences (not just speeding) in more congested locations where enforcement might actually make more of a difference to public safety.

That's why I privately disparage TP and (especially) LTA white ants as RGOs. Revenue Generation Officers. Because that's a truer reflection of their overarching purpose.

If they allowed a race track, even a small one with a quarter mile straight (with breaking distance), then there would be no excuse at all for speeding and they can be as fascistically strict as they want. And don't give me that lame excuse about land area. Scrap a couple of stupid golf courses and let the old fogey Mini Stars do without their doddering excuse for a sport for a change.

They allow a race track, but no one wants to pay for it. Those who want to race either go PG or a proper track. SGP? Where got fun?

If we complain some more, be prepared to see even more of such Speed Deterring Sentinels on our roads.

Not star wars lah. The military have such system long ago liao. Can track multiple targets at the same time. Saw it in operation before. Then assign each target fren or foe status.

Reminds me of an incident when I accelerate from slip road to join AYE on a clear Sunday afternoon. minimum traffic.

From left most lane I accelerate to the 1st lane to hit 95kph and maintain. Next thing I know a TP rex came up next to me �and signal me to pull over. I did as instructed, and when I meet up with the TP, he has his rookie NSF attached with him. Claims that I am speeding and driving dangerously. I told him I merely accelerated to speed limit and I checked for traffic before moving across each lane and I was not even weaving the traffic, just straight accelerate check accelerate check..... He seem to be unable to come up with anything concrete to counter my explanation but to save face in front of his rookie tag on, he insisted the acceleration is dangerous and proceed to take down my details and ask me to wait for the TP letter. The letter never come. [:p]

Maybe he hit his quota for the month, but then again, even if it comes, I will appeal all the way to MP if needed. :a-shoot:

it is not the accuracy, rather the reliability and consistency of the positioning in relation to the varied surrounding.

Drone fly at higher elevation usually clear of overhead obstruction and buildings. GPS reception is unlikely to be affected.

My contention is also that of information tracking. In your drone and in car GPS units, the information of the position is stored in our device. No one else will know where you have been unless they switch on your device history.
