Nissan QashQai 2014 Part 2 part 24

  • 19 August 2016 - 11:52 PM
    Wooks

Went to TC, they told me is engine mounting. Tester claimed that TC will change the it and told adviser straight to order it. I highlighted that is only 1 week, how could be engine mounting? Seems like the tester is a sub-con and adviser may take kopi from them. It would be more acceptable if they claim some lubrication could resolve it. :TT_TT:

After reverse and brake, no sound leh...

I went to bukit timah instead. The "click-clock" sound from engine compartment was eliminated after greasing the gearbox mounting.

I have been driving the qashqai 1.2 turbo since June , just wandering while driving when do you feel that the turbo kicks in.... There is no button or gear to check if turbo works etc. What's the feel?

Any good SE to recommend? Please pm me. Saw at the vezel forum. Someone bought at $107 guaranteed coe and free 3 years servicing package and the standard freebies.

If this is the premium model. It's not bad.

Hi guys, I just put the deposit for the QQ 1.2T. Hope to learn from about the car from all the experience experts here.

Not sure if I will finally be able to get the car since the COE is a 8 bid non-guranteed purchase. Read that some brothers here have some bad experience with the COE bids by TC.

    Hi

To the best of my knowledge, turbo is always there, just that at 1750rpm, it achieves its maximum torque.

    Hi everyone, I'm Joe

I had been reading quite abit on tis forum for the pass few months before deciding on which car to go for. I must say thanks to all your reviews & comments here.

Nevertheless after years of afair with my latio, I've now learn why most old timers still prefer a nissan. Not tat their stylish nor fast but mostly i guess it's not much of a problem throughout the years despite the normal wear n tear, FC was ok and it seems pretty reliable.

Well there's many likes and dislikes on the qashqai which brings down to each individual liking i guess. Anyway here's my half bucket England of comments hopefully not too long of a share story!

    Here it goes....
I'm not really a car person but oh well it's time for a change on my 4 wheelers as my paper life comes towards it's edge. Conti was on my mind if the bill fits. Price, service/warranty, fuel economy and durability were considerable priority. Took me a few months of exploring research and test drv tat it came to my understand of something rather unusual.

Despite the bigger cc engine in most Europe cars. Almost all makers are coming out or u may say down with a smaller CC engin, some with light assisted turbo. Some weighing almost 1.3 to 1.5 tonne or more, and some with a crazy 3 cylinders??? My goodness! Isn't tat back to the future? Remember tat famous 1.3 rotary engine with twin turbo! Lol! Lots of problem but still people want it! Eco seems tobe the inn thing rite now as fuel is becoming more on the hi side.

SUV wasn't in my list as I've driven one previously and it has a bad drinking problem which u can't possibly imagine. I could buy a new paystation every month just on my patrol bill alone lol! I was thinking if u were to do sales dont get a SUV ha!

Soon after my mindset had completely changed.
Almost all are going for eco mode. Power, yes! Fuel economy, yes!, durability?, well hopefully yes! Mostly for me, not much of a long distance driving in SG unless i hit Malaysia for a getaway.

I've driven many makers of cars over the years, somehow they have their own individual style and quality and it's very subjective. Bad reviews mostly on common problems, glitches here and there, the more serious once with someother new cars. I've been in and seen through it before, seriously it's much worst which will make your days trun into a never-ending black.

As my decision scale down, reading all the reviews and comments here n there, still having some doubt, keeping my fingers crossed! I've decided to stick my trust back to nissan again.

Yes! "Qashqai" the only Q'Q' without the chery on top and it's English made. Yes I've brought it! My first or u may say second elephant but tis time it's powered by a 1.2 turbo engine instead of a 2L. Anyway i love the 2L QQ too but did u guys see a cute Little intercooler on the 1.2? Did i see wrongly?!? It's not light assist for sure lol!

Most turbo cars hv leck i must say.. But then adding a super charger may seems over killing for the 1.2 cvt, it's really not tat much of a leck and It takes awhile getting use to after my first few days of driving. If u were to ask me how's my feeling? I would say.... I'm relief.....contended....and loving it more each day....!

    (I'm relief)
I'm a heavy footed old man lol! Love to launch and be up front during a traffic stop. Very bad habits maybe because i ride too. Even then, not looking at the papers. The 1.2 have a decent FC for me.

I'm not comparing it with other makers but lets just do it with my old latio. QQ has a 55l tank which i think it's 10l or 15l more compare to latio & so in real life it should be fetching more km. And yes it did on my first fill up, not to say doing lots of engine idling for the first few days trying to figure out my way with all the alien function and buttons around my cockpit lol!

    (I'm contended)
Sound proofing was decent... the stock Head Unit sounds better then i aspected to my surprise, but the horn sound..., the sound is really been block i guess wahaha.... At first when i sound off my horn, i was like saying to myself... goodness me... How can i possibly be the king! I must change it for sure. But soon after i decided not to... Why? Actually I've try to sound it off with my doors open standing outside beside my car...
It's nice and loud with abit of light base .... Not those irritating Sharp horn, it's really a nice sound. The British had done a nice job on the fire wall i must say. If i were to do I'll Probably install another killer horn with a additional button.

    (Loving it)
Have u guys try driving the car on a normal mode? I mean eco off! Start stop off!... Disengage the pedal assist! Switch to manual mode if you wish! Turn on tat power aggressive driving style! Oh wow! Oh wow...! Not the rex tat u want but a decent enough punch to catch some nasties and it'll definitely put a big smile for sure. Do note turbocharged runs alot more warmer so try doing it on a cooler days since we don't get snow here.

Oh well.... Thanks for reading my bad England guys, like some saying... know very little but talk alot. Hope i won't bore anyone.... Ok ok will catch up soon and u guys Keep up with the comments n review ya! It helps! Especially on the DIY part! Where to get tis where to get tat! Really love reading it on my free time.

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the heads up!

Do they run a dedicated wire from your battery and use the supplied relay, or take the easy way out by connecting to the fuse box? Because if they do it the proper way, that seems really cheap to me, so thumbs up for that.

    Hi

    1. Anyone knows what engine are we using for 1.2T? Model no.??

    2. Anyone install shark fin antenna? I mean a reasonably good one that has good reception. I read some forum claiming if one knows about analog signals, size does matter ie. the longer the antenna, the better the signal. At first it seems to make sense (eg. military antenna are pretty long but these are very old eqpt!!) but given modern technology, I've sat in a friend's conti car with shark fin antenna, the signal is pretty good along the entire stretch of NS highway in M'sia!! Of cse not S'pore stations all the way (altho still can receive pretty clearly far up north) but all local stations in M'sia can be clearly received. Not sure if conti cars are using digital shark fin hence the reception is stronger???

    3. Anyone knows how long the battery for our remote key last?

Hi Linbo, please share if it works... cos the User Manual says "the map from internet is not compatible with our HU". Any chance you register with Galactio (based on the web address on the CD)? If registered that means we can download maps ourselves?

Getting the map and uploading onto a GPS (be it Garmin, Tom Tom, Marbello, etc.) is so easy these days and if we could do it ourselves, it's so much more convenient for drivers!! Quite silly to have to go back to TC for such trivial things and it's a waste of resources both from drivers and TC!

Haha... Ok... But wait the coe drop we are at a disadvantage.

    Hi bro, u bought the 1.2T at $101K or $108K ?

Bought the premium one not the lite. Cause the 5 year warranty is a better option. Got it $106. But freebies not as good as what some of them got in the forum.

    Interest rate is high 2.78%

Honda is very cheap around 2.1~%

What freebies? Front and back camera? Is it 5 year service? 5 year warranty is standard. The service 5 years is a good offer. I think this round Coe might go up seeing the number of booking at Toyota, Nissan and Honda. Then maybe 2 months to drop?

    WISH is a good choice.
It is so versatile in term of seating capacity and cargo space.
No nonsense car with good FC, Juz that it's near the end of it product life cycle. The gadgets we got in Qashqai cannot be found in WISH. Then again, is a totally different kind of platform to compare.

    Hi

    1. If I am not wrong, our 1.2T engine is HRA2DDT.

    2. My SE installed for me. I understand the stock screw-on antennae is removed and the based covered with just a piece of plastic shark fin. stuck onto the surface of the car roof. On the basis that the screw-on antennae is supposed to make reception better, I would think the shark fin antennae can only be worse, not better. Indeed my radio reception is horrible. Certainly, the shark fin antennae will not improve reception unless you got one that has special wiring for improving reception.

    3. Dunno but based on my previous cars, should be few years, and the batteries can be easily changed.

Does anybody here encounter the child locks auto disengage after a few times you open the door?

I noticed that the child lock moved from locked position to unlocked position after a few times. My son managed to open the door while the car is moving and luckily I was just moving out from the car park and manage to stop the car and locked the door again.

So now every time before I closed the door I double check the child lock is in the engage position. Gonna report this to TC when I send my car for 1K service.

An update to the child lock auto disengage issue. Went for my 5K servicing few days back and TC change the lock assembly for the rear passenger door where i put my child seat in. Still don't want to try my luck and using a scotch tape to secure the latch. For bro/sis who has this issue, can ask for a lock assembly change as well.

    Good morning fellow QQ owners

this is my first post on this forum.

but i have been following you guys for sometime and have to say there is a lot interesting and useful nuggets of info. Nice to see that.

i have some questions that i need help with.

    1. throttle controller

done some research and there seems to be 2 that are suggested for the QQ - pivot (3 drive flat i think) and racechip (response control).

anyone using either of this ? what is the feedback on these 2 products?

Is there noticeable ride improvement if i am a more heavy footed type driver ?

How easy is the manual installation?

any issue with TC warranty on this ?

    2. Guniang Horn - yikes

living with the horn for almost a year. its time to change. even told by my little nephew that it sounds weird.

looking for sort of deep sounding type horn. Any recommendations?

any issue with TC warranty on this ?

    3. terra brown seats issue

small short threads seem to be appearing from the little holes on the seat. like sprouting tougeh!

    anyone facing similar issue?

apologies if some of these questions have been raised before. feedback and responses most appreciated.

thanks and have a good friday.

Bro, pivot flat connect to OBD. Racechip ethrottle connects to throttle control. Different connection and sames function. Improve acceleration. Pivot looks nicer with display while racechip ethrottle with buttons only. It is a must to improve acceleration for heavy footed driver.

No issues with TC on warranty. Just leave it there...

For horns, go asetmod and try la.... they have a few types and not sure now. Please check with them.

Paiseh on the seats issues as mine is black but I dont faced any issues even my QQ is 1 year old now.

All packages are not including CVT fluid change. If you want it cost you $198.

I did ask SA, he told me according to the service manual, it only need to change when u reach 100,000km.

100k most of us already out of warranty, if the gearbox need to replace or overhaul that mean you need to pay from your pocket.

Ah ha, I will change the fluid every 20K and it might save me few thousand to change or overhaul the CVT box.

For those who still believe what they suggest and prepare to change only when the mileage reach 100K.

    Then good luck to you.

NPMP by right should include all. Is not really attractive for $1400++ as a package. Of course by left they can do anything they want. We only LL have to go back to them becos of warranty and their so call 'expertise'. Was at Ubi for servicing, SA seems like do not equip with the basic knowledge of the cars that they're servicing. Location of aircon filter, they need to hunt up and down, ask what model they carry for Bridgestone tyres, they also dunno. Really suck thumb.

Just passed 1k servicing, when should be a good time to sign up?

You can sign up after your free servicing depending if you're free till 10k or 50k. Can use DUO pts to offset a small amount but need to print and present them with your voucher. Ubi service centre quite rigid regarding this. Don't understand why they make it so troublesome to make such a simple redemption.

BT is more flexible on DUO redemption.

    Hi Pocy,
Sorry,, my SA - Service Advisor.
It cost more for per servicing as compared to NPMP as what some Bros here mentioned before.

Haha ... I knew what your SA meant. What I meant is that they appear more like sales assistant who can tell you the price but lacking product knowledge not to mention technical.

-Yes, been to BT before, staffs are generally more helpful, attentive and knowledgeable.
Anyway, they're from 2 different company.

To what I know only MFM maps can be uploaded into our system. Unlike Garmin u can download Malsingmaps or Jerome Wee maps.

As of now the latest update is at Jul 2016, posted in Aug 2016 in MFM forums. Will have to wait for updated SG maps, maybe another 1 or 2 months time.

Just remember our systems GPS software are constantly being upgraded. Just need to maintain the software update and u can upload MFM maps inside.

Or u can get TC to update for u FOC (one time only) when u go for servicing. Just remember to restore back to original backup of your SD card (if u have upload MFM maps) when u do FOC upgrade.

Ok thks for the info. I don't think mine comes with even 1 free update from TC.

Is there a way to get the previous SG map updates as mine is already >1 year old (Jun 2015)?

I saw the previous update is May 2015 and also does not contain SG maps. How often they update SG maps?

Last paragraph, "restore backup to original of your SD card" meaning do a backup and save in SD card? How to do the backup?

So backup first (presuming uploaded MFM) then give TC to do the update?

    Thks, Kstoh.

    2. Ya, I think most after mkt shark fins are just cosmetic ie. not genuine. Shall browse around Taobao or others for any new innovations for the after mkt pdts. :)

    3. My previous rides mostly not keyless and my friends who hv keyless remote had to change fairly frequent say, 1 yrs or so??? Just wonder how lasting is ours... yup, changing batteries shd be quite easy. let me go check up on the battery model. :)

I think he means to backup (copy) the contents of your original SD card before applying MFM updates, and then restore to original before you send to TC for update.

    HLim,

I would ALWAYS stay with OEM ATF CVT oil ... everything to lose with tested performance and nothing to gain unless you know what and have resources and technical capability to test.

Just change more often like 40-50k km compared to recommemded 100k km which I would avoid.

TC servicing really CMI! Had an accident from rear end. Did the repair at TC BT, collected car after 6pm. Their mechanic left the rubbish inside my boot and the new tow hook cover with packaging still inside. They put back my old damage tow hook cover! After warranty I will definitely go outside workshop.

Is it part of their rules n regulations? Anything replaced, they will leave it there so that owners recognised that it was replaced with new.

Last time my fuse replaced, they left it inside too.

My radio reception is very bad. BBC can hardly hear. Other channels vary.

For my shark fin antennae, my SE confirmed that it is just a piece of plastic cover. No antennae wiring at all. In this case, the shark fin antennae can NEVER be better than the original stock stick out antennae.

Where can I get a proper shark fin antennae with wiring that is supposed to improve the radio reception? Or no point?

You can get it online but don't buy the cheapo type. Is just wasting your $$. Go for those with strong signal which easily cost you $20 and above. If install at accessories shop, it should cost you abt $45. Nonetheless, nothing beat the original antenna. It's one of its kind, Super good and clear signal and best of all, not bad looking too. ( my own personal opinion le)

Hi guys, I'm new here. Been driving my Qashqai 1.2 for a few weeks. So far so good.

Saw some recent posts on Michelin Primacy 3 tyres in this thread. I'll like to share that my Qashqai came with Michelin Primacy 3 instead of Conti ones that some fellow forumers received. Not sure of this is going to be the norm moving forward.

So you just sign up for 8 bids non guarantee at $105,800? Did you check how much they out in for your bid yesterday?

Also miss the first round of bid today. 7 more to go...

They will likely get you to top up another 1k+ in the next 2 bids if you still do not get it. What are the Freebies you get from your SE? From Ubi or ?

    Hi all,

Car newbie here. Got my 2.0 and had my 1k servicing a while ago.

I must thank everyone here coz I read all the forum (Part 1 and Part 2) posts which helped me made up my mind to choose this over Vezel and Kadjar. :-). A very happy owner here.

I love the easy handling of this car for my daily city drive. Just a small complain that I feel that there is a lack of power at 1.5krpm and often I have to rev till 2k for moving off, and 2.5k for uphill, and its just me and a skinny child passenger (and no spare tire) in the car.

I have a few questions here and hope someone can help :-)

    1. How do I rest the trip meter (not the total km traveled)?

I can reset trip A and B but there is a separate trip meter and trip time which I can't find the way to reset.

    2. Is the + - shift next to D usable only in Sports mode?

    3. What's the proper way to use it? Like, what's the difference between down shifting and just rev more by pressing harder on the accelerator?

    Much thanks to all!

    1. If you are referring to ODO, you can't reset..but I think you may be referring to something else. Can show pic ?

    2. +/- shift can be used even in normal mode

    3. It is to manually override auto gear which may take longer time to shift up (especially with CVT with rubber effect). Use this it will sort of address your issue.

Add $4K. Same engine as Lite. Lite model has less Accessories. Eg. No leather seats, no GPS and reverse camera, no spare printed door panels and rear bumper diffuser.

Meaning they are going to bid 44k for your purchase? How to get the coe?

Coe drop is obvious but can't be that drastic that soon.

They will not bid 44k for your purchase but will be higher maybe towards the 49k region at least? You can check the bid they put for you on the bidding day then you roughly know for the next few bids how much higher than 44k they are likely to bid for you.

However, for 8 bids no guarantee, you are not likely to get your COE (even after 8 buds) unless there is a sudden big drop of the COE price. Normally they will ask you to top up 1K+ to 2K after the next unsuccessful bids so that they will bid higher for you (where normally after the top up, you should get your car in the next 1 to 2 bids). Hence, if you can wait and want to try your luck (waiting for a drastic drop of the COE) then take the 8 bids price. If not better take the 6 bids non guarantee (aka as more of guarantee COE), you are very likely to get your COE on the first bid if not second.

This is different from what my SE tell me :) What my SE tell me is that alot of SE will first get the buyer to go for non guaranteed COE sign up to lock you down first and after a few unsuccessful bids they will ask you to top up and if you do not, they will continue the bidding. Often or not, those who top up after a few bids will get the COE on the next bid. Those who did not top up will wait longer and often did not get the COE.

My SE has been very honest with me and never push me to sign for the booking and ask me to wait for COE to drop further before booking if I can wait as no point locking myself to the COE price that I do not want and then the COE has a drop later.

My personal point of view, COE is not going to have a drastic drop as gov will control the price but putting new policy once the COE price drop to certain level (the next policy change will likely be allowing back to 10 years loan and then you see the COE price goes up again).

Yes those are the one who goes for non guarantee bid and never top up after requested.

Now there are so call 3 category,

    1) 8 bids non-guaranteed (the confirm non guaranteed bids that will depend on luck and a drastic drop of COe to get)

    2) 6 bids non-guaranteed (aka unofficial new guaranteed bid which you normally get the COE after 1 or 2 bids)

Booked my 2.0 under 8 bids NG. The COE rebate level was at $45K.

SE was recommending to take up the 6 bids NG, as chances of getting COE for 8 bids NG is low unless COE drop.

I told her I will go for 8 bid first and if COE goes up, then I will consider top up.

Got the COE for the 1st bid (in Aug 2nd bidding). Successful bid price $56.5K. TC bidded 56.8K. A close one, lucky for me.

My conclusion is that, for the 8 bids NG, there is a chance only if the COE dip, no need to drop drastically, probably abt $2K. But if COE maintain or up, then no chance.

    Grounding

    1) better spark voltage = more complete fuel burn = more power + better gas mileage
    2) better battery charging characteristics
    3) ability to run more electrical components with less effect on your electrical system (rally lights, stereo, gps, heater etc)
    4) everything electrical performs better (headlights is most noticeable)

Your whole car depends on your electrical system. When I buy a new (to me) car the first thing I do is make sure the electrical system is running as best as it possibly can.

But again ---- depend on the qlty of the cable .......
    Copper is the best conductor

In May is different, as that time there is no such thing as 8 bids no guarantee. They change the non guarantee bid after AUG first bid. AUG first bid and before, you can go with the 6bids non guarantee and you will get the COE likely on first if not second bid. And now it apply the same for the 6 bids non guarantee. But now they have an extra category called 8 bids non guarantee which is about 2k lower than 6 bids non guarantee. Hence for the 8 bid non guarantee, it will be very difficult to get the COE unless there is a drastic drop in the COE price.

Like I have mentioned, on last wed bid I got my COE in the first bid for 6 bids non guaranteed and they bid around 55k for my COE. The CAT A COE drop to 51.5k from 53.8k in Aug last bid. And if I am not wrong a few of them here who was on the 8 bids non guarantee non of them got the COE so TC must have bil lower than 51.5k. Tha is why I ask those bro what is the amount that TC bid for them.

Want to check if rust is normal on the brake rotors? My Qashqai 1.2L is about 10 months old, with stock rims, brake calipers, brake rotors and brake pads.

I noticed the rust on the brake rotors after a car wash at Shell, with Sonax rim cleaning also.

Hv you guys updated on the software recently? It Seems like a different set-up on the ecu, trotter responds seem better with a faster pick up just on a light tap. But i prefer the old setup doh...well I'm still loving my ride since day 1.

Anyway here's my half bucket of England again but tis time I'm be sharing some DIY I'm doing and hope it will interest you.

Other then the coe, whether it's a 2l or a 1.2 qq.... The car seems pretty well built in the hands of the Englishman don't u guys agreed.

Well some may say of cause I'll praise my ride since I've gotten it. But frankly speaking I've got many doubt before buying lol!

Anyway happens tobe with one of my mechanic friend from overseas recently....and as usual his bad habits of checking out my ride....

Humm.... He said.... i notice your car is reasonably quiet. Notice the rear wheel arch, inside it's carpeted. It's use in most conti to isolate noise from stones pebbles and water splash. Trust me most hatch back are very noisy, tis helps alot.

I hate those cheap plastic push lock nuts and clips clams he added... QQ seems tobe using a higher grade materia. But it's still not a 100% perfect in some areas.

The greatest enemy is the heat, when he pop the hoot, It's burning hot... but most turbo cars do... surprisingly most of the stuff needed is there. Intercooler...oil cooler Etc.... Etc....but do remember turbo cars are more costly to repair...Grounding looks good but some hot spots may be consider.

Soon after I've got myself some DEI products from our local agent. Wire/trunking heat shield, battery heat shield.... Etc....especially on the battery from my experience, heat shield is a must! There's also other brands u may try but i prefer DEI.

Oh trust me... It's as easy as putting on a baby's diaper lol! Anyway it's a on going project not fully done up. Hopefully my share helpes for some, it's just a simple clip on product to shield the heat. Try go do some read up if u can. It's good.

If u were tobe like me which prefers running the car stock and without any warranty issues. Tis simple hop up's you may consider which had proven over the years both on road, on track and most modify driver's would do.

Sorry i can't or dont know why i can't post photos maybe It's only my second post.

Well there's many more stuff to share but probably next time... Think I'm too long winded as some may feel lol!

    Thanks for reading.

Sorry but I had a NG 8 bid for my fxt and I got it on 2nd bid when Coe went up.... Booked before the cat b Coe goes up 10k... So I m confused with TC way of bidding.
  • 09 September 2016 - 09:45 PM
    JuzFXT

Ic... Then my se didn't tell me this... Initially it was a 6 bid NG then he change it to 8 NG. I tot there is no different as I m not in a hurry to get my wife's car. Sigh...Anyway, if didn't get after 8 bid then will look for other model... I think by then should have some new model coming.

    Hi,

So you just sign up for 8 bids non guarantee at $105,800? Did you check how much they out in for your bid yesterday?

They will likely get you to top up another 1k+ in the next 2 bids if you still do not get it. What are the Freebies you get from your SE? From Ubi or there

I got another 1K discount. They bid around 49K+ for me.

Hope that they will not ask me to top up as I am not keen at all to do that.

The usual freebies, and I think the SE throw in the magnetic sunshades from his pocket.

My agent is from LK. Not bad service. Very patient during the purchase and also give a call soon after the closing of the COE bidding to update me.

    Hi Tyer & JuzFXT,

So both of you TC bid 49k for you which is like 4K lower than the amount they bid for me. The initial bid they put is 53K then raise it to 55K as they wanted to get the COE for me, 8 bids will really be tough but who knows, you might have a chance next bid if COE reduce again to near 50k (finger cross) and TC decide to bid 1 more K for both of you by raising the bid in the later part of the bidding time.

By the way, you can ask for more freebies beside the usual front and back cam and the solar film. So talk to your SE but I did that before i do my booking so not sure if your SE will give you more freebies after you have done your booking. Anyway, no harm asking :)

BTW anyone know why are there is a control on the number of post we can make each day and need what approval from others to allow you to post more?

How this approval work and can your approve me? New to posting in this forum.

Was cleaning the window stains after lunch at a AMK carpark and beside a merz driver suddenly making small talk asking about QQ fc, driving experience etc... Thinks he like the QQ :)

By the way, any QQ owners have this slight sweet aroma coming from the aircon in the morning?

Nissan Qashqai has that bespoke presence that catches the attention of owners of more expensive Premium makes. It's as good as a continental car, being assembled in the United Kingdom.

Actually I was thinking about the auto fold mirror too but in the end decide not too as does not feel the needs to always fold the mirror as it is locally fix if want and keep auto folding it each time start the car will cause the mechanism to spoil in due time.

The fuel tank for this car is 65 litres. 800 km / 65 litres work out to 12.3 km/l, which is definitely achievable, at least for the 1.2T. On expressway, I did 19.0 km/l yesterday. (here is the story to the photos above)

Ever bump into a qq driver at a carpark? Both same colour?
All excited about each others ride and sharing of experience?
Well, this was the exact feeling I had today!
All went well for the first 5min but this excitement died pretty quickly.

It was like love at first sight. I drove past her, lowered my window and greeted her with care not wanting to frighten her. Since we both drove qq, I told her my problems and she had some disagreements. I asked her to hop in, and she did. We drove up the mscp, and we agreed that my car may have some issues.

Later on, being young at heart like all qq owners are, we went down the mscp to fetch her car. Drove up the mscp once again, to check if both cars responded the same and it did. We giggled. She decided to park right next to my car.
One thing lead to another, we found ourselves in my car again. Soon it was time to part ways. I opened my door gently but the wind was strong. My door swung wide open and hit onto hers. This was when the excitement died.

By the way if you think is it csb, it isnt.

We went down to check immediately
We both looked at the top part of his door panel. Maybe becos i was holding my door frame and i thought that was the point of impact.
I was behind my car door so i couldnt see in front of it.
He alighted, stood in front and initially said no damage too. We both sighed in relief.
However upon further inspection, he discovered a dent.
That was when i regretted and knew i should have exercised caution....
    You know? Moments like these...
(anyway..... just look at how far apart we are parked! still can kena... :a-panic: blardee wind [smash] )

Feel sorry for you. I bet it wasn't in your wildest dream that it would turn out like that. Hope can settle it amicably. Go for dent removal, should be able to restore it back to original condition.
Let us know, hope it turn out well.

They just insert a tool to massage the dented area to its original state.

Very nice of your SE to inform you, I can't recall if my SE share the info with me. It could be that I was too excited with the collection of new car that I din pay attention..

Oh it is not at the collection of the car but at the time when you do your booking you need to register already. If after that then you have to tell them to update the points. :)
