Yes, almost a Lucas Mark 2. When first joined, did decent for a few games, but becos of the expectation mounted on him by you-know-who (for the nickname), he didn't do well and was out in the cold for long spells.

But he persevered and worked hard and did his best when called up, and eventually won over most of the fans, especially in the last 6 mth of his Pool career.

Not sure with the influx of new signings, how will LFC fared in the upcoming season. Not fanfare, no well known signings but some are real exciting additions. Speed and mobility seems to be what Klopp is looking for when deciding who to sign although availability and willingness to cross over is also very much of a concern.

As in past seasons, I believe that most of our signings (whether they are known good players or not) are good footballers. Question is whether they can play well as a team. Gelling them in with our current crop will be the test but in Klopp, I trust.

I have nothing against BR. I thought he did reasonably ok in the beginning but with the departures of LS and RS, it just became too much for him to handle.

Alas, I sensed that there is hope in the air and a breath of freshness when the new season kicks off.

Barcelona's passing is still slick, esp 1st half whereby once we allow them back to their passing game, they could easily slice the defence with those through passess.

Fitness-wise, i think Barcelona lose out to Liverpool.

I would say that after starting the game in the first 5-8 mins, we gave Barcelona no room to play their football.

What i observed as improvements in our game �- faster releasing of the ball (preferably one-touch) once we regain any possession that can cause the opponent to be off-guard.

How can we have uncertainty and consistency in our starting line up when our no 1 striker is always unavailable?

I hope sturridge realized that when he is fit, he cannot just walk into the team. He must be prepared to sit on the bench and help the team from the bench when he is asked to. He no longer has the right to even question why he is not in the starting when he is fit because he wasn't there at all in the first place. In short he cannot be our no 1 striker anymore.

i think loaning Flanno out its good. he is not first choice in both FB positions. and full backs are usually the last to be sub out to change tactics as most can play wing backs.

Can't comment if didn't see full claus. But before injury flanno is indeed on the verge of breaking into first team. So Burnley may see the Benefit. Plus we never know if they have option to cancel loan if peformance is lousy.

I tink i read somewhere the lucas himself asked for some time to tink abt his move to gala. Likely both he n pool undecided whether he should move or not. N now that pool having some injury issues, made the decision to stay a lot easier. No loss for us. N i tink he is more than happy to stay.

Dunno whether to believe my premonition on not to predict now that we've won...

Dollar coaster game again. Bad for the heart, definitely. It was depressing until Coutinho's free kick. I couldn't believe that with the attacking talent we had (Firmino, Coutinho, Mane, Lallana, Winjaldum, etc.), we just didn't pose any serious threat much. And then our mr Mopiko can give away penalty; and still not enough, actually deserted his position to give up the morale-boosting advantage of Mig's penalty save...

Coutinho is still Coutinho. Quiet for most of the match, but could do things that matter, as shown by his 2 goals. Could have had a 2nd hattrick in 3 mth, if he did a repeat of the striker's touch in front of cech...

Lallana was a disaster right up to his well-taken goal. Another one who was quiet/poor but suddenly sprung to life with a solid contribution. Pity he didn't seal it earlier after Cech saved from Coutinho.

Mane was incredible, using his pace and skills to good effect when given the chance. Hope he scores winner against all the top clubs to make his price a bargain.

Firmino was poor, and slow, although he could use his skills to max effect - the gunner CBs must be si bey sian to be punished so many times, and in the process kanna exposed by Clyne, Mane, Firmino so badly.

Hendo also poor. One of the poorer ones. Only contribution was to help slow game down without making any errors.

Winjaldum was ok. Could have done better when he had sight of goal.

Defensively, somehow all 4 committed some form of errors for the 3 goals. Mopiko most jialat. Luckily he max'ed out his errors early on and didn't continue it throughout. Clyne was too elated still when Chamberlein scored. Gunners attacked a lot more from his side from then on, and it was worrying...

Lovren and Klavan both couldn't win header for the last goal conceded. Not a good sign... Better improve the headers...

Mig was a mixed bag. good penalty save, but could have done better with all 3 goals, and maybe got chance to keep 1 or 2 out, but to be fair, the defence let him down for all 3.

The subs did ok, helped to see out the game.

I mentioned i was quietly confident beforehand. But didn't expect to score 4 and let in 3... close shave in the end...

Hope the good start against a top team will create a momentum to see us bag more maximum points.

I was infuriated by the tackle from Moreno and even more so when he got up, pretended nothing has happen, was surprise that a penalty was awarded and confronted the linesman. He didn't get any of the ball but all of�Walcott.�

I thought the penalty save from Mignolet was a sign of lady luck and it might just be Liverpool's afternoon. If I am the manager, I would certainly have immediately �sub Moreno off after his disappearance act on the left allowing�Walcott to score. I cannot believe he can make such costly mistake in that short span of time.�

The defense has to show more desire when it comes to winning the ball.�Chamberlain pulling one back was a lack of desire to shut down the run on the left. And then the cheap free kick outside the area that led to the third goal. The team needs to be more compose when defending.�

The positives from the game would be the new signing came in and play well. Both players are experience with the league and can come in without the need to adjust. Even new defender�Ragnar Klavan played well in his first game.�

It's difficult to attach HDMI cables to this tv cos it's wall mounted to a feature wall. I have already 2 HDMI cables running up to the ledge. which i placed with great difficulty cos the HDMI Cables are being run within the feature wall itself.

Aiyah it's just bit marfan. Haha not a big issue but marfan. Nvm will sort it out when I'm free this wk.

Actually I am not so much concern with asernal. They are late starter. Always cone to life (started playing in Nov or early Dec.) That was why I didn't overjoyed with our scoreline yesterday. I rather with win 1 nil or 1:1.

Playing against attacking team (barca as well)we can try to out score them. How about team sitting deep. Can we pry open to find a goal? We need cover in our defence. Yah I just watched the clip. Quite true because firmino is more hardworking and know how to press we'll compare to pure striker like origi and sturridge. But I think origi and sturridge will be useful against teams who like to sit back and defend deep.

Liverpool rejected the bid yesterday after indicating the triggers for the additional payments over a four year period were unrealistic.

I thought so too. In fact not only Origi but also Can. But Henderson did played well last week so no reason to drop him. As for Sturridge I think its because it is just Burnley, so he gets a start. If it is playing against top teams Klopp will morely likely to either use Firmino who can press well or Origi.

I personally think he didnt play well. But I read the comments from other forums most of them think he played well, especially in the 2nd half. I did notice that when he is in the attacking 3rd, he is much better. But his shooting is not lethal and he doesnt provide that killer touch too.�

Hurt but we must face the fact kloop still yet to find solution against those defensive team like last season. We can offer much suggestion/idea for kloop. He wont listen. He know our weakness and strength. Hope he can quickly come up with a solution. Other wise sooner or later we will be out of running even by December.

I don't post during off season (during transfer). I just read up and keep my opinion to myself 9n those transfers. The bottom line is new players needed time to gel. Needed time to adapt. No matter how good of reputation they still need to perform in the season.

The Pool players are only giving at most about 80-85% of their capacity; whereas Burnley players are max out.

Sturridge and Milner should have been sub out at half time; not at 65 and 77 min respectively. Sturridge in fact should be benched in the first place.

Coutinho missed at least 6 shots at goal, majority way out of the top. What has happened to the pre-match training?

As mentioned elsewhere, possession these days doesn't mean a thing. It is the finishing that matters. The old adage of one chance one goal; no ifs not buts. Mane is just one key player. His absence cannot be used as an excuse.

The weekend has been one disappointment after another.

First, ManU won, then City won, then i tried for 20 min to find somewhere to watch the match live on my android box(es), and could only see chelsea match wherever showing premier league... So first normal weekend (last week's match was scheduled at a time where gunners vs pool was the only match) after i gave up my mio stadium subscription, couldn't get to watch pool play...

The most disappointing thing was as i was searching high and how, was keeping track of the score, and found us first 1-0, then 2-0 down. and the score remained that way...�

To be fair, this is Klopp's first full season at Pool so time must be given to him to get the squad to accept and produce what he wants. I do see you point on getting better players in�but you have to leave it to the Mgr to call the shots on this. Can't just buy for the sake of buying and also some quotes are downright ridiculous. 26 years is a long time by Liverpool standard. Leicester has never have any major success except for a few league cups win before last season. So by their standard, they didnt actually "wait" to win the league. They are creating a new history for themselves.�

If he really misbehaved, was disrespectful etc then he deserves to be put in his place else how the Mgr going to control the dressing room. However, sometimes ego plays a part n hopefully common sense on both sides results in an amicable ending.

Pool needs a fit Sakho n vice versa. Everyone loses if both sides insist on standing their ground. Obviously Mgr will win if Sakho doesn't make the first move to make peace n anyway it may already be too late, we shall see.

This would be Hendo's more natural position and if he's still not making the most of it, i think no more chance liao. When i first saw Mane played against i think Chelsea last season or 2 seasons ago, i was impressed by his speed and switch of pace. Left opponents trailing behind him most of the time.

True. His turn of pace is very gd, similar to suarez. N he is also veey direct when attacking. No nonsense of passing here n there.

not asking him to bend la. not as if sakho lead a player revolt or something. we dunno the details of why he was sent home, which i believe klopp should address if sakho is indeed sent out on loan.

When i first saw Mane played against i think Chelsea last season or 2 seasons ago, i was impressed by his speed and switch of pace. Left opponents trailing behind him most of the time.

It would obviously be good if there are more of his type and we could get another, but it's so rare. He has decent - maybe not top top level - skills and control, can shoot, is hardworking and is so fast. I don't think we have any player who is so fast since the heydays of Michael Owen.
