Its can be charged using the car cigar point, or wall charger.
The whole idea is not to bring home to charge, but to charge it using cigar socket while driving for those who do not wish to tap to car battery. tongue.gif

i am not sure how they do it.

my presumptions are that the iN CAR VEHICLE RECORDER/cameras are self substaining and has a sdCard and it records on it
while it is being powered by the car battery.

Wanna ask bros out there for your views...

Let's say you happen to record a traffic violation, to what extent will you send your video to the TP? For example, you recorded a car cutting across double white line or changing lanes recklessly, or even stopping along double yellow zig-zag lines. But the driver's action did not pose any danger to you or other road users, i.e. you need not jam brakes, etc. Will you still report him/her to the TP?

It depends. Sometimes, those drivers are so unrepentant (e.g. giving me the SMLJ face) when I horn them for suddenly cutting into my lane, yes, I will report them.

As my daily journey involves passing by several schools in a 2 lane traffic. A lot of parents wanted to save time by alighting their children along the road side causing a lot of vehicles to stop and change lane (also danger) as well, I will report those parents as well (for causing inconvenience and safety hazard to other road users at their convenience).

Agreed, splitting can be messy but I am currently not intending to hide the cables.
I run the wires by myself using those 3M cables holders because I do not want to hassle of going to a workshop just to remove the wires if I even need to change car or some other issues...

Hi, may I ask if Tpower is compatible with all types of power sockets found in the various DVRs? My DVR uses a mini head phone jack for power. Some other models in the market uses mini USB power socket.

OK..my connection as per first photo. So far no problem and this morning, I just check again..no issue. Able to power both cameras and GPS.

    1. GPS and two cameras connect to Ignition with both cameras tap to Tpower of each

    2. no GPS..GPS direct tap to ignition side of the key holder

    2. You also can get this splitter...if you want to just one Tpower..but no sure whether one Tpower can hold two cameras

    Hi bro,

in the first 2 pictures, you had 2 sets of tpower battery? i think most of us wouldn't want to buy 2 sets of battery.

in your third picture, how does the tpower connect to the splitter? by the cable provider by tpower or cigarette lighter socket?

finally, where did you purchase this splitter?

2 short beeps is caused by impact sensor when it detects impact.
Use the unit to format by pressing & holding down the mic button until u hear a long beep. Let go and let it format.

    Hi bro,

in the first 2 pictures, you had 2 sets of tpower battery? i think most of us wouldn't want to buy 2 sets of battery.

in your third picture, how does the tpower connect to the splitter? by the cable provider by tpower or cigarette lighter socket?

finally, where did you purchase this splitter?

Bro, my mistake..the Tpower is not the battery that Shochong is selling..The Tpower here i meant the UPS or uninterrupted Power cable or Itronics Power Magic.
    Sorry for my mistake...
the splitter..u can get it from gmarket

For Tpower..you may get this one http://www.dealextre...cket-12v-117599 (think Sim Lim Tower might have it)
and go Sim Lim Tower and get those 3.5mm pin plug that connect to the Tpower. U just bring the original cable that for connect the Tpower to camera.
Show them you want to put the same type of plug to the car cigarette (female) end point..they will make for you..

or get this type of cable..the Y-splitter cable for power

Another way is buy this http://www.ebay.com/...=item416728745f and cut off the cable and join the cable to the power cable from the Tpower to the camera

Here is a picture of how I run the wires in my car. All the adapters and splitter, I made myself.

    Cig plug(male) -> Deans Plug -> splitter -> Deans plug -> Cig plug(female) -> Tpower -> JST plug -> Car camera

Deans plug rated for 30-60A DC

JST plug rated for 10A DC

Why I use JST plug??? Cos I dont want to damage the pin for the car camera from my daily plugging in n out for change of battery.

Hi, may I ask if Tpower is compatible with all types of power sockets found in the various DVRs? My DVR uses a mini head phone jack for power. Some other models in the market uses mini USB power socket.

Tpower comes with different power plug adaptors?

    Can anyone please help?

Should be no problem as long as is 12v and current is within what the Tpower supply. check the specification of ur camera vs the Tpower. The other concern is the plug which u might need to find on ur own...

    Thanks for sharing bro. happy.gif

I was looking at the DC Splitter which you have shown but the plug connector size does not really much to that of the camera.
    Guess I will DIY.
Will be down to Sim Lim this Sunday to source again. tongue.gif
Once I get that to work, then I will get another camera to test out.

thanks anyway but what I meant to ask is whether T-power supplies in the package the power plug of BOTH types...i.e. a mini jack and also a mini USB jack.

My DVR now uses a mini jack to supply power but may want to change to another model later that uses USB jack.

See my postings a few pages back. MO had this problem also. Get the adapter from Sim Lim Tower and make one urself. Easy to DIY.

    Tpower output is 12V.

Ur car camera using mini usb should be 5V.

U cannot plug Tpower directly to ur car camera. U will 101% burn ur car camera the instant u plug it in. U will need to make an adapter from Tpower to ut car camera cig plug which has a step down transformer build-in.

Check with ShoChong, he might have lobang for ppl to mass produce such adapter. Otherwise just go down sim lim tower and ask the shop there to make it for u. Labour is bewteen $3 to 5 per piece.

Male boss is a honkie n centre of head is bald. Speaks mandarin with very strong HK accent. He does the labour.

Lady boss is long hair n I think is malaysian or prc. They are both partners for the shop but not in a relationship. She is married to another guy who repairs aircon but once in a while drop by the shop to help. She gives better price than the male boss.

Thanks for the info, very important to take note...but my original question is not quite answered. Let me try to phrase it the best I can again:

My present DVR is a Blackvue DR350. It has a minijack type power plug that is connected to my fusebox by FoonAudio. My question is...does Tpower supply the minijack type power plug in the package already? Or it only comes with the mini USB power plug?

I have checked the spec of my DVR, it says it can handle 12-24volts, so 12 volts from T power should be fine right?

Can, provided your in-car camera is using 5V input as normally these power banks only outputs via USB in 5V.

Scratch my question about USB power plug. I understand better now what others and bro Adrian are saying. If USB type plug, it will supply 5V only. So I conclude, 12V T-power will NEVER configure their connection in mini USB plug otherwise some innocent user may fry their 5V device.

So, it also means that T-power is NOT suitable for all type of devices, only suitable for DVR that specifies 12V inlet.

Those devices that uses mini USB type power supply cannot use T-power without some elaborate DIY fitting of adaptors, etc.

Tpower comes with mini plug suitable for DR350 and most korean car camera. It does not come with mini USB plug. In the industry, mini USB is only for 5V.

Tpower sold in korea has options to choose ur output mini plug size, from 2.5 to 5.5mm.

Yes, u can use Tpower with ur DR350 without need to change the plugs.
