It was a totally unexpected result as hot favourites Liverpool crashed to a 3-0 defeat at Anfield against a Wolfsburg team led by former coach Rafa Benitez.
The home side were a pale shadow of themselves as J22 had made several late changes due to players failing their last min fitness tests ie. Gerrard, Suarez.
The 1st half was a sleepy encounter as both sides were content to play keep ball in the middle of the park.
But in the 2nd half, Wolfsburg upped the tempo and played a high pressing counter and caught the home side napping on a few occasions.
Finally on 56min, CB Badstuber sneaked in at the far post after a knock down from a freekick and easily tapped home! That was his first goal of the season and got the away side spurred on.
Further goals from Honda & Salihovic made the scoreline a deserved result and the home side were booed off the pitch by fans who were still waiting for a league title since 1990.
"I am still on familiar terms with some of the players esp. Stevie & Pepe.. In fact Stevie texted me before the game he was disappointed not to start & i changed my tactics once i knew that..
